So on a whim I decide to summon for my perfect IV catria(+res, -hp) choosing the original bridal banner as it has 2 blues I don't have. Only 1 blue stone, and...

Now what to do with her. It took me a while to figure out her IVs (-Spd, +Def ugh) as the weapon box on here is wrong.

Do I patch up her speed or capitalize on the superboon. I'd like to keep her weapon as it's kind of what makes her special.

I have exact same Ivs and build her with default weapon/def refine/brazen atk/def bonfire vantage atk smoke and close def 3 deal. She has 51 hp and 32 def. I use her to initiate. Most the time getting into vantage range. She gains 5 def/res from weapon and brazen adds 7 and CD seal adds 6 giving a total of 50def. due to being slow she gets doubled a lot making bonfire ready and charged to deal 25 extra damage with vantage to blast away. Plus atk smoke is spread across making it more harder to kill her. Tho I stay clear of dragons and mages as her res ain’t the best. Her nice bulk of hp makes her able to live even under 75% hp. Could use reciprocal aid if she can’t survive initiation to enter hp percentages

Double down on this. I have a similar Charlotte (+hp-spd, so almost there) and I run almost the same build. She's a frickin tank and does her job all too well.

I was kind of leaning towards the capitalizing on her Def. Though with how stacked she is (in the HP department!), and the fact I don't have an Ares to fodder off Brazen Atk/Def, I'm thinking she would be good to run Panic Ploy/Earth Boost on (maybe Renewal 3 to keep the HP up) - at least for now.

Similar in many ways, your build is probably more reliable in the long run, so I may just have to wait for an Ares.

28 def + a def refine + the weapon effect could definitely get quite tanky, I would be tempted to go all in on that.
29 spd isn't great, but people do refine speed on 30 spd Nowis to help not get doubled so I guess it's something to consider.

What are you planning to do with that Catria?

You’re not required to build her though. She’s really not good in the first place and those IVs don’t help at all.

You're right (about not needing to build her), and I won't start building her until after I finish my Catria (need more feathers!), but being a seasonal 5* exclusive I'm not going to just fodder my only one off unless I really feel it'll make another unit really fun and great and can't be achieved more cheaply (not a very likely scenario here). Basically it boils down to, since she's going to take up room in the barracks "permanently" I may as well get some use out of her, so I was seeking ideas on what to do with her.

Seeing as how I'm not likely to start building her immediately anyway, waiting for an Ares fits perfectly, so now when the time comes I have a build Idea for her (which is what I was asking for).

That’s fair enough! I wasn’t trying to tell you what to do at all, I should clarify. Honestly if she has 28 Def with a boon and no reason to make that boon work aside from just having it, then it’s probably not worth it. I just wanted to clarify this because people have a strange attitude of being required to sink resources into things just because they’re given for free in normal FE, so I just like to clear up little misconceptions like that. Play how how you want though, and have a nice day! :)
