4*+10

I know that a 5*+10 has +4 points in every stat. Is it the same with 4*? It should be the same but I better double check.
Is it ok to make a 4*+10 Fae? It takes too long to make a 5*+10, I didn't even finish my first one and I don't know how many months I'm doing this already. If a 4+10 really is like a 5+5 than that's not so bad. Of course it's sad once you do this you can't go 5* but there are always other units...

If u want to its fine...but not really recomended as ur giving up a lot of renewal for a subpar fae.

If ur in tier 19.5 u should be getting around 10k feathers per week. Meaning ull be able to +2 a unit every month. If you then add special events thats at least another +1 per month. It comes down to around 3.5 months with si and everything

5*+10 gives +4, 4*+10 gives +2, when comparing to a 5*+0.

The feathers run a lot less for 4* units, but for a main arena core, your potential is capped at the rough equivalent of 5*+5 if the entirety was 4*+10, which may one day in the future not be enough to be T20.

If you plan to use units at their highest competitive level, 5*+10. If you want solid AA options, 4*+10 is perfectly fine. Units like Bartre, Est, Hana, and others who run armorslaying weapons are very good options since high level AA means you will probably face off with plenty of armor teams. Any unit can be viable for 4* merging, but the best units for your arena core or other competitive uses would be better at 5*+10.

Wait, if a 4+10 gives +2 how can it relate with a 5+5? Seeing Fae's stats as 4 and 5* the 5* has +3hp, +3atk, +3spd, +1def, +2res. . So if a 4+10 gives +2 in every stat than that barely covers a 5*+0.

For a base 5* unit, 4*+5 is the rough equivalent to 5*+0. Some stats have a 3 point increase from 4-5* though, so a 4*+6 in some cases gives the same BST level as a 5*+0. A 4*+10 is about a 5*+5, 5*+4 in some cases where the BST dropoff is 12 instead of 10.

Think of it this way, a 4☆+X is equal to a 5☆+1/2 of X as in for example a 4☆+8 is equal to a 5☆+4.

Yes it is really hard to work for all of those feathers but in the long run it pays off far more than not promoting would. Kinda like how a gaming pc costs more than a console up front but becomes cheaper in the long run than a console would cost you.

Report

This is not correct. Its more like 4*+x is 5*+(x-5).
And the analogy with gaming pc isnt really true either. It might be for some, but that comes down to individual usage and budget.

Stat wise, a 4*+10 is equivalent to 5*+5, although some stats may differ slightly on some units. For arena scoring, it's close but a little worse since the extra merges don't quite offset the penalties for lower BST and a 4* unit.

I'd agree with amoebasgonewild on merging Fae -- save the 4* supermerges for units in the 3-4* pool or in some cases 4-5* units with low skill inheritance priority. 4*+10 Fae is a perfectly fine unit that will work well in a wide range of content, but her 5* version is one of the most cost-effective units in the game for arena offense.

(Note: 4*+X is equivalent to 5*+(X-5), not 5*+(X/2). That math would put 4*+0 equal to 5*+0.)

Thanks for all your help. For now I will hold of Fae's destiny. Since now I have only 7 of her, when I get to 11 I will think about this more.

I recommend to 4+10 units that dont have that much value as fodder. Prime examples are Oboro and Cherche who have amazing statlines, but not that great base skillsets, so you dont lose much by merging.

On the other hand I would not merge units like Hinata, Bartre, Shanna andFae who have great skills for SI

Report

With L'Arachel now in the 4* rarity, fodder for Renewal is a little less linient to find currently. Considering how Fae is one of only 3 green dragons currently present in the game with great BST, I honestly don't see why you wouldn't promote her to 5* and merge her.

The game has plenty of opportunities for feathers and Fae is well worth the time. I'm not gonna do the math here, so yea.
