+10 Firesweep Palla...

Thinking about this as my next merge project. Thoughts?

Go for it, although if I were to pick the choice of weapon, I'll go for Wo Dao+/Slaying Edge+, or maybe even Safeguard+

Feels strange to me because one of Palla's selling points to me is her ability to tank. Doubt it would be bad though.

Firesweep palla is garbage. I've used this build since november, and its never failed me, she does everything I need her to do, and then some. Her main role is to transport units from A to B, in situations that they would normally be stuck in or otherwise wouldn't be able to get to, however her statline makes her one of the flying units in the game due to being able to tank hits from both attacking types due to being able to get 34+ in bothdefensive stats as well as having 48 hp.

She's probably the most valuable member of my arena team due to her flexibility and use in any situation the game presents. Ally trapped and in danger of being killed? palla swoops in and repos them out of the way. Ally needs to travel over a water or mountain tile? Pallas there, ally needs a little bit of speed to double or avoid a double? Pallas there, enemy is a male grima? Pallas there.

Palla is THE best red flier in the game right now, her statline lets her use almost any build style you want, and use it well. She can take a hit from almost any source, barring bows, and come out just fine, elinica cant do that, ryoma can't do that, the only red flier thats just outright better than her is summer loli tiki, and shes a seasonal that has an UNWARRANTED boosted bst. There is literally no justifiable reason for tiki to have 168. That's just stupid.

Thanks for all the info! Your Palla looks like a great all around team player. I don't plan on using one of my DCs on her so I was thinking of a cool way I can use her since there aren't much red fliers to choose from without spending a billion orbs lol

If you run slaying edge with an atk boon and speed refine you hit 52/38 for atk and spd, which is plenty to keep her from being doubled by a good deal of units in the arena, while letting her maintain a quicker chance for specials, however I still consider armor smasher to be her best weapon since mage armors area thing now and she has the defenses to handle them.

I've played with a lot of weapons on palla, slaying edge, wo dao, kadomatsu, armor smasher, silver sword, I always come back to armor smasher, because shit like grima and hector exist.

Don't listen to Nilla, he has is own "elite" standards. A Firesweep Palla can work at +10. If you really want to do it, I say go for it.

I also said she can work really well with nearly any build you give her. Firesweep itself is garbage, put a firesweep weapon on anything and that unit suddenly loses its ability to perform at its best.

I'm pretty sure characters with terrible mixed defenses don't want to tank things. Like Lon'qu and Bridal Cordelia. Firesweep lets Glass Cannons not worry about being hit.

And i'm sure Palla doesn't have terrible mixed defenses.Palla doesn't want firesweep, things like Elincia and Ryoma do.

Not everybody builds their characters the same, if you want to turn a character into a glass cannon that works, go ahead; if you want to turn a character into a great mixed tank that works, go ahead. Other characters can run a set better, but if the same set works well on the unit you want it to work on, then that's all that should matter.

I don't really think that Nilla likes the idea of Firesweep anything, he justified his argument and wasn't biased.

I really do want to use her, I like investing in characters that most people don't use (my pride and joy is my +9 seliph). Thanks for the assurance!

Palla has really balanced stats. Which means she's the slowest sword flier in the game, but she stands out by actually having decent defences. And Firesweep is all about hitting hard and fast and not getting hit back.

I think it would still work, if that's what you want to do. It just doesn't seem like the "optimal" use of Palla or Firesweep.

Ever since I encountered a Firesweep flying Ryoma in arena I wanted to build one for myself. I didn't realize he had galeforce and he ended up killing a couple of my units. Now I know Palla won't be nearly as good with the same weapon but I wanted to try if I could make one similar on an orb budget. So maybe swift sparrow and def ploy and spd ploy to make up the difference in their stats. I will 5* one and test it out :)

As you already have a merged Seliph, don’t do it. Focus on other colors before coming to Palla

I second this, I have two 5+10 of each color except colorless, of which I have 1, Maria.Get at least a green and blue before moving on to palla, that way you're not doing something as a spur of the moment.
