Aether Raids- Season Bonus?

I was wondering about the blue "+1" to some buildings and found it was season bonus structure, but here's where the issue arises.
My defense has lost the last 2 defenses because they had +1 to their fortress. While the season bonus has been anything but fortress.
Does people have different season bonus?

Having that building will boost your fortress's level by 1. It applies for both Offense and Defense.

All people should have the same bonus structure.

The current bonus structure is the infantry school, so if the player has an infantry school on their offense team then their fortress gets the blue "+1". Next week is armor school btw.

Imo it's critical to have the defense structure every season.

It's hard to play without it but being behind by one level is usually manageable. I went T17 to T18 without bonus structures, but that's one of the easier promotions.

Offense or defense, or both? I let my defense down 1 level and it got crushed. Now thats my priority and I like to keep it maxed out. I can manage offense being 1 fortress level down, but I still get my bonus structure so im not terribly behind.

I agree offense is manage able if your down a level, but if I attack and their defense is down 1 level, its a breeze.

Yeah the system here is a little confusing. The bonus structure each season must be deployed for your Fortress to get the bonus. The bonus always applies to the fortress as long as you have the seasonal structure in play regardless of what that structure is. I agree with one of the commenters here that it's critical to have the bonus structure deployed each season.
