3 Reasons to Vote Tharja

1. She's an excellent unit.
2. Whether you like her or not (hintmememe), she's also excellent fodder.
3. She's arguably the most rare of the bunch:

- We've already gotten Ike on a very recent banner, and he's sure as hell to come back very soon.
- Hector is still kind of always there, and he's sure to come back at some point.

I would like Pa Azura because you can never have enough dancers
Shes great fodder but after her health drops below 50% for the VF bonus she lacks vialbility

But they aren't telling people that they have to vote for her. They just put 3 reasons TO vote for her. More like getting the word out on why she's a good unit to vote on.

At least they didn't put why you should vote for her, then starts to bash on other units, lol.

Yeah, Tharja is the only red armored mage in the entire game.

Hector can be pulled from the regular summoning pool.

Ike will be on the next 2 Legendary banners if they're following the pattern from Fjorm.

Azura... well she's a buffer/singer, but not that great in combat, in my opinion.

She is imo the best red armor and most useful overall too of the red armors. That said, whatever is fine since Inigo screwed me over for PA.Azura many times. Can use any of the 4 anyways.

I must disagree with the "best red armor" part. I run an armor emblem with both Tharja and BK, and imo, BK outperforms her 90% of the time. Tharja is really slow, gets doubled and killed by anything non-green with a decent attack stat, and while she does hit hard with her specials, most of the time she is doing nothing BK couldn't do better. I can only imagine how much better Zelgius is than her.
But, that's just my opinion. I prefer my mages to be speedy nukes in the first place anyways. If I pull a LA!Lyn, I think Tharja will end up on the bench.

You're supposed to make her as tanky as you can, meaning a mix of respective Emblem buffs, Spurs/Drives and Close Defense. Most of the people I see running her in the Arena use the latter, and it works well. Unlike BK/Zelgius, she's also a prominent mixed tank with 2-range and can counter melee (meaning she's also good against Dragons, the current "meta).

BK/Zelgius may be miles better, offensively...but that's about it. The mixed tank part is key, and she can probably solo teams with something like an Owl tome.

While mine does have ideal IVs (-Spd, +def) and I do run her with two fortify armors and one ward, she just clashes with my play style so much that she is almost painful to use. What I will say, is that she deals a ton of damage with Iceberg/Glacies, and is almost a guaranteed one round when one of them procs.

I have my votes planned for the final round. None of them are for Tharja. She's my least preferred of the four units. Two reasons:

1) The skills she has are low priority for me. If I want CC, I can always try to roll for Takumi.
2) I'm just...not a fan of the character.

Report

Im not a fan of Tharja but i dont dislike her either. As a armor user, shes ok but i have units like Arden (well built even), Zelgius, LA Lyn, Sheena, etc. who can do roles she cant like being a player phase unit. AIs made for player phase tend to do better if your not prepared to defend against them. W!Tharja with her default B can be baited, so i perfer AI controlling my units to be aggressive WITH aggressive skills like bold, quick reposte, heavy blade, etc. PLUS there is warding breath lol

I can agree on all these points: she's so damn resilient and can even deal with Reinhardt with the right team set-up, Vengeful Fighter turns armor units like Black Knight into freakishly dangerous enemies to face, and it was hard to get her in the Winter Banner given the massive pool of reds.

Vanguard Ike is coming back as well alongside his Brave version in about 9 days, meaning both types of Breath fodder to go after.

Hector is rare, but he is there in the green pool and his seasonal variant is still going to be around until March so plenty of chances for Distant Counter.
