5 star upgrade

Should I 5 star Michalis or +atk/-hp Frederick?
As of now I don't have a Minerva or a Cherche with good IVs but I also don't have a cavalier axe unit

I would say michalis. He is incredibly strong as a flier. Fred is pretty bad in this game, there arent any real good cav axe units. For a cav team i recommend a cecilia with her gronraven and TA to handle both colorless and blues
