Saias's standard team supporter set is the best choice for making use of Saias's unique strengths. It also happens to be cheap to build, making it a great general choice for fans of the unit or free players wanting to take advantage of his support abilities. This set sees him equip four Ploy skills to assail the enemy team with debuffs.
First and foremost, the Wargod's Tome combined with Spd Ploy and the Def Ploy seal give Saias all four stat Ploy skills. Def Ploy can be replaced with Attack +3 for a more combat-oriented version if desired. Fury is a godsend for Saias, granting him an all-around stat boost that most importantly boosts his Attack and Resistance. With Fury, Saias, will have a massive 37 Resistance to activate his Ploys from.
Saias has 33 Speed with Fury, which is still not enough to double most swords he will encounter. Swordbreaker helps him achieve this end, and lets him reliably beat all swords in the game with his Ploy debuffs on them, save for a few specifics such as Fir. Iceberg hits like a truck and is reasonably easy to charge, especially if Saias fights a sword-user with Distant Counter. As for his Assist skill, he can make great use of Draw Back as well as Dual Rally skills. Rally Def/Res is best if Saias is to be paired with tanky allies, and Rally Atk/Spd for offensively-inclined partners.

Those looking to make the most out of Saias's stats will want to run a combative Blade set. It should be noted that many units, including some easily obtainable ones can run a Blarblade set better than Saias: This is for those who want to push the unit to his limit.
With only 30 Attack and 33 Speed, Saias will need some improvements to his offenses. Fury is the best choice since it improves Saias's Resistance, letting him run Ploy skills if he chooses. Life and Death is better if Ploy skills aren't important. Saias can be used either as a fast Blade tome user, or a OHKO variant. Death Blow and Attack +3 should be taken if Saias is attempting to run a OHKO set.
Chill Res gives Saias an extraordinary boost to his offenses and grants him some team support potential. Lancebreaker is his best budget choice, helping to defeat fast lances such as Nephenee and Azura. Lancebreaker is a significant power downgrade from Chill Res. with Iceberg, Saias hits extremely hard and is a great choice considering Blarblade's special charge penalty.
Spd Ploy gives Saias a way to support his team and also makes it easier for him to double opponents. A Dual Hone or Dual Spur skill is better if Saias opts for Life and Death. Choice of Sacred Seal comes down to whether a build emphasising Speed, Attack or team support is desired. Res Ploy is a decent choice if Chill Res is not available, and Saias is running Fury.
Saias is a hero from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and appears in Fire Emblem Heroes as a blue tome-wielding mage. Like his father, Saias bears a weapon capable of causing severe debuffs to enemies in all directions. Although he has decent Attack and Speed, he is best used in a support role for frontline units thanks to his debuffs.
As is typical of most mages, Saias excels in Attack and Resistance but trades HP and Defense. Physically, he is frail and has much to fear from units bearing Distant Counter. While he can take the offensive with a Blade set, he falls down when compared to stronger mages with higher Attack and Speed.
What Saias has over other mages however, is being freely available and extremely cheap to build. Saias is a great addition to a free player's barracks, being able to provide solid support at a low cost.
Excellent team support abilities.
Saias wields the Wargod's Tome, a unique weapon that grants him the effects of Atk Ploy 2 and Res Ploy 2. This means he is one of only a handful of units who can use the four main Ploy skills at once. This is the primary strength of Saias, as he can be a great benefit to allies just by standing on the field. The debuffs he applies to foes are significant enough to swing many battles in the player's favor.
Solid Attack and Resistance.
33 Attack and 34 Resistance give Saias the stats he needs to do his job. With Fury, he reaches a decent 50 Attack, enough to defeat common red enemies, especially considering they are likely to be debuffed. Base 34 Resistance is especially noteworthy, as he relies on it heavily in order to activate his Ploy effects.
Easy to get and cheap to build.
Available as a Grand Hero Battle, Saias is available to free players and can be upgraded to five stars for just 20,000 feathers. The skills he requires for his team support set are all available on units at four stars. This makes Saias an excellent choice of unit to invest into.
Physically Frail.
Saias's main statistical disadvantage is having low Defense and HP. This makes him very easy to defeat with physical damage such as from Bows, Daggers or units with Distant Counter.
Bad Speed tier.
Saias sits at 30 Speed, one of the worst Speed tiers for a mage. This is because he is too slow to defeat faster blue mages who can double and kill him. Many of the mages slower than him run B tomebreaker to guarantee beating faster ones, meaning they will also double and KO Saias. Because Saias does not run a Blade tome, He cannot reliably OHKO most sword-users and must run Swordbreaker instead.
Limited merge potential, and cannot get boon/bane sets.
The biggest limiter on his potential is his status as a Grand Hero Battle unit. Saias has access to limited merges. He also can't get boon/bane sets to optimize his stats, giving him a disadvantage compared to units who can.
Relative to most other mages, Saias has under-average combat potential. His low Speed does not lend him well to dueling mages, and frail defenses means he fears nearly all sources of physical damage. Saias is handily beaten by all Green and most Blue units who commonly wield Distant Counter.
Blue mages: Most of them can double him with high Speed or beat him with B Tomebreaker. Many have enough Resistance to avoid getting hit by his Ploy skills. Lute, Linde, Mae, L'Arachel and Reinhardt all counter Saias. Micaiah deserves special mention, as not only does she beat Saias, she can use Sacrifice to turn his debuffs into buffs on one ally.
Distant Counter tanks: Green units are very commonly seen with Distant Counter as a way to handle blue mages such as Saias. Their high Attack stat and type advantage are enough to KO Saias with ease. Hector, Fallen Robin(M), Myrrh, Winter Chrom and Dorcas are examples of such units.
Berkut's Lance wielders: Berkut's Lance is a weapon that makes a unit much tougher against mages. It is commonly run with Distant Counter and seen on units such as Florina, Effie and Clair.
Anti-mage units: Units with extremely high Resistance are commonly build to specially counter mages. Felicia, Faye and Niles all have extraordinarily high Resistance and the right skills to take down Saias with ease.

