Buff this guy. Seriously, he wasnt very good a year ago and is so much worse by now. Give him SOMETHING. Or remove him from the bonus pool, the other 3 free heroes are at least useful.

He better have a solid weapon refine that will make up for all the things that is making him a hard unit to use nowadays. It can be so brutal using him especially for character quests.

He's not that bad. Hive him Brave sword+, Death blow 3, and swordbreaker, and he's good to go.

The trio will get something new once they've hit Nifl, based on the story. So that's probably in the next update.

Imo even if he was buffed there's still way too many f2p sword unit options alone that are either still better or more interesting to invest in (BK Joshua Marisa zephiel xander Lloyd Navarre). Not even gonna get into the summonable sword units. But when there's askr quests there's alphonse sadly I am yet to 5* any of the 3 just can't dedicate 20k feathers to any of them at all. I'd rather just tough em out as 4* for when they're needed.

With Folkvanger getting a Brave Effect or something like that he would be another very hard hitting dude that can take a little physical beating. I agree his stat spread isnt optimal, but maybe they get really creative.

He just needs something that can improve his base kit. His death blow wants him to go player phase but with poor speed, he would prefer a brave sword. A lot of people will feel a bit disappointed not being able to make use of his Folkvanger. Plus the requirement to make use of its effect is quite steep. But a nice upgrade for his prf weapon could be something like at 75% HP threshold that activates a follow-up attack that does not need speed as a condition.

Change Defiant Atk 2 for either Brazen Atk/Def 3 or Death Blow 3 and he will do fine.
Refinement for Brave Sword seems most logical.
And afterwards he is pretty viable.
