Boons
-
+ATK: It is preferable to increase her attack stat to 40 for further oneshot capabilities.
-
+RES: This gives Lilina the ability to take a beating from dragons and other magical attacks.
Neutral
-
SPD: This can go either way- you can go for a bane on this for a Quick Riposte/Iceberg set, and since it’s a superboon you can try to salvage it at 29 speed, but otherwise leave it alone.
-
HP: This should also be neutral- Lilina doesn’t have a high HP stat at 35 and may have difficulty taking blows with a bane, particularly with her low speed.
Banes
- -DEF: Her Defense should only be considered if you’re going for a Raven build- and there are definitely better units than Lilina to focus on for that.

With a massive attack stat to her name, Lilina is one of the best units to run a oneshot build, which can now be achieved either through Rauðrblade or her legendary tome, Forblaze. Forblaze adds what is essentially +13 damage to her attacks, provided that she is attacking the opponent that is currently under the effect of her tome's built-in Chill Res. This means that she does 14 more damage than an unbuffed Rauðrblade, without the drawback of increasing her special cooldown. A Lilina with Rauðrblade can outdamage a Forblaze Lilina with a +6 Attack buff from a Tactic skill and a +3 or better buff to another stat, or a +4 Attack buff, a +4 buff and a +3 buff or better. This means that the cap of damage is higher on Rauðrblade, but it requires one or more buffing partners, more careful positioning, and still comes with the demerit of increasing her special charge. Conversely, Forblaze loses 7 damage if not attacking her Chill Res target, but still comes with an added Death Blow and higher mt.
No matter which weapon you use on her, the rest of her build would still look very similar.
An offensive Lilina can be built one of two ways- you can make an attempt to salvage her speed with a superboon, Life and Death, Speed Seal, and an ally with Hone Speed to get her up to 41. This will allow her to double slower units, while Swordbreaker can help her double the speedier Arena threats. Through this, Lilina can apply her devastating Attack stat twice, though it makes her exceptionally frail and you’d want to be careful when putting her in any situation that may cause her to take damage.
A more conventional offensive build focuses solely on pumping up her Attack to strike only once and puts all the resources available into ensuring that the single blow is a KO. This is done through a +ATK boon, Death Blow, an Attack seal, and weaponizing her Resistance via Res Ploy or utilizing Forblaze's Chill Res. Through this, Lilina can typically use her 31 RES to debuff her target before attacking them with a base 62 unbuffed attack with Rauðrblade, 69 with Forblaze. Her damage can be increased exponentially through buffing, until she reaches her cap of 82 damage with Rauðrblade, 73 with Forblaze (assuming all stats have +4 buffs).
This is also why Draconic Aura is preferred over Iceberg. They begin on roughly equal additional damage, but the more Lilina’s Attack scales with her buffs, the more damage Draconic Aura does. Iceberg or Glacies should only be chosen if you run a +RES Lilina for additional tanking or utilizing Ploy skills.
Her B slot is more flexible. One can never go wrong with Quick Riposte in order to utilize her more effectively in the Enemy Phase, but for a more offensive Lilina, a Breaker skill is more advantageous. R Tomebreaker comes with the advantage of shutting down Winter Tharja’s Vengeful Fighter, though Swordbreaker has more practical application in dealing with more DC units, such as Ayra or Ryoma. Be careful when relying on Swordbreaker though- it only takes 51 neutral attack to oneshot a -Def or -HP Lilina on counterattack.
A Lilina running Forblaze likely does not need to concern herself with running Res Ploy, which frees up her C slot to buff her team or support them via Ploy debuffing the enemy units. With Rauðrblade, she may want to consider Res Ploy, as it will further add to the amount of damage she can do.

