What build do you guys use for alphonse on a defensive team?
As a f2p I usually use the starters as my bonus unit, so I can save some orbs without worrying much about arena bonus unit.
Alphonse is the one who usually get little less defensive wins.
I was thinking

Atk 3 seal

Luna/bonfire

wings of mercy 3(as I usually have 2 ranged units on my defensive team)

What you guys think?
Definitely the second. WoM is a death sentence (no pun intended) in Arena, since a character that can't die in 1 or 2 hits will often be defeated by already being weakened from range. Generally, you're also aiming to cause 1 death as opposed to winning, since Arena uses AI that can have questionable judgement.
