Boons
-
+ATK: Although not as generally useful as Speed, an Attack boon will be appreciated to help improve Silvia’s damage output.
-
+SPD: The best boon overall for Silvia. A Speed boon will help Silvia double enemies more easily while allowing her to also avoid being double-attacked herself.
Neutral
-
DEF: It is preferred to keep Silvia’s Defense neutral as it is a superbane and will lower her Base Stat Total and affect her Arena scoring. Doing so will also slightly hurt her matchups with melee units compared to an HP bane.
-
RES: Silvia has a very decent Resistance stat, and ideally it should be kept neutral so as to not tamper with her magical bulk.
Banes
- -HP: Luckily for Silvia, HP is not a superbane and will negatively affect Silvia the least. As refining her weapon will also help make up for some of the lost HP, Silvia can take HP relatively safely as a bane.

An offensive build that also aims to provide team support.
Silvia will want to take a Speed boon as she will be able to hit very respectable amounts of Speed when combined with other Speed increasing skills.
In terms of damage output, the Wo Dao is the best choice of Weapon for Silvia, as it helps make up for her low Attack thanks to its effect of added damage on Special activation. The Speed refine should be taken to maximize her ability to double enemies. If Wo Dao isn’t available, Slaying Edge is also a decent choice that pairs well with Luna. Silvia’s default Barrier Blade can be taken too, but it will not allow her to have the same amount of damage output as the other two weapons.
Dance should always be kept as the Assist skill as Silvia’s whole niche is providing teammates with an additional turn.
Moonbow will pair particularly well with Wo Dao to allow Silvia to deal respectable amounts of damage on her Special proc. Luna can be taken instead for even more damage at the cost of having a slightly higher cooldown. Moonbow is generally preferred due to its shorter cooldown, but if Silvia is running a Slaying Edge, then Luna will be the preferred choice.
Fury is an excellent general A skill, allowing Silvia to deal more damage, improve her chances of doubling units and avoiding doubles herself, and improve her tanking abilities. Triangle Adept is a decent choice as well if one rather utilize Silvia as a dedicated green unit counter, but this comes at the cost of her combat abilities against other types of units.
Wings of Mercy is an excellent skill for any dancer as it allows them to teleport and Dance any unit below 50% HP. Silvia’s Deluge Dance is a decent choice as well. Firestorm Dance is a great choice as it boosts Attack and Speed, and may be considered if one is willing to put a bit more investment into Silvia.
Drive skills in general are great for support dancers, and just about any of them will be appreciated. Drive Atk will help Silvia’s team’s damage output, while Drive Spd is a bit more available of a skill and will help teammates achieve double attacks more easily. Just about any support skill that boosts teammate’s stats will be a good choice for Silvia.
For the seal slot, Speed +3 can be taken to improve Silvia’s overall combat potential. If one rather focus on support, another Drive skill can be taken instead. Earth Dance is also a good choice, allowing Silvia to buff 3 different stats if she is running Deluge or Firestorm Dance in the B slot.

An Enemy Phase build utilizing Silvia’s default Barrier Blade that requires minimal investment but can be improved heavily upon if one is willing to give Silvia rare skills.
The choice of IVs largely remains the same, although a Resistance boon can be particularly decent if one decides to run a Resistance stat based Special such as Iceberg or Glacies.
Barrier Blade will help Silvia reach high amounts of Resistance during combat, making her particularly capable of tanking some mages and dealing with dragon units. While a Speed refine is still a great choice, a Resistance refine for Barrier Blade can be decent as well to help maximize Silvia’s tanking abilities.
Moonbow can still be taken as the Special, but Iceberg is a good option to take advantage of the high Resistance stat Silvia will be hitting with this build. Glacies should only be taken if Warding Breath is being run due to its high cooldown.
Mirror Stance is a decent skill that will improve Silvia’s damage on Enemy Phase while also helping her magical bulk. Warding Breath is listed as Silvia will actually be able to deal very high amounts of Special damage when paired with Barrier Blade and Glacies. However, Warding Breath is a very expensive option and is by no means an absolute necessity. Triangle Adept is still a good option to make Silvia a dedicated green unit counter.
Wings of Mercy is still great and be kept, but Wrath is a great option if one is willing to both forgo Wings of Mercy’s utility and give Silvia a much-coveted skill. If either skill is not available, Silvia’s Deluge Dance is still a decent choice.
As this is a more Enemy Phase oriented build, Quick Riposte can be taken as the seal to guarantee Silvia will double on the counterattack. This will work particularly well if Silvia is running Warding Breath as she will be able to activate Glacies every time she is attacked by a melee or dragon unit. Alternatively, Close Def can be taken to even further improve Silvia’s tanking abilities against dragons while also helping her survive some attacks from melee units.
Introduction
Silvia from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War makes her appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes an infantry sword dancer. By nature of being a dancer, Silvia is a good support unit that will allow her teammates to take another turn in combat.
Compared to her direction competition, Silvia has slightly higher Speed than both Lene and Olivia. Silvia has lower Defense than both of them, but this is somewhat made up for with her higher HP. All 3 of their Attack stats are nearly identical, but what makes Silvia stand out is her great Resistance in combination with her default Barrier Blade, a weapon that increases this already great Resistance even further.
Overall, like Olivia and Lene, Silvia is a decent support unit that will be able to fit into most teams quite well. One should keep in mind that Silvia does take up the much-coveted slot of a sword unit and that her own personal combat abilities won’t be able to live up to the combat potential of the higher tier sword units. For this reason, one should consider if they are willing to have Silvia be the dedicated red unit on their team or if she will be supporting another more powerful one instead.
Strengths
Dancer
The biggest pro to Silvia is the fact that she is a dancer, making her by definition great at providing support to teammates.
Good Speed
36 Speed is good for Silvia and is quite decent among sword units. This good Speed will allow Silvia to avoid double attacks from the good majority of units that aren’t extremely fast.
Good Magical Bulk
Silvia will be able to tank a good amount of mages and dragons given her decent magical bulk and good Speed.
Weaknesses
Low Physical Bulk
Although Silvia has a respectable HP stat, her Defense stat is quite low at 17, which can be decreased even further with a superbane.
Low Attack
With her low Attack stat, Silvia will have a difficult time dealing major damage herself, and should be focused more on providing team support via Dancing and support skills.
Team Options
Counters
As Silvia is mostly meant to be a support unit rather than being purely offensive, she has quite a few weaknesses that one should take care are not exploited.
-
Lance Units: Silvia will fall quickly to enemy lance units thanks to her poor Defensive bulk on top of these enemy units having a weapon triangle advantage. Common lance units such as Brave Hector, Fallen Hardin, Effie, and Nephenee will obliterate Silvia.
-
Fast Swords: Very fast sword units such as Ayra and Mia will usually be able to double Silvia, almost guaranteeing she is knocked out in combat. Silvia should avoid engaging with these enemies if possible.
-
Blue Mages: These units will have an advantage over Silvia and generally be able to cut through her magical bulk. Reinhardt, Ishtar, and Micaiah are some common threats that should be avoided.
-
Bold Fighter/Brave Units: Units that have weapons or skills that allow them to attack twice will almost certainly knockout Silvia given her low physical bulk. Some examples are Brave Celica, Alm, Zelgius, Black Knight, Reinhardt (WT), Bridal Cordelia, Roy (LA), and Jamke.

