About that FBonds is disgusting post

Well, though I can kinda see your reasoning, you're really blowing this out of proportions, big time. Face value levels of big time.

Once more, you're preaching about male fanservice in a JRPG. What did you expect? Most of these don't really cater to that, most games never do. Hell Fire Emblem never has, I don't see why anybody would expect different. If this series was known for it, I'd be angry as well, but it really isn't.

And the game makers aren't saying "Girls GTFO". Aversa is like this for a reason, as is Loki, whether you know the reason or not isn't the point. This isn't just pure fanservice, it's part fanservice part of the characters and how they are meant to be, antagonist or not.

Honestly just chill out and get over it. It's a frickin mobile game. You don't like something just ignore it. You don't see me arguing over my preferences here and saying that I wanna leave the game cuz of it. I just move on. And to re-iterate what I'd say if Male Fanservice were ingame and some dudes argued. I'd say the same, just get over it. I'm not taking sides on the gender debacle, I'm just pointing out how blown out this is considering what we're talking about.

Why didn't you put this in a reply in the original discussion? Aren't you the one now making a big deal out of things rather than keeping it tidy?

I posted it here to make it easier to have one for people to agree and one to disagree. Think of it as a hype and salt subreddit on reddit. Thus easier to argue/agree with either one.

I can kind of see the point, but it seems like a poor compromise to me. Isn't the point that we each explore the other's take on the matter, maybe come to a consensus, and if not, at least find what there is to respect about the opposite perspective and improve our own? Making two camps for each side to go "yeah we're right go us" while ignoring the other, especially right off the bat, seems to me mislead

I guess what I meant to say was more along the lines of. The main argument on both sides can have their views plainly put in a section that's easier to find. Thus it's easier to argue or agree with said person in that respective poll.

But yeah you're not wrong either.

Their characters ARE fanservice. it isn't part fanservice. i think people don't understand how characters are written. Camilla's thotness was her character, the backstory was an afterthought. Why? Because they wouldn't make her look like that in the first place. Same goes for Tharja, Loki, Aversa, etc

Blown out of proportion? Yes. But with that out of the way, there is no male counterpart. The complaint is we don't really get anything or what we get is a lot less. The last real fanservice I can remember is Summer Innes. And even the ones we do get are on
a 3:1 ratio. I don't think anyone actually found H!Dorcas attractive but I could be wrong.

I don't think most characters are made that way. You have literally no proof to validate that XD

Camilla's "Thotness" is just that, it's part of her big sis shtick. Loki is like this due to Chaos and whatnot. That's her character trait. Aversa is like this because of brainwashing and other such things. Tharja is the way she is cause she can sense the Grima in you and is attracted to the darkness, etc. They're not made to look like this in the first place. Fricking Tharja looked nothing like this in her art before the release of FE:A. You're generalizing and not looking into characters to decide whether it's just fanservice or for actual reasons.

And I'm sure someone found Dorcas attractive. There's always somebody.

Because you have to analyze why they were written like that. Their model tells you what you need to know. Though Fates has the 2 teams thing that did this confusing it up a bit

It's not really about preferences or fans service though, like this is straight up fan disservice.

Like... I really don't mind a bit of fanservice. This forging bonds event takes two otherwise compelling and interesting women and hey, they both have large breasts and so they're actually just obsessed with you and you alone and will do anything you want. It's pretty weird. Do you not think it's gone too far this time? I know FEH has always had fanservice but this just doesn't sit right with me and it's not about "oh there aren't any half naked men trying to get with me". My problem with it is that instead of learning more about two potentially interesting characters I'm... getting this.

And I mean you're probably not complaining because you are into women but even with that... same but it's done terribly this time around. I'm aware it's just a game but these characters are supposed to exist as people in the world created by IS. So when these female characters - and very specifically designed characters become nothing more than... well, I'm really not sure how best to word this seeing as I've gone over it and don't wish to sound redundant.

I'm not against fanservice but reading parts of this event is just plain uncomfortable and weird.
