Technically you have higher chance of getting Katarina thanks to her sharing color

No... You just have a much higher chance of getting a 5* when picking red. It doesn't matter if there's 3 red focus units or just 1, the chance stays the same.

That's a missconception, let's say you would have needed 100 orbs for a Katarina if she wasn't sharing color, if she shares a color you'll need less orbs for a Katarina and may pick a SM!Eirika along the way.
That's the calculation made by Akariss, someone who doesn't believe in luck and always makes all the mathmatics on every banner for the probabilities

I think you misunderstood him. He says it's the same number of orbs for a Katarina, and you pick up an SM Eirika along the way, or it's half the orbs if you don't care which focus red you get.

Look: 1 in 100 stones (all colours counted) is Katarina, 1 in 100 is SM Eirika. You don't get Katarina 2/100 stones just because there's an extra focus red; you get focus reds 2/100 stones but they're not both Katarina.

Honestly I might say try a little. Cause I feel if Micaiah came back as a focus sharing a spot with another blue at this point I'd try to hopefully get one Micaiah out of it. I'd really like some Micaiah merges especially now that I'm using her in Arena.

Assuming pity rate never increases (let's say you get pitybroken every 5th stone by random stuff you don't care about):
50% probability of finding Katarina: 107 orbs
60% probability of finding Katarina: 142 orbs
70% probability of finding Katarina: 187 orbs
