Boons
-
+ATK: Given that healing Assists are now affected by the Attack stat, having an Attack boon will greatly benefit Mist. Given Attack is a superboon for Mist, she will be boosted up to a respectable 31 Attack, giving her decent damage and good healing potential.
-
+SPD: At 28 Speed, Mist is relatively slow. That being said however, she would still appreciate a Speed Boon to order to provide her with additional security from follow-up attacks.
-
+RES: Mist has one of the highest Resistance stats in the game at 34. This is plenty in order to run Ploy skills if desired. Resistance boon Mist is a good choice if you want her to run Ploy skills with great efficacy.
Neutral
-
HP: Mist has a fairly good HP pool for a healer at 39 HP. That being said however, she doesn’t benefit much from having high HP apart from giving her great magical bulk. A HP bane is an acceptable choice for Mist, even with HP being a superboon.
Banes
- -DEF: At 20 Defense, Mist has low physical bulk. She is very susceptible to physical attacks and as such, dropping her Defense as the bane won’t hinder her greatly.

A more offensive build, this set makes use of the powerful Wrathful Dazzling combo, allowing Mist to deal great amounts of damage without fear of retaliation.
Mist will ideally want either an Attack or Speed boon. Attack helps Mist to deal more damage as well as providing additional healing whereas Speed will give Mist a decent boost to her doubling potential. Gravity is a solid utility staff which will reduce the movement of any affected enemy, severely hindering their mobility. Pain is another solid staff choice which deals non-lethal damage to the target and any surrounding enemies. Sticking with Recover as the Assist will give Mist a good amount of healing power, especially if combined with stacked Attack. Heavenly Light is a nice Special that allows Mist to provide some healing to each teammate at once. Miracle can also help keep her alive by allowing her to survive a lethal attack.
The prime combination here is the B slot combined with her weapon forge. Wrathful Staff combined with Dazzling Staff allows Mist to attack at full damage potential without needing to worry about counterattack. Whichever way you use Wrathful and Dazzling Staff does not matter. Atk/Spd Bond, while an expensive option, provides Mist with a reliable boost to her offensive stats whenever adjacent to an ally. However, running with a simple Attack or Speed boost in the A slot is fine as well.
Having Savage Blow in both the C slot and Sacred Seal slot will allow Mist to deal 14 non-lethal damage to enemies within two spaces of who she attacked. When combined with the Pain staff, this can potentially be boosted to 10 HP to the target and 24 HP to enemies adjacent to the target. Do be wary of the Wings of Mercy skill as damage from Savage Blow cannot KO. As for alternatives, Mist’s default Spur Def/Res is a nice support skill while an Attack or Speed Seal will help Mist’s offensive potential.

