4*+10

Are 4*+10 units still viable? I have Cherche, Soren, Hana, Donnell, Cecilia and Laslow all at 4*+10. The only one I use on a daily basis is Cherche (still doesn't have Cherche's Axe since it's locked at 5*). Is it worth upgrading them to 5* or just keep them the way they are?

I encourage them for Arena Assault backup units. Make them completely budget with a Gem weapon and a Breaker skill

Go with a build that's utilitarian
That is to say, a unit like Ogma has a huge HP pool, so something like vengeance Wo Dao is great at nuking units of all colors
Play to their strengths, don't fodder premium units though, I do agree to keep it budget but effective

So, for Cherche and Soren, you can promote one to 5 star, then merge it into your 4* for the weapon
I feel they're very viable for units you don't see yourself investing in, for things like CC, AA and SA, though since the addition of CMs, the effectiveness and practicality have decreased, since it's no longer fodder, send home, merge or expand
I personally use marth, raven and Est quite a bit, since they're decent cheerleaders

That's what I did for my Cherche.
I find 4*+10 units to be very usefull, give them an armor Slaying weapon+TA+breaker skill and you can easily play through 750 points per match in AA

They are still viable, they score about the same as a 5*+5 unit which isn't to bad

I'm pretty sure 4*+10 still works. Their stats are similar to 5*+4 or 5*+5, and those work, so 4*+10 should work. If they're not doing it for you, you might need to tinker with their builds.

If I'm not mistaken (haven't tried this), there's a way to get Cherche's Axe at the cost of two copies of Cherche, one of which should have your desired IV, and 20k feathers (more if one or both copies are not 4*). You promote one copy to 5* (NOT the one with preferred IVs), learn Cherche's Axe, merge that copy into the 4*, and then merge your current 4*+10 into that 4*+1 for a new 4*+10.
