About aether raids defense and buffs

So while setting up my defense map I came to this realization:

With panic being so widely available and easy to use, it seems that we are kind of doomed to not use visible buffs (tactics, hones, etc) for defense. As useful as they seem, anyone who has put a litlle bit of thought into preparing his offense teams will make it a hindrance for your team to carry them.

Unless you carry a staff ally with Restore, that is.

So with how important visible buffs are for some units and their ease of use, it seems like mandatory to use Restore in your defense team to not lose that firepower.

Am I missing something? Its a shame that this is the only skills ingame with that effect. Harsh command works similarly, but it only works for debuffs.

On a side note, which is the best infantry healer to run for this purpose, apart from Loki?

This is why i focus using wards/hones in defense often due to "in battle" buff and 2 space utility. Dont forget that some offense teams will try to buff themselves with visable buffs and that you can do the same with them using the panic ploy tower thing (completely forgot the tower name 😅) in defenses. Plus when you unlock more defense space for teams, thats more ward/hone stacking you will have to deal with so i dont think we are doomed being forced with visable buffs.

Now if you do get debuffed, i would say Lachesis would be good due to her decent atk boon when using restore

Harsh command works just fine on removing the reverse effect you get from the Panic effect. Why do you think it wouldn't? When you are under the effect of panic you are debuffed, harsh command removes it. It also buffs if you by the same amount as the debuff, but this is irrelevant for Panic since you will get the original buffs that panic reversed.

Restore also removes some other stuff, like mobility debuffs, which I find is invaluable for offense, but, for the purpose of using visible buffs on defense harsh command works just fine.

No It doesnt: harsh command transforms debuffs into buffs. Panic ploy converts positive buffs into negative buffs, so it wont even let you use harsh command. The game handles negative buffs (reverted ones) differently from debuffs. I know because I just tried it, and also watched this YouTube video of Sacred Spear about aversa which explains it so nicely.

Harsh command needs a buff, no wonder why no one uses It.

Everyone is going to bait you and buffs or not you should be making it a really difficult decision as to who they attack or pull. Which basically means you need to cover your troops like you do in chess
