Since we had a bunch of 4/5 stars dropped to 3/4 stars, I thought of some 5 star exclusives that should be demoted. There weren't that many and there should be one of each color if they did this and tried to exclude those with highly coveted skills like Swift Sparrow or Panic Ploy. Also, like the other units that dropped in rarity, they must have been released before the FE4 banner. These are the only units that would make sense:
Red: Karel - None of his skills stand out and is outclassed by many other sword units.
Blue: Olwen - Her low attack stat
Green: Julia - Either her or Amelia, but I doubt Armor March would be available on a 4 star
Colorless: Mist - Originally Faye, but Mist has absolutely nothing and I completely forgot she was even in this game, she's so useless.
I don't think this will happen seeing as it's only a handful of units, it was just a thought that crossed my mind.
I can only add one other red unit that should get demoted.
Young Tiki
She is just slightly better than Adult Tiki and her stats are more well-rounded. She only comes with Armored Blow, Breath of Life, Growing Flame and Flametounge+ (A Silver Breath Weapon) as far as skills go.
You're forgetting about M*st. The only reason why she's STILL a 5* exclusive is because of her sort of plot relevance in PoR and RD.
Spur Def/Res is on M!Morgan at 4*.
Miracle is on a bunch of 4* healers.
Slow+ can be taken from Wrys.
Recover+ can be taken from Serra.

Julia and minerval are more likely to be demoted than amelia. Armor march is just that good.
Fireweep bow is the only one that hasnt been demoted. Granted its arguably better than the other ones. But it would make pulling for colorles a lot less painful.
Also jaffar, hes not even good for LnD fodder anymore since hes basically outclassed by sothe
You mention Eldigan and it would be cool for him to be more readily available but I feel Luke is another 5* red sword cav that really should be demoted.
Edit: Unless you messed up putting Lukas when you meant Luke, then my bad. But I feel like definitely Luke should be demoted.
I think another good option for 5* exclusive red to demoted would be Luke. And while his skills aren't bad they aren't premium skills like an Armor March as you mentioned. Fire Boost? We had LA!Eliwood with it as TT reward. Panic Ploy? We had Valter with it as GHB reward. Now I guess one of them would actually be available on him at 4*, while the two reward characters needed to be 5* for the highest version. But I don't feel like he's a particularly good enough unit to be locked to 5*. And demoting him could actually give him better merge potential, like Cain or Eliwood for a red sword cav.