A full support-oriented set, this Mist aims to provide plenty of healing to her allies when they need it the most.
As a pure support set, the IVs of Mist won’t majorly affect her overall. That being said, an Attack boon is still great for her in order to increase her healing potential. Having a high Might staff will also help Mist with healing. Slow is her default staff and makes for a safe choice that debuffs the opponent’s Speed. The Dazzling forge will allow Mist to safely attack and provide the special effect of whichever staff she has. Rehabilitate is an amazing all-purpose Assist for healers, with it providing more healing the lower the target is below half health. Her default Recover also works nicely with heavily boosted Attack. Heavenly Light is a strong Special which heals all other teammates whenever triggered. Imbue is another option which heals the target for additional HP when triggered. Miracle also allows Mist to survive one lethal attack, potentially saving her from being KO’d if she isn’t attacked after Miracle activates.
An Attack boost in the A slot will give Mist a relatively small but good boost to Attack which helps her with her healing potential. While something such as Defiant Atk would provide more healing, the awkward requirement of being below half HP is not worth the slight buff to her healing capabilities. Wings of Mercy allows Mist to move adjacent to any Ally below half HP, allowing her to be there to heal whenever she is needed. Her default Spur Def/Res works nicely as a C skill, allowing her to boost the defenses of any ally adjacent to her. Mist’s high Resistance also means she can make good use of Ploy skills such as Atk Ploy, allowing her to provide support from a distance by debuffing the enemies.
For her Sacred Seal, a simple Attack Seal will work well to boost Mist’s healing potential. A Ploy Seal would allow Mist to debuff from a distance without using her C slot, though one could run double Ploys for extra debuffing.
Introduction
Mist is the sister of Ike and fights in Heroes as an infantry healer. When compared to other healers, Mist is seen as one of the weakest healers available thanks to her overall poor stat distribution. While she can certainly heal well, other healers such as Elise offers greater utility and performance overall.
Mist’s biggest weakness is her statline. Of all her stats, the only ones which stand out are her HP and Resistance. At 39 HP and 34 Resistance, Mist possesses very good magical bulk, but even this doesn’t help her greatly as she is very susceptible to double attacks due to her Speed stat of 28. High damage mages will still be able to get through her magical bulk because of this. She also has a poor Defense stat of 20, severely hindering her physical bulk. Finally, her Attack stat of 27 is not great but acceptable for a healer and it can be boosted quite substantially, especially given that Mist has a superboon in Attack.
Overall, there is little reason besides personal enjoyment to use Mist over other healers. She can perform as a pure healer as fine as pretty much anyone else, but she offers little additional utility. She lacks the offensive prowess of Elise, the mobility of any cavalry healer, or the defensive prowess of Azama. In reality, Mist’s only real selling point is her ability to use Ploy skills very effectively, but others healers can also use Ploy skills effectively alongside other benefits. If all one wants is for a healer to heal targets and nothing else, Mist is serviceable. If one wants any other utility from their healer, almost any other healer will offer greater benefits than Mist.
Strengths
Amazing Resistance
At 34 Resistance, Mist possesses the third highest Resistance value in the entirety of heroes, tying with units such as Genny, Sanaki and Lute. This gives her very good magical bulk and also makes her a great candidate for Ploy skills.
Good HP
At 39 HP, Mist has good HP for a healer. This combined with her high Resistance gives her overall good magical bulk and somewhat makes up for her poor Defense when fighting enemies who cannot double attack her.
Weaknesses
Poor Defense
With a Defense stat of 20, Mist is very physically frail. When combined with her tendency to be doubled attacked, Mist is incredibly susceptible to attacks from common physical threats as well as dragon units who will prey on her Defense with their refined breaths.
Poor Speed
Mist’s bulk is severely hindered by her Speed stat of 28. This means that anyone with above 33 Speed can naturally double her. This makes her extremely weak not only against physical threats but also against certain strong magical opponents such as Delthea who can deal enough damage to ORKO Mist through her high Resistance.
Below Average Attack
27 Attack isn’t downright terrible, but it is on the lower end for healers. Given that healing Assists are now boosted by the Attack stat, this hinders her both in a offensive and support set. Despite this, she can still perform fine in a full support role and can also benefit from an Attack superboon.
Team Options
Counters
Mist’s low Speed and Defense makes her an easy target for many physical threats. Even with her high Resistance, fast magical threats also pose a great threat to her as well.
-
Brave Physical Attackers: Thanks to her decent HP pool, Mist can occasionally survive a physical encounter if she can avoid a double attack. If she is doubled, however, avoiding defeat is near impossible. Anyone with guaranteed doubles such as Alm, Ephraim, and Elincia will easily defeat Mist. Units who excel with a Brave weapon such as Chrom, Halloween Jakob, and Cherche will also easily take down Mist. A Bold Fighter armor will also KO Mist with no trouble at all.
-
Fast Physical Attackers: In general, pretty much any physical attacker capable of doubling Mist can take her down with little to no effort. Ayra, Black Knight, Tana, Cordelia, Raven, Minerva, Brave Lyn and Bridal Cordelia are just a small handful of physical fighters who have no problem with dealing with Mist.
- Fast Offensive Mages: Even with her amazing Resistance, mages can still make a serious dent in Mist, if not outright KO her. This is due to her low speed allowing many mages to easily obtain a double attack against her. Fast mages won’t always be able to ORKO Mist, but they’ll usually be capable of dealing very good damage at least. Mages such as Celica, SM Eirika, Linde, Delthea, Nino, and Summer Elise can all double Mist and deal high damage in return.

This build is essentially meant to turn Mist into a healing monster. You'll want the staff of wraths upgrade on Absorb+. Recover+ will allow Mist to power heal any unit low on hp or spark off a kill/hit and recover 7 hp to all allies in 2 squares. Pair her with a good tank unit and that tank can become the bane of existence to AI and players alike. Steady Stance 3 will give her a needed def boost from physical attackers, but that doesn't guarantee survival. Wings of Mercy will let her reach any ally with low hp and give them a boost in def and res, just in case of another attack incoming

While not a powerhouse, she serves really well when it comes to keeping allies alive. She has pain to help whittle down the beefier enemies. Add in the Spur Def 1 seal and nearby allies get +5/+3 def and res in combat.
