hey all, i'm putting together a flier team and have a 4* +5 cherche +atk -spd that i want to promote to 5* for her awesome axe - is it worth it or would i be better with a hammer or slaying axe ? (i'd need her to be able to break through the annoying current heavy armoured targets like fae and surtr)
my only other viable cherches are +atk -def and neutral but i have enough manuals to get her to +10 or close at 4*
Well, her axe is a brave axe with more might.
I think that works best for her, crushing the enemy with the brave effect.
Though the refine might not be worth it, so you might want to save the dew.
What you can do is merge 1 5* into the 4* version to get her axe for the 4*+10 Cherche
I've heared a lot of people doing it.
The way it works is that those skills are only locked to learn a for a unit themselfs, but if another version merges into them, they get all skills. Including the learned weapon.
Funny, I've been a day one player but never done it myself. Got a bias agaist using 4*+10 units, even if I know it's not a bad idea.

Seems to me like you need a slaying hammer and axebreaker to destoy a +Def Surtr with close def 3
edit1: assuming you use death blow 3
edit: with an instantly charged glimmer (quickened pulse, ostian pulse from Lector) and a mere +3 atk (hone, goad) you can one-shot the fire dude with his 65 def :D