Lilina’s potential 34 Res stat shows up in a big way with this set, which functions entirely during the Enemy Phase. She should ideally be used as a bait unit next to an ally, somewhere where you can set up her Ploys to debuff the enemy before attacking her. Thanks to Atk Res Bond, Candelabra’s effect and forge, and Distant Defense, Lilina can reach a potential of 50 Resistance with which to tank two attacks with and retaliate with an effective 56 attack, plus a +25 damage Iceberg proc on the second attack. This should be enough to wipe any magic user off the map.
If dragons are giving you trouble, Lilina can eliminate them in Enemy Phase easily with Close Counter. Myrrh in particular cannot even scratch Lilina- and while Lilina can’t double her in turn due to her low defenses, she has the potential to burst the green dragon down faster than most other non-Falchion units.
As always, be careful of physical attackers with this build- Lilina is heavily stacked toward tanking magic, but a single arrow from a 51 Attack archer can bring her to her knees.
Introduction
While at one point she was considered a red pool pitybreaker, Lilina's Forblaze upgrade and refinement makes her damage anything but pitiful. Packing a built-in Chill Resistance alongside a Death Blow, her already-good Attack stat is vaulted even higher with an effective +13 damage when attacking the opponent under the effect of Chill Res.
Lilina sports high Attack to supplement her oneshot potential with, decent Resistance, and- not much else of note. Her Speed, though a superboon, is relatively poor, and her Defense and HP are both very low. Prior to her upgrade, she’s was typically run with a Blade tome in an attempt to one-shot low RES targets, and with the introduction of the Ploy skills, she can do serviceably well at debuffing the enemy team along the way.
Strengths
High Attack
Lilina has the highest Attack of any mage in the game at 37, tying her with Sanaki.
This allows her to run one-shot builds where she can focus on increasing her Attack exponentially to kill her opponent in a single blow.
Her Forblaze upgrade and refinement factor into this perfectly, allowing her an impressive oneshot potential.
Good Resistance
Her Resistance is decent at 31, allowing her some magic tanking ability.
This allows her to Ploy many other units in the game, particularly if her Resistance is invested in.
Weaknesses
Low Speed
What really hurts Lilina is her accompanying low Speed. At 25, she won’t be able to double effectively, and she’s likely to be doubled by many other units.
This means that she has to either focus on increasing her Speed through a superboon or try to one-shot opponents. If Lilina cannot oneshot an enemy with her high Attack, she’s likely to die from a counterattack.
Conversely, low Speed can work well in a Quick Riposte build- though this would only be efficient at dueling other mages.
Low Defense
While low Defense normally wouldn’t be a con for mages, having 19 Defense cripples Lilina’s ability to run a Raven tome build, which would otherwise synergize with her low speed and high attack.
Her Defense is just high enough that it drains her other stats- 5 more invested in Speed and 5 less in Defense could make her far more formidable- but it is not high enough that it allows her to utilize it effectively vs physical units.
Team Options
Counters
Lilina is vulnerable when attacked due to her low Speed, and the magnitude of fantastic blue mages in the game keeps her threatened and under pressure.
- Delthea makes another appearance, alongside Reinhardt, Summer Corrin, and Lute, are all blue magic units that can resist Lilina’s powerful attacks and wipe her from the map.
- Fjorm, Camus, Fallen Hardin, and other blue melee units who commonly counterattack at range are threats to Lilina, as she typically cannot safely attack into them.
- Tharja, Y!Tiki, and Ryoma are all same-color units capable of countering Lilina with higher Speed than her and care should be taken to ensure she can one-shot them.

Player Phase One-Shot Nuker Lilina
Forblaze (Eff refined)(Weapon)
Effectively Lillina's strongest weapon. It has built-in Chill Res 3, which allows her to leave a dent even against some Blue units. Upon refining, it gains the devastating Death Blow 3 effect. Couple this with the Death Blow 3 A-Slot skill grants her a whooping Atk+12 when she initiates combat.
Odd Atk Wave 3 pushes her one-shot potential even further.
Reposition (Assist)
Very self-explanatory.
Glimmer / Draconic Aura (Special)
Lilina benefits from either Special and doesn't really need it for her to be good. She IS good already. Both Specials gives her additional nuking power which already screams overkill, especially with double Death Blow.
Death Blow 3 (A-Slot)
The ideal skill of choice that pairs really well with her personal tome, Forblaze. This ramps up her nuking potential even better.
Swordbreaker 3 (B-Slot)
In the current meta, Sword units prove their dominance. This allows Lilina to bypass Speed check by simply having this skill equipped.
Odd Atk Wave 3 (C-Slot)
This grants Lilina, yet, another Atk+6 on odd-numbered turns. Not only this benefits herself, but she can also benefit adjacent allies, giving them a much needed boost in killing power.
Attack +3 (Sacred Seal)
Very self-explanatory.
-----
Pros:
+ Amazing personal weapon with excellent primary and refining effects
+ Naturally having the highest Attack stat, tied with Sanaki, of all mages in the game
+ Very flexible to build
Cons:
- Has below average Speed, thus she will get doubled a lot of the time without Breaker skills
- Has mediocre Def; even powerful Green physical bruisers, like Raven, can take her out just as easily
- Following that, a lot of her targets will most likely have Distant Counter on them (especially during Arena Assault)
- Good against majority of non-Blue units, but Blue units themselves
- Requires tons of investment to be excellent as her base kit is rather lackluster to begin with

