2 Possible Skills: Shade and Provoke

Shade - This unit cannot be attacked if foe has other allies within attack range. (Originally, it's less chances of being attacked)

Provoke - Foe cannot attack other allies within attack range if this unit is also within attack range. (Originally, it's more chances of being attacked)

2 opposite skills that were shown in PoR/RD. It can be programmed similar to Obstruct. Probably a future B skill.

For example, a unit with Provoke is within enemy range and foe has other targets within range. If this happens, other allies without this skill will be removed from enemy's range. As for Shade, if a unit with this skill is within enemy range with other allies, the unit with Shade will be removed from enemy's attack range.

Who benefits from these skills?

As for Provoke:

Owl Tomes - Since owl tomes require unit to be along adjacent allies, all of these units will usually end up in enemy attack range, but if the owl tome user has Provoke, enemies can only attack that unit.

Bulky units, whether magically or physically.

As for Shade:

Dancers - usually dancers stay close to their allies, and sometimes end up vulnerable. With this skill, these units can be saved.

Mages and Archers - mostly glass cannons. They can save themselves from melee foes if there are other allies nearby.

Yeah, taunt skills are really useful in games like this. It should definitely be a B slot skill so you can't pair it with a distant/close counter Vantage, which would be insane, or put it on a super speedy L&D mage so they couldn't also save themselves using desperation as well.

Shade would be too imbalanced for arena purposes if it was allowed to the general public. If you think Reinhardt and B!Lyn are a problem now, imagine being unable to attack them! If they did allow such a skill to exist, I feel like it would have to be restricted to Healers and in B slot so you can't pair it with Wrathful/Dazzling Staff.

One problem, what if someone uses a team of 4 Archers with Firesweep bows and shade and stays in a formation where at least one team mate is next to them at all times. To me it seems Shade should be negated if the teammate it checks has shade as well if it were to be made.

I think the shade skill has too much cheese potential, but I like the idea of provoke, it's pretty much just a more effective version of obstruct, and would perform as I imagine obstruct should.

To balance it, it could be a 90-80-70% health based skill that forces all enemies in range to attack that unit, and it would definitely have to be a B-skill so it couldn't be used with QR or Vantage.

I don't think mages really need more tricks... But I think Shade would be useful as a dagger exclusive to help make that class of weapons more viable.
