+Spd allows Rebecca to both make and avoid more follow-up attacks. When initiating combat, she'll have 43 speed; enough to double +Spd Eirika and Ryoma. +Spd will also let her avoid follow-ups from +Spd Nino and +Spd Lucina. +Atk will improve Rebecca's damage against slower units, as she'll still be packing 40 speed when initiating combat.

Introduction

Pros:

  • Ranged colorless damage
  • Good against flying units
  • Fantastic speed when initiating combat

Cons:

  • Mediocre attack
  • No special skill
  • Low HP and defense

Rebecca is a colorless ranged bow-user with high speed and a support-oriented skillset. Darting Blow allows Rebecca to hit 40 speed when initiating combat with a neutral speed value, allowing her to consistently make follow-up attacks. Her support and passive skills make her a useful teammate, as she can give her health to weakened allies or lower the attack of enemies after combat. This makes her a useful teammate, though Takumi is the superior choice for a damage dealer as Rebecca has mediocre attack and no special skill.

Strengths/Weaknesses

Though Rebecca's defensive stats aren't the greatest, her high speed will allow her to avoid many follow-up attacks. This gives her good survivability with which she can maximise the value from her support abilities. Ardent Sacrifice allows Rebecca to take on the role of a healer, though leaves her more vulnerable to ranged attacks. Seal Attack can improve duel outcomes for melee teammates. Rebecca does reasonably well on her own in combat as well: her attack is lower than other archers, but Darting Blow allows her to make follow-up attacks against Takumi, Corrin (F) and Sharena with a neutral spread. Although her decent resistance allows her to fight mages competently, Rebecca is best used to chip away at and debuff melee units, as taking too much counterattack damage will leave her unable to use Ardent Sacrifice.

Unfortunately for Rebecca, she is fighting for a space on a team against one of the game's most prominent heroes: Takumi. She has the advantage in speed, but he boasts higher attack, stronger passive skills and a special skill. Other ranged units want her teamslot as well: Rebecca suffers from having very little KO potential, meaning mages like Linde or Nino may be stronger options on some teams. Rebecca's low HP and defense also means that she'll take a lot of damage from ranged counterattacks.

Team Options

Eirika is a great choice for players looking to improve Rebecca's offenses. With her buffs, a +Spd Rebecca will have an impressive 47 speed when initiating combat; alongside an attack of 45. Other units that can improve Rebecca's attack include Nino and Corrin (F). Otherwise, Rebecca should be used as more of a ranged support alongside units with high defense, such as Ephraim, Chrom, Effie or Hector.

Counters

Rebecca's speed is greatly lowered when she is not initiating combat, meaning that this is when she is at her most vulnerable. Any unit that can prevent Rebecca from making follow-up attacks will fare well against her: +Spd Linde will make a follow-up attack if she initiates combat against Rebecca, as will +Spd Nino and +Spd Lucina if Rebecca is not +Spd. High defense heroes like Hector also have nothing to fear from Rebecca.
