About Thunder Armads?

I'm a little confused by the effect, does it mean Legendary Hector needs more allies around him than the enemy for him to deny follow-ups, or do he need to be distant from his allies?

"if the number of allies within two spaces (excluding unit) > the number of foes within two spaces (excluding target), foe cannot make a counterattack"

so say hector has an ally next to him (only one within two spaces) and he gets attacked by an enemy.

-the attacking enemy has no allies within two spaces of hector >> hector denies the follow up attack from the enemy. hector has 1 ally and the enemy has none so 1 > 0. the conditions are met and the enemy is denied a follow up attack

-the attacking enemy has one ally within two spaces of hector >> hector has one ally as well. 1 = 1. the conditions are not met and the enemy may perform a follow up attack.

-the attacking enemy has two allies within two spaces of hector >> hector only has one. 1 < 2. the conditions are not met.

in any event that hector has no allies within two spaces, no follow up attacks are denied.

any time that hector's allies > enemy's allies, hector may deny the follow up attack

edit // oops yeah my bad follow-up atk not counterattack lmao

Are you sure about this? Your explanation is centered around enemy phase and followup attack, but the wording of the skill implies player phase and counter attack.

eg: If Hector initiates on an isolated enemy and has 1 ally within 2 spaces, he gets the dazzling effect on his attack and the enemy cannot counter.

The weapon's description does not mention anything about denying followup attack from an attacking enemy, regardless of ally positioning.

EDIT: Nevermind! I went back to double check and the skill does actually say "follow-up attack." Only your post said "counter attack." It should work as you described.
