Boons
- +SPD: Linde’s ideal boon, as it builds upon her fantastic base Speed and allows her to maximize her damage output by further securing her ability to perform follow-up attacks.
- +ATK: Although it is less desirable than a Speed boon, an Attack boon can also be used and provides a solid boost to her overall raw damage output.
Neutral
- HP / DEF: At an incredibly low neutral physical bulk of 49, Linde wants to keep as much of her physical bulk intact as possible to lessen her chances of being KO'd in retaliation. However, a bane in either of these stats can be taken if necessary and circumvented through team support.
Banes
- -RES: Taking a Resistance bane is Linde's safest choice, as her Resistance is generally too low to use Ploys and helps preserve her physical bulk. While lowering this stat does cause it to decrease by 4 points as opposed to the typical 3, Linde generally still has enough magical bulk to take a single hit from a non-green mage, even with the bane.

With the power of her newly refined Aura tome, Linde has now acquired the ability to be a fantastic support unit while still remaining a relatively fierce powerhouse in her own right. In addition to granting adjacent magic and staff allies with an impressive +6 buff to their Attack, Linde’s new refine also lets her gain a passive +5/+5 boost to her Attack and Speed, provided that she is within two spaces of such allies; this gives her great flexibility in the role that she can play in a team so long as she has a magic or staff ally alongside her. A boon in either her Attack or Speed stat can work here since, despite her newfound supportive capabilities, she is still an extremely capable combatant and appreciates any boost to her offenses.
Any movement Assist like Reposition works fine here, but Ardent Sacrifice is also an option if using Desperation to immediately drop her into Desperation’s HP threshold without having to rely on her ability to tank a hit. Glimmer is a great choice of Special, possessing a low cooldown while also scaling decently with Linde’s typically high damage output. Moonbow can also be used to help against opponents with high Resistance stats. Draconic Aura offers the most destructive and consistent damage increase in exchange for longer cooldown.
As for her A slot, Fury is a solid choice that increases her offenses while also strengthening her low bulk, thus increasing her chances of surviving a single hit. Alternatively, Swift Sparrow can also be taken to provide Linde with a stronger boost to her offensive potential, giving Linde a considerable +4 boost to her offenses without requiring any additional setup. If using Ardent Sacrifice, Brazen Atk/Spd and Life and Death also become viable, though expensive, options in order to maximize her offensive potential.
Linde’s B slot is largely up to personal preference and depends on whether one wishes to focus either on her combat prowess or on her ability to support her allies. If the former, Desperation is her best option as it allows her to freely perform follow-up attacks without worry of retaliation. In contrast, Linde also has the option of running Chills in her B slot to improve both her and her allies’ overall performance. Chill Spd helps her team secure follow-up attacks against speedy opponents who may otherwise prove to be a nuisance while Chill Res helps increase her raw damage output, as well as that of fellow Resistance-targeting allies.
Even Spd Wave is a fantastic choice to further build on her supportive capabilities, letting her potentially grant an adjacent magic or staff ally with a tremendous +6/+6 buff to their offensive stats while also bolstering her own offensive presence considerably. Although this buff is best utilized by Blade tome mages, any ally who receives the buff can use it to great effect to significantly boost their individual performance. Hone Spd is a decent alternative if on a budget but otherwise, Linde can run any buff that best suits her team’s needs.
Her Seal slot is open to several different options with the Drive Atk seal being a good option to strengthen Linde's ability to support her team. The Flashing Blade seal can also be taken to increase her damage output through more frequent Special activations; given her high Speed stat and Aura’s refined effect, Linde will be able to activate Flashing Blade with relative ease. Otherwise, the Speed +3 Seal is always being a solid choice to improve her ability to perform and deny follow-up attacks.

