Abel's substitute

I have a -Atk Abel, you think Berkut could make a good use of his brave lance? I don't have any deathblow fodder so I was thinking in Atk+3 for his slot A while I wait.

What you guys think?

Berkut is a bottom tier unit and while Abel is no prize, there are plenty of other blue lance (calvary) units. If anything, save your Abel or upgrade a four star one. All I can say is

Berkut is the strongest cavalier considering neutral stats. Oscar and Abel can be better with atk boon and may be able to quad more. However, Berkut is quite tanky and with quick riposte or desperation + brash assault seal, he can be quite versatile and capable of quadding. If you like Berkut, go for it. Almost all units can be made good regardless of tiers. Atk+3 is a good skill while you get deathblow.

Unless you really and I mean REALLY like Berkut, I would save that Brave Lance for literally any other blue unit

Honestly it could work on Berkut, he's got a good attack stat at 34 base. However, the build is basically outdone by other lance cavs such as Peri/Oscar/Roderick due to them being faster and having access to a +atk or +spd boon.

He’s not a bad candidate at all, 34 base attack is actually quite nice for a Brave weapon user, not to mention that he already has piss-poor speed, basically nullifying the downside of the Brave Lance. He also has a very decent defensive stat line, something that’s usually lacking from most Brave weapon users, allowing him to soak a few hits and making up slightly for his weaker enemy phase and lack of speed. With cavalry buffs he can become a very versatile unit with a Brave Lance in his hands, it’s just a shame he doesn’t get access to IVs which would strengthen him considerably.

There are many better candidates that can make better use of Brave Lance than Berkut, but he’s definitely not someone you should brush aside since his damage with a Brave Lance is quite immense against non-green units. If you like him as a unit, character, or simply his playstyle you won’t regret the investment at all, but if not, it might be wise to save the fodder for someone else.

Here’s a build I’m currently trying to build and I’ll post a picture of my current build below,

Weapon: Brave Lance+
Assist: Reposition / Swap / Flexible
Special: Bonfire / Galeforce
A-Skill: Fury / Death Blow
B-Skill: Desperation
C-Skill: Savage Blow / Threaten Defence / Threaten Attack
Sacred Seal: Brash Assault 3

With Fury, +2 merge and Cavalry buffs he can actually hit a stat line of 44/52/26/41/34, making him a powerful all-purpose tank and nuker due to the Desperation + Brash Assault combo.
