Aiming for a single unit in B8% Banner

Do you guys think it is possible through some little whaling and what do you think would be the best way to do so?
Basically I really want Halloween Jakob and I've kept summoning on grey but either I get pitybroken by a Legendary Robin (must be my 5th by now) or a Genny, either by another coloured hero when there is no colourless orb or I try to rise up the pity rate. Dunno whether or not I should give up, spent a little more than I thought and still no H.Jakob on sight

It's very hard to snipe for a single unit on a legendary banner.
The best advice I can give is only summon on a color if you have 2 or more units you want from that color.
However, if you really want Halloween Jakob, you can go for him. Genny is Wrathful Staff fodder, and Legendary Robin can become very tanky with flier buffs due to her being colorless.
It's not all bad when you get pitybroken on a legendary banner, which is their good side. Their bad side is it's very hard to snipe for a specific unit.
In the end, only keep summoning for Halloween Jakob if you really want him. Otherwise, save your orbs.

In a past 8% banner i was pulling for summer corrin and shiro block me 4 times in a row until my orbs reach 0.

So you decide if is a good idea to continue or simply give up.

There's really just no way to tell if your dream unit is a pull away or not. I got the unit I wanted in this banner in under 150 orbs (and with pulling the other 2 units from their color), but other times I've dumped in all my orbs and gotten nothing. It comes down to if you think your luck (and wallet, I guess) is feeling up to it.

From my experience in this banner was very swell. I saved up +80 orbs and got 5 5 stars including the unit I always dreamt of which is Inigo. I got 2 L!Lyns (one from free summon lololololololol), a VIke (sorta of a waste but henry was the pity breaker in the circle so not really), and a Henry (now one of my fav armors). Most of the 5 stars I got was green and I intentionally sniped for greens (though was pretty surprised I got VIke when I summoned it by accident) since it had Inigo and I wanted lyn for blessed gardens (thinking about it now not sure if it was even worth it to pull for her for one thing) so I had a pretty good chance of getting what I wanted. My advice to you is to think about your choices and have a good reason why you want to choose it (and always assume that you're not always gonna get what you want). And for sniping just snipe for units you want that are in the same color like I did (colorless imo is left to be desired so good luck with that Jakob hunting).

I got my Jakob and the I realized I have no Bold Fighter that he absolutely must have. Just running BBow alone won't suffice. Jakob's OP strength is that he rapes everyone with guaranteed Ignis on player phase. His attack power would be atrocious vs all those arena armor/dragon tanks. But Ignis just invalidates that.