-Weapon: gives her +7 Res and +4 extra if you choose the Res upgrade
-Mirror Stance: Gives her a bit of Atk if necessary and also gives her +4 Res
-Dull Ranged: Dull ranged disables the bonuses from ranged units so that includes Tome users and Priests. its quite handy to not worry about the enemie buffing and possibly overpowering your Res stat
-Atk Ploy: Gives the possibility to weaken your enemies a bit and with this high Res built will a Ploy skill work perfectly
-Distant Def: Gives +6 against Ranged so that is including priests and tome users
-I calculated this without a Res boon and the result is a Res of 51
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: she may be bulky against magical DMG but possible vulnerable against non magical DMG

Don't you hate it when you finally get the 5* unit you want, and it turns out to have the worst IV's you can get for it? Well this is what happened when I got Silvia. I was excited when I first got her, but then I checked her IV's, and I just thought about sending her home for the feathers, But instead of sending her home I decided to capitalize on her high Res and make a build centered around it. This Build is mainly used in Enemy Phase to bait out or to kill mages.
Firstly for her weapon Barrier Blade+ I refined it with the RES bonus to bring up her Res to a total of 37, and with the +7 she gains when attacked it adds up to 44. For her special I choose Iceberg, because when attacked Iceberg will activate thanks to Quick Riposte.
For her Passives, I gave her Distant Counter, Quick Riposte, and Def Ploy. Distant Counter allows her to retaliate to any mages that tries to attack her, and Quick Riposte to help her finish off the attacker. If she wasn't able to finish off an enemy unit due to her low attack, during your phase Def Ploy is activated and she should be able to finish them off.
Lastly for her Seal I gave her Distant Def 3. When attacked not only does she gain +7 Res from her weapon, but she also gains +6 thanks to the seal. So in total when attacked she should reach a whopping 50 Res. Even when faced off against blue mages she should be able to tank most of it.
Keep in mind that this build is not factoring in Summoner and Ally Support, and merging. If somehow you were able to obtain a 5* Level 40 +10 Silvia, not only will her magic resistance improve, but her attacking power will show a drastic change.

Counter Distant has a very good synergy with Distant Def and Blade Barrier , Silvia can reach 47 resistance during the enemy phase and became a very good magic tank. Initiative is use to activate Ether if she's low life.
PS: You can change the C at your leisure and put what you like the best.

Buffed stats are with summoner support. I was just messing around with different builds before they had any on here and found that this one works surprisingly well. You can use glacies instead of iceberg, but I find iceberg better for quicker specials. Atk ploy with her amazing res so she can live longer and further support her team. I kept deluge dance, again for further team support. And flashing blade because she’s a speed demon and heavily relies on her specials to get consistent damage through. DC with the barrier blade just for lols. I suggest you give this build a try, I have a lot of fun with it.

One interesting option for Silvia is to try to cover her low def using Safeguard. If you want, she can even opt for +def, at the cost of some ploying power.
The choices of ploys are flexible, but spd ploy is recommended because 39 is not quite enough to block doubles from some of the fastest units, whereas 44 is difficult even for very fast characters to double.
