About silas...

He has no news skills...
possibly after this new heroes event, he get demoted? like Ares was.
his A and C skill seems interesting for physical tank builds. His weapon has only niche and we already have a cavalary/flier/infantry with that weapon... also he is some favorite character of mine, in birthright game helps you to seek rare nhorian classes.

Yeah, I actually like Silas, and am excited for the possibility of him being demoted, I just wish he had a different weapon. :(

Why are most of my favorite units blue? I can't make an all blue team!! T-T

Report

Oh then yea and it doesn’t help that his skills are somewhat lackluster. You’ll have to change it completely unless you want him to be a tanky boi

There's always the possibility he gets a prf weapon later on. Look at Odin, Cherche, and even Nephenee. I feel like IS probably hasn't decided what weapon to give him so they've shoved him to the side for now so his interest isn't prioritized. But I have a hunch he'll eventually get one. 👍

We literally just got a tanky lance cavalry unit that does extra damage to armored units (and infantry/cavalry). Ive said it before, lance pool is boring and crowded which hurts.

Report

Well, when a lot of the interesting effects are being shoved to sword units, then a lot of the other weapon categories can get kind of boring. Bows and Daggers are probably the most uninteresting due to how much they're lacking in terms of variety.

Thank Naga they added a new inheritable bow to the summoning pool, even though it's 5* exclusive, because the most interesting bows were probably Clarisse's Bow and Cupid's Arrow, and the latter being locked to a seasonal.

The most interesting lance we have in the normal summoning pool is, what, Berkut's Lance? Maybe Reprisal Lance?

We already got the res-equivalent of Safeguard, yet we don't have a lance that does the same thing as Berkut's Lance, but with defense.

The most interesting axe we have that's not seasonal-locked is probably Legion's Axe, and that's limited because of GHB units.

Report

I didn't mention them because they're not really interesting, or new. We have Wo Dao+, Wo Gun+, and Harmonic Lance+, there's nothing that's really attention grabbing about them because it's on all 3 of the basic weapon triangle.

Swords have Safeguard and now Barrier Sword while lances have Berkut's Lance and Reprisal Lance. Axes have... Legion's Axe, I guess? Hell, even bows had Guard Bow and Clarisse's Bow, and now they're about to get an inheritable Shine Bow+.

Now that I think about it, axe units and dagger units are probably suffering the most in terms of lacking variety.

If his base kit suggests anything, this guy is going to be even tankier than Quan. I'm expecting him to get like 45 def when both stance and def wave activate. If he's slow, he's going to be cavalry Lukas.

Report

I like Silas and he is merge bait for me. Sadly he is extremely good fodder which will kill me inside.

Report

Sometimes we need units with old skills but at lower rarity.
I think it doesn't happen enough.

As for usefulness, there aren't really that many lance cavs with high def that aren't limited.
Quan is likely going to be 5* only
L!Ephraim is pretty damn limited
So likely Silas will be the most easily to get defence lance cav.
Probably around 35 def.

Report

Nah I can bet you any amount of money Quan gets demoted Lewyn is an obv 5* exclusive and none of the other new dancers we have gotten in the permanent pool ever got demoted

Report

Yeah, Silas definitely got short ended on this one real bad. At the very least, his likely demotion means we get great fodder in the 4 Star pool. Steady Stance is a nice budget option for Steady Breath, a Wave skill would finally be on a non-5 Star and we'd get another well overdue Reposition.
