I have a res refine on it. I just favor the atk because of the low might on Owl tomes. Besides, the Bond and Owl effect patches up his already good res to a better degree.
He's already tanking mages, attack is his weak point.

Yeah but.. It's 1 point vs 3.
There are still green mages he'll have to be careful of.

Hell, you could give him a def refine and let him accually survive an archer.

I do plan on a Serpent tome someday for archer checking. But I've never gotten F!Morgan so :/

While that'd be nice, Owl will do too.
The only thing is that you might need to switch out is the seal.

If you wait for the TT, there's a atk/def bond seal. With it you can boost his stats by 10/2/7/7 by just standing next to one ally. Enough to take on a archer while still countering mages and dealing damage.

This is my current build. I just need to finish the merges. I highly recommend this build. He can easily tank +10 buffed Nino, +10 Brave Lyn etc.