Saias is in some ways like Micaiah, except lacking in merge potential, ivs, and a incredible weapon like Thani, none the less he can preform amazingly with a dancer.
Fury is great on him, it bumps his spd base to 33, which is ok, his atk hits 50 with weapon and his res hits a titanic 37.
Desperation combos well with brash assault seal and fury as the A skill, as it allows him to bypass his disappointing spd tier and hit for massive damage.
Iceberg is his special here, though something like glacies can work to nuke the enemy if needed to.

Saias has a stat spread (and weapon) very close to Arvis. With the exception of some res and spd, they are very identical. Saias has a base speed of 30, which is below average, and can't be used very well on player phase, without a large amount of dedication to him. He has a res stat of 34, which is good for tanking mages. Combined with distant def 6 on enemy phase, he gets to 46 res, which is capable of tanking many mages (provided they don't have TA and are green). Quick Riposte is a staple in this build, providing a slow Saias with a necessary follow up attack. Due to his low speed, he will get doubled, and will be able to proc iceberg on his final attack. This is helpful in getting that final push to kill, since Saias only has 33 attack base. If this is not desired, Glacies can be used instead. Attack Smoke is optional, but if Saias has to tank more than 1 magic user, it helps to lower the attack of nearby units that would attack him next. This essentially gets him to 53 res, (34 + Distant Def 6 + -7 Atk on Foe) which is exceptionally high.

This debuff build focuses on using ploy skills to lower enemy Atk, Spd, Def, and Res, making good use of Saias's 37 resistance after Fury.
Moonbow will trigger in two rounds of combat, which is important as Saias will not double enemies. This makes it a better choice than the higher-charge Iceberg and Glacies, despite Saias's high resistance.
Fury ties together this entire build by boosting Saias's resistance for ploys and speed for Watersweep.
Watersweep makes use of Saias's 33 speed to prevent some enemy counterattacks, since it is not enough to double most units in arena but is high enough to trigger Watersweep. This can be replaced with B Tomebreaker if his team lacks a Reinhardt counter.
Def Ploy 3 is the best seal for further debuffs, allowing your physical units to clean up the remaining enemies. Speed +3 is also acceptable when used alongside Watersweep.

Self explanatory build and he's summoner supported S rank and fury 3 for maximum stat increase.Since he's prettymuch a blue arvis you'll want to maximize his resistance to make him a master ploy user in order to debuffs units stats for your team to have a better advantage against them.Iceberg is chosen special because of lower cool down time and practicality when in combat, his assist is meant to help other allies and give them a little bit of an edge in combat to possibly ko an opponent. He keeps his default b skill in order to teleport around the map when helping out allies in battle and possibly finish off an opponent if he survives combat and help out his allies if he happens to be far away, you run a mixed team and so on.Even just fighting a few times will allow him to get into escape routes hp thresh hold. Not the most practical of builds in my opinion, but this is how I intend to build my Saias and he will serve you well even out of the box.If you want to throw utility out of the window and swap out his tome for lets say shine+ he'll have a higher resistance stat of 42 to be a blue wall against other blue and red mages but will easily die to green mages(obviously).
His stats work out to 41 hp 52 attack 35 speed 23 def and 39 res respectably with my build and his default tome
This is my first submission when it comes to this and l hope you enjoy my build for Saias ^-^. Swan~Princess

Saias's Speed might not look fantastic. But with Ploys and skills alone, Saias can reach an effective 41 speed. He functions very well in taking down reds and supporting his teammates with his Ploy skills. If one chooses him to be a support unit, then switch out the seal for Def Ploy 3. At this rate he will be the ultimate Ploy boy, able to debuff all four stats, better than Arvis due to a better kit.