Forblaze provides built-in Chill Res 3 and gaining Death blow 3 with it's unique refinement, allowing Lilina to deal a great deal of damage on the foe with the highest res, and to further boost her firepower, running Death blow on her A slot along with having the new skill Odd Attack Wave 3 grants +18 attack on odd number of turns and effectively +25 attack on the foe inflicted by Forblaze's Chill Res 3.
Chill Atk 3 will benefit the rest of her team and allows her to tank hits assuming they're magic-based.

Forblaze! Out of Nowhere!:
This set is meant mainly for defensive teams and grand conquests. The premise of this build is quite simple- get an ally under the 50% threshold and let Lilina melt their foe's face off with Forblaze. Not many units can survive a 69-75 magical attack (not including her Chill Res effect) and live to tell the tale. If you manage to charge her special, you get to weapon triangle-defying territory.
For defensive teams, Lilina works best with Guidance users or blue cavaliers with good defense (like Clive) who can rush the opponent and get beaten to a pulp. Lilina can then warp to their aid and ruin an unlucky player's day. Hardy Bearing can be taken into consideration in order to allow Lilina to avoid any Vantage shenanigans. Put Spur Attack on Lilina's allies for added enjoyment.

This Lilina build solely focuses on Lilina's Res, while also being good at mage killing thanks to her wonderful 37 atk base. It might be a tad silly to put a res refine on Forblaze, but that's the optimal weapon she has that benefits her defensively and offensively (Chill Res), until Rauðrserpent+ will appear on a unit (Distant Def 3 build into it + refinable) this is the most optimal one, if you also want to check ThE eNeMy quote lady, use Rauðrraven+, but if the quote lady uses a F Sweep bow.., then wait to strike at the right moment, she can't nullify your "weapon" advantage (Cancel Affinity only cancels TA), and hope for the name of Naga, you'll one "magic" her. Now onto the support skill, it's basically your choice, me personally I like Dual Rallies and scores good in Arena, so I have one. Since you'll reach Wry high of a Res stat, you'll definitely need Iceberg, but "Why not use Glacies if you can one shot literally everyone (but Oliver) with it? LUL", if you use Iceberg, and the enemy tome/staff/bow/dagger is faster then Lilina's astonishly bad spd stat (Spd- btw), and Lilina survives (be cautious of bows/daggers) then it's most likely, they'll die. Mirror Stance 2 is a fantastic A skill for mage tanks, since not only gives you res, but also atk, which helps killing some "ressy" blue mages, like Delthea or Lute. Quick Riposte 3 allows the "Iceberg massacre" to actually be a thing, god bless Subakis. Since you already have poop ton of res, why not Atk Ploy someone so Rein will cry himself to sleep because he deals 0x2 to you? The seal slot also helps a ton with it's 6+ def/res agaisnt bow/tome (I'll just call them 2 space-away attackers), so it's optimal to use it. Everything but in a nutshell is that this build is only focused on her enemy phase capability, and it does wonders. Ally recommendation Literally everyone with Drive Def/Res does wonders to Lilina's defensive capabilities, and also more Drive Res(ses) will make Lilina a monster in enemy phase, well, for 2 space-away attackers who can do magic. PA!Azura is a good teammate for Lilina, due to the Urðr buff she gives if she sings (or dances for you plebs). Now then, have fun killing Rein's out there!
