Aether raid defense reward?

I made a defense team and they have won some battles but I dont see what the point of it is. I have a few labeled Success and a few where it was a failure but enemies were lost. No matter what though it says the lift is -0.
Am i supposed to gain something from this?

The only way I know how to gain lift is offense but I feel like I should be gaining more by now
