Aether worth taking on my A!Tiki?(Warding breath)

(+ATK -SPD, Skills in photo)So I know the most popular answer is yes because it's a very useful special and WB charges it very fast, however I feel like the timing for it would be off in most scenarios, going off on her second counter attack which would limit how much she heals from it. That being said it also can work really well if they can't follow up so that I will go into my next fight with aether ready, or if vantage procs and puts me in a similar scenario. But the reason for this question is I just think the first scenario is what will happen 80% of the time. (Side note she would have Ignis here over bonfire, just waiting on a fodder for it)

Typically, if a unit is used competitively, Aether is used for the scoring weight it adds, not necessarily because it’s better. A perfect example: Ignis is better on Michalis because with QR and a cooldown effect, he can fire off ignis every enemy phase when he has QR active, winning 99% of fights. But Aether scores so much better, so it usually is what ends up being used. Same can be applied to Tiki.

So the real question becomes whether or not you want to use her competitively or for fun. Because if it’s the former, slap Aether on her. If it’s more the latter, pick what you like best.

TG15 has some valid points, but for my money Aether is the better special anyway. Ignoring score, it provides her with the healing she needs to sustain against multiple enemies, along with providing a decent damage boost. She will proc it in every round of combat, usually on her second hit (though Vantage might throw this off), and can use it to finish off her foe after her first hit. Ignis provides the most raw damage but I think the sustain provided by Aether makes up for it.

I agree with that, but with her adaptive damage I'm saying the healing might be off since she tends to do more than half their health on her first attack, meaning when aether does proc, the healing will be reduced since their lack of health and the damage will be lower due to the adaptive damage taking the lowest of their def/res. Of course if she does half their half with the first attack having the utility from aether would be more value than the damage from ignis
