3 Star +10 Merge
Would a 3* +10 merge be about the same (stat wise) as a 5* unmerged? I’ve got loads of 3*s but I’m too lazy and don’t want to spend the feathers to make a 4* merge or to five star any of them.

For 22k feathers (you get that in 2 weeks without farming), you can have a 4* +10.
To answer your question : Yes.
To answer another question : It's bad. An unmerged 5* is bad for scoring. You might not even be able to get into T20 using 3*+10.
A 4*+10 is as good as a 5* +5, which is actually good. You can go somwhere with that.

Thanks for the numbers. I’m not huge on arena score, I mostly just score enough for prize and to stay around tier 16 or 17 to get rewards. I’m trying to prioritize feathers to build my fully merged 5* Eliwood (who will have a 60/37 offensive spread with fury), so I just wanted to think about how I might use them more efficiently in other areas.

I'm with Maxmence on this one. Unmerged 5* are near worthless in the first place if you want to stay in T20 or anything like that. Saving up 22k feathers over the course of two weeks isn't too difficult and would end up getting you a far superior unit with better chances at arena scores.
With that being said, it's still your choice. 3*+10 do have roughly (usually 1 BST higher) than an unmerged 5* but unmerged 5* aren't very good by any means.
