Wouldn't you have benefited better by having Wrath on B and QR on the SS slot? Just a thought.

One. Or none. :D It is a fearsome enemy phase build though as it currently stands, I'll give ya that. It just seems like the direction you're going (enemy phase annihilation) could use a boost.

I had exactly one, and I was feeling kind of bad because I actually like her (and she was +Atk/-Def, which isn't too far from ideal)... at least I sacrificed her off to a good cause:

I barely managed to get one, wrath is such a good skill but its just to exspensive to sacrifice one unless you have plenty of her sitting around.

That is a difficult tank to break, and I definitely see your reasoning to the Deflect Melee seal, but personally I would recommend the new Quick Riposte seal. I think you'd get greater benefit out of him doubing(and thus having a guaranteed activation of Ignis) than of having higher def against the occasional brave sword/axe/lance.

I admit I didn't put a ton of thought into it. I saw a guy on Youtube make a "Bruiser" build more Michaelis, which worked on Fortess Def, Wo Dao-effect and Vantage + Deflect (a really good combo I copied). Found it really cool ever since, and I wanted to try it out with my Hawkeye and see if I could finally bring myself an extra reason to add him to one of my teams.

That's where I started taking a bit more interest in these "Duelists" archtypes, where they basically beat an opponent 1-on-1 by outlasting them. Seeing them proc Vantage > Ignis is just so satisfying. They can even take on the toughest Reds, like Ayra.

I was also very linear with my builds, at one point. I basically tried heavily empaphizing on offensive builds and basically slapped Fury/L&D > Desperation into every one of those. And if they weren't offensive, it was likely pretty much Fury > QR (or some other defense-amping A-slot). The variety you see on Youtube inspires you to take on different things, and sometimes even shows it's better to make the best out of your strengths than to try and patch up weak areas for average "All-Rounders"...just look at those insane 75 Def Berukas with average-ish stats all-around, but then proceed to nuke the whole cast for 50+ burst damage.

Not incredibly detailed, but basically, you stack as much buffs as you can. You add up respective Emblem buffs (Wards/Fortifies), Drive, Goads, Spurs and supports. This way, my Hawkeye can apparently reach Def in the mid 50's.

You might also want to look into making them as practical (realistic & feasible) as you can. In my case, I don't think it's farfetched to assume one S-support partner with Hone & Spur Def (total of 10 Def) and another one with Drive Def (an extra 3)...

Report

Damn. All that even before summoner support. You should show him more love. Maybe give him DC or Steady Breath. The ceiling on these kind of heroes surprises most people. Here's my dearest at her optimum, non realistic performance.

Report

That's actually not all that impressive, sorry to say. My Hawkeye (+1) with Fury is currently sitting at 51/51/22/38/33.

I also like to keep my Summoner Support on him, making his stats 56/53/24/40/35, which is a better stat line then armored units get, but without the movement restrictions.

THAT'S how you make Hawkeye effective ;) lol

I have a shit ton of skills on his library, Fury included. There's a reason I'm not including it at the moment, and that's because recoil damage limits the amount of opponents he can take on in a single battle. And, apparently, the extra Atk is fairly negligible, given his massive Ignis damage output (can 1HKO a TA3 Ayra with the right buffs).

And I agree, that does seem like a pretty badass statspread. I might hitch for a neutral Res Hawkeye (mine is +Def/-Res), to see if I can even improve his magic-soaking.
