100 compensation orbs incoming (EDIT: I'm actually just retarded, it's ok)
I was playing around with the new units now and after turning on the combat and support animations, I noticed a devastating bug: Mia's umbrella thing/wand (I guess) turns into the default staff design when she's healing an ally. When she's attacking an enemy or on the map itself, her sprite has her regular umbrella wand.
I demand a new Mia and 100 compensation orbs for everybody.
On a serious note tho. Is this an actual visual bug or does this happen to all healers? I tried it with brave Veronica as well, but she had her own staff in all situations and the same goes for Azama. Only Mia seems to throw out her wand thing and take out the default healer staff when healing an ally.

Damn...well, at least I learn something new everyday, because I never noticed this before, as I have perma-disabled all animations to save time.
As much as it makes sense, that they don't use the "attack" staff when healing, I can't help but feel that it's extremely clunky in terms of visuals.

Yea I noticed this a while ago that their healing animations show a different stave, some have similar ones, I think these are the basic starting staves you see when you first level up the healer, when they don't have anything unlocked yet. If you want to see what each healer's curing stave is, just unequip their refined stave, leave the weapon slot empty
Actually, Brave Veronica uses the crescent moon stave I've seen Elise and I think Serra use as well. The only healer that seems to have a unique healing stave is Nanna, strangely. It has a red orb stone at the end and is the depicted in her card art, I was disappointed that I could not see it anymore after refining whatever staff I inherited to her. Hopefully the healers will later all get prf stave refinements to the staves that they are using in their art

Yeah, it would be nice from a consistency standpoint, if they actually used their staff for everything. I sometimes wonder what the devs are doing when designing stuff. Having two staves for attacking and healing (based on the assist sklil) is like having two different toothbrushes depending on day and night....I guess you can do that, but just why?

I guess its to represent the healing "skill+" but I really did not put them together like that. I noticed some had different "unequipped" staves but I just thought it was randomized.
Lol i wouldn't doubt that some people are actually neurotic enough to use a different toothbrush for morning and night.. or even meals

Because they only do one thing, that's how it's always worked in Fire Emblem. It's like a spellbook. You can't use an Excalibur tome to set someone on fire, that's not the spell it does. You want to heal someone at long range, use a Physic staff. Want to teleport, use a Warp staff.

Ok that makes sense. Just checked when I unequipped Lachesis and Ethlyn both with Physic+ and they had the same staves while Priscilla and bride Lyn have Rehabilitate+ and the same staves but different from the first two. And it does actually say the healing+ skill when healing, I just didn't notice before if there was any correlation with the different stave they were using in the support animation