- Passive A: Atk/Spd Solo / Swift Sparrow / Fury
- Passive B: Desperation
- Passive C: Odd Atk Wave / Even Spd Wave / Flexible
- Sacred Seal: Speed +3 / Heavy Blade / Attack +3
This build ditches Linde’s personal tome and her ability to support her teammates in exchange for the ability to maximize her raw damage output through the use of the Blárblade tome; however, although this build does have the potential to have an extremely high offensive ceiling, Linde must be accompanied by allies who can provide her field buffs in order for this potential to be reached. A boon to either her Attack or Speed stat is again recommended to build upon her already strong offenses, though a Speed boon is generally the preferable option to enable her to perform follow-up attacks more reliably.
Aside from the aforementioned Blárblade tome, another pivotal part of this build is Desperation, which lets her fire off successive, powerful hits against opponents without having to worry about being killed in retaliation. However, Linde’s low overall bulk can make reaching its HP threshold somewhat of a challenge, making Ardent Sacrifice a great choice for her Assist in order to safely drop her into the threshold itself. Otherwise, any movement Assist may be used.
Glimmer makes for a fantastic Special on most Blade tome users with Linde being no exception. On top of having a relatively low cooldown, it also scales extremely well with the additional damage from Blárblade’s effect. Linde can also use Draconic Aura alongside the Heavy Blade Seal, effectively bypassing the Special’s otherwise high cooldown, for more consistent and powerful Special activations. Regardless of the Special chosen, however, both Specials become increasingly more powerful with the more field buffs applied to Linde.
For her A slot, Atk/Spd Solo is her best option as it gives her the most favorable boost to her offenses without the need to forsake her bulk. Also, thanks to this build's offensive playstyle, Linde will typically be away from her allies anyways, rendering the skill's positioning requirement to rarely be a detriment. However, as it is a rare skill, Swift Sparrow may also be taken as it provides a similar improvement to her offensive presence on initiation. Linde also has the option of running Fury, which helps decrease her chances of being OHKO’d; this can be further supplemented by team buffs (which she should be receiving regardless due to the nature of Blárblade’s effect). Life and Death and Brazen Atk/Spd also become available options to her if running Ardent Sacrifice as her Assist.
Odd Atk Wave and Even Spd Wave are two incredibly effective choices for her C slot, allowing her to be slightly more self-sufficient while also being able to provide her allies with a considerable boost to one of their offensive stats. If unavailable, any skill that suits her team’s needs can be used here. Aside from the Heavy Blade Seal, the Speed +3 and Attack +3 Seals are both good options to complement this build’s offensive playstyle.
Introduction
By merit of her fantastic offensive stat spread alone, Linde has proved to be an incredibly powerful threat since the game’s launch and has distinguished herself as arguably one of the best blue infantry mages in the game. Though she still has the ability to inflict tremendous amounts of damage through the use of the Blárblade tome, Linde’s new weapon refine allows her to now be an incredible support unit while still possessing similar destructive power; a +6 Attack buff to adjacent magic and staff allies in addition to a +5/+5 boost to Linde’s own offenses when near such allies lets her role on a given team be quite flexible. She also has the option of running Dark Aura should that be more preferred depending on her team composition.
However, her stat spread’s focus on her offenses leaves her with underwhelming bulk. Often having to rely on Desperation to avoid counterattacks, Linde’s low overall bulk does her no favors and can prove to be a serious detriment to her performance. Even her magical bulk, while decent, is not enough to let her take on sustained magical pressure. Furthermore, regardless of the weapon she is running, her teammates will have some restrictions - refined Aura requires her to be paired alongside at least one magic or staff ally, while Blárblade requires her teammates to be carrying field buffs in their C/Seal slot. Overall, despite her weaknesses, with amazing offensive potential and a fantastic personal weapon, Linde can be a great addition to a large number of teams and defines herself as one of the best mages currently in the game.
Strengths
Aura
Linde’s newly refined weapon, Aura, complements her strong offenses, allowing her to continue to be a powerful offensive mage while also having great utility.
Versatile
Her weapon refine’s effect lets Linde’s role to change with ease throughout the course of a battle and makes her an incredibly flexible ally. Depending on her team composition, Linde also has the option of running Dark Aura, or possibly even regular Aura.
Strong Offensive Stats
At an offensive spread of 35/36, Linde has astounding potential in the Player Phase and is easily capable of ripping teams apart through strong and reliable follow-up attacks.
Weaknesses
Low Overall Bulk
Linde is a glass cannon in every sense of the term, and although this does wonders for her damage output, she is left extremely susceptible to most kinds of damage. Even mages can prove to be troublesome, as her magical bulk is usually barely enough to warrant tanking a single magical hit at most.
Team Restrictive
While Linde herself is a rather flexible unit, using her in a given team composition can actually be somewhat restrictive. Her refined Aura requires her to have at least one magic or staff ally to accompany her for the effect to be useful, Blárblade demands her teammates to have field buffs occupying their C/Seal slots, and Dark Aura’s effect is only useful on melee allies.
Team Options
Counters
- Magical Tanks: Magically tanky units such as Sheena, Deirdre, Julia, and Halloween Henry are one of her most effective counters and are able to easily take the brunt of Linde’s onslaught.
- Strong Melee: With Linde’s extremely low physical bulk, any form of physical damage will easily be able to break through her paper-thin Defense and take her out of commission, provided that they initiate against her. Some notable examples include Ephraim, Cherche, Tana, Soleil, and Raven.
- Offensive Archers: Offensive archers such as Klein, Innes, Takumi, Bridal Cordelia, Brave Lyn, and Roy (LA) are also able to efficiently deal with Linde; those who wield the Brave Bow are particularly lethal.
- Strong Greens: Strong greens like Fallen Robin (M), Kana (F), Myrrh, and Minerva can all exploit Weapon Triangle advantage and Linde’s low bulk to take her out easily as well.

This is mostly budget and for those who hate using healers or don't have falchion users. Using ardent sacrifice puts her in desperation range and heals the allies when she initiates combat. I find this build good for support and nuking enemies.

Mage healer build, with attacks giving +21 hp to all allies directly onside unit. A slot can trade between any damage or speed skills. If you prefer health% or player turn skills to boost stats those work as well, though I prefer static stats for my playstyle) Linde's favorable speed is perfect for B slot Dispersion, so depending on your stats, augmenting the Dancer's Score could either be a +2 speed or +3 res (for surviving blue mage attacks). If you keep your units closely together when fighting, having solid side heals can provide alot more survivability, especially in PVE. If you wanna trade in some dps for additional survivability, trade shield skill Draw Back for Reciprocal Aid/Ardent Sacrifice, and trade the special skill Glimmer for Miracle.

Dark Aura build: With LaD, attack boon and Attack +3 seal, Linde's attack goes to 60. Defense goes all the way down to 9. If a +Atk/-Def Linde is acquired, then that IV set works a bit better (because there's really no difference in defense, she's gonna get blown up either way).

With the 2.3 update granting a weapon refine to Eirika's Sieglinde, I found myself in need of a buffer that could work alongside her.
Tactic and Emblem buffs are by far the best for Eirika's built-in Drive support, and so I found Linde to be an excellent choice for the Tactic buff bot role, with the introduction of the Def Tactic seal (Delthea works as well, but I prefer the extra speed; Linde's ideal IVs being
+Spd/-Def).
Since both she and Eirika handle the buffing for the team, the other members can free up their C and seal slots for different forms of utility, like say Guidance on a flier ally (whatever your team needs).
Wind/Watersweep takes advantage of Linde's blistering speed and allows her to safely poke opponents that she can't OHKO (I would suggest giving both Eirika and Linde Earth or Water blessings to increase their offensive potentials). As an alternative, you can opt to run a standard Fury Desperation with Iceberg.
