Boons
- +SPD: Lene’s optimal boon. Currently tied with New Years Azura as the dancer with the highest base Speed, a boon in this stat not only allows her to avoid doubles reliably but allows her to perform them herself with relative ease; this can be further augmented through refining her weapon and team support.
- +ATK: An Attack boon is also acceptable for overall damage increase, and can be considered should one rather focus on increasing her raw strength over building upon her decent base Speed.
Neutral
- DEF: It is recommended to leave this stat untouched as raising it will rarely be a priority unless wanting to increase her weight in Arena. In addition, Lene will often find herself fighting against enemies who target her Defense stat and at a neutral physical bulk of 58, Lene will want to preserve as much of it as possible.
- RES: Lene’s Resistance is pretty decent and can prove to be useful should she ever be required to tank a magical hit. In addition, a Resistance bane is a superbane and results in it being lowered by 4 points as opposed to the usual 3, making it undesirable.
Banes
- -HP: Though taking an HP bane does lower both her physical and magical bulk, refining her weapon effectively makes up for the stat loss and makes it the least damaging to her overall bulk.

An offensively oriented build that relies on her Special activations to deal large amounts of burst damage; this allows her to act as both a capable duelist and support unit. As such, a Speed boon is highly recommended to further enhance her ability to perform follow-up attacks and charge up her Special faster. An Attack boon is also an acceptable alternative for an overall increase to damage output outside of Special activations.
Her weapon of choice is the Wo Dao, the main source of power in this build. Granting her +10 damage whenever her Special activates, the Wo Dao gives Lene access to powerful and frequent bursts of damage. However, barring her Speed, none of her other stats are high enough to merit the use of Specials that scale off of them. Because of this, it is recommended to use the Wo Dao in tandem with Moonbow, as its low cooldown ensures that Lene will regularly be able to make use of the flat +10 Special damage increase to its fullest capacity.
For her A slot, Fury is an incredible choice, with the stat boosts it grants being immensely appreciated by the young dancer. When taking into consideration a Speed boon and weapon refine, Fury lets Lene reach an impressive 44 Speed, meaning she is extremely unlikely to be doubled through normal means. In addition, the +3 increase to both her defenses don’t go to waste either, giving her bulk a much-needed boost; this increase to her bulk in addition to her high Speed stat makes it possible for her to be able to take a hit or two.
Wings of Mercy is a great choice of a B slot for any dancer and can provide a flexibility to her team that is otherwise irreproducible. However, do keep in mind that unless her allies fall under the 50% HP threshold, Wings of Mercy will not activate and will essentially just be a waste of a slot. Lene’s innate Firestorm Dance is also a decent utility option for her B slot, and the buff it provides to her teammates after they have been Danced may prove to be more useful than Wings of Mercy; the choice between the two is ultimately playstyle-dependent.
Lene’s C slot is flexible and should be utilized to support the rest of her team. Drive skills such as Drive Attack are particularly potent on Lene; the added flexibility in positioning they have in comparison to regular buffs and Spurs can prove to be extremely useful. Like her C slot, Lene’s seal slot is flexible. Atk Smoke makes for a great choice, as the debuff it inflicts upon the enemy can help out greatly in a pinch. The Speed +3 seal can also be taken in order to further stack her Speed stat. Otherwise, Lene’s seal slot can be utilized by a Spur or Drive of one’s choosing.

- Sacred Seal: Quick Riposte / Close Def / Flexible
An Enemy Phase oriented build revolving around the use of Lene’s inherent weapon, Safeguard, which gives her an impressive +7 boost to her Defense stat during Enemy Phase. Taking a Speed boon is recommended here in order to reduce her chances of getting doubled and will thus further increase her overall survivability. With a Speed boon in addition to a Speed refine on her weapon, Lene will be able to avoid doubles from units with up to 45 Speed; this is particularly useful when taking into consideration the prominence of speedy sword units in the current meta. Keep in mind that skills like Bold Fighter completely disregard all of Lene’s Speed stacking, making it imperative that she avoid users of such skills at all costs.
For her Special, Moonbow is a fantastic option as its low cooldown allows it to activate frequently. Luna also makes for a decent alternative, granting higher damage output at the cost of higher cooldown. With Safeguard’s boost to Lene’s Defense stat in the Enemy Phase, Bonfire also becomes available to her and can be considered should one favor more consistent damage increase. If assuming it activates in the Enemy Phase, Bonfire can grant +15 damage on every activation.
Running Close Defense in conjunction with Quick Riposte allows Lene to abuse her weapon’s effect to its fullest extent; in addition to gaining a +13 Defense boost and +6 Resistance boost if attacked by a melee opponent, Lene gains a guaranteed double on the Enemy Phase regardless of her own Speed. If on a budget, Fury may also be used but will force Lene to pick her fights carefully as the chip damage will knock her outside of Quick Riposte’s HP threshold quickly.
It is recommended to use Quick Riposte in her seal slot in order to keep her B slot open to several options. Wings of Mercy is again an option due to the sheer flexibility it grants her team. Renewal is also available to her and grants Lene sustain, making it so that she can stay in Quick Riposte’s HP threshold more reliably. Her native Firestorm Dance may also be considered as a budget option. However, if one of her teammates covets the Quick Riposte seal, then she can run it in her B slot; her seal slot would then be open to either Close Defense to further enhance her ability to tank hits or to any seal that compliments her team composition.
Introduction
Coming from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Lene joins the fray as the game’s second sword-wielding dancer. Just by merit of having Dance, Lene proves to be an incredibly powerful asset at one’s disposal; the ability to grant an ally another action is invaluable. As a dancer, Lene’s bulk mainly comes from her ability to avoid doubles and luckily, she can manage to do so with relative ease; tied only to New Year Azura, Lene has the highest base Speed of any dancer currently in the game.
However, as is the case with all other refreshers, her ability to use Dance comes with a caveat: a BST cut. In addition to having less weight in Arena in comparison to other infantry sword units, Lene’s low BST causes her stat allocation to suffer as well. Aside from her Speed stat, the rest of her stats are all rather lackluster, but she can still be a competent duelist by abusing her Special activations. All in all, Lene definitely makes up for her lackluster stats with her supportive capabilities through Dance, making her a flexible ally and allows her to fit into most team compositions.
Strengths
Dance
Lene’s greatest strength is her access to Dance, a potent skill that grants her the ability to refresh an ally’s turn. When used properly, Lene gives her team a significant advantage and can often make otherwise tricky situations into a piece of cake.
Good Speed
Boasting a base Speed of 35, Lene can build upon this stat to reach impressive levels, lowering the likelihood of her being doubled through normal means considerably; this is pivotal in order to maintain her survivability.
Weaknesses
Low BST
Lene has a neutral BST of 149, which means she weighs substantially less in Arena than other infantry melee units; this BST cut causes her stat allocation to be overall weaker in comparison as well.
Low Physical Bulk
As a result of Lene’s aforementioned low BST, her stats, barring her Speed, suffer across the board, specifically affecting her physical bulk. At a mere physical bulk of 58, this can prove to be quite the detriment as she’ll typically be fighting opponents that target her Defense.
Team Options
Counters
Strong melee blues can use the Weapon Triangle advantage and Lene’s low physical bulk to their advantage, often having little to no issue in killing her. Since she is an infantry unit, users of the Poison Dagger also kill Lene with relative ease as well. In addition, skills such as Bold Fighter, Swordbreaker, and Ephraim’s Pursuit refine hurt her immensely.
-
Strong Melee Blues: Units like Legendary Ephraim, Winter Robin, and Effie have the easiest time in dealing with Lene, often dealing enough damage to reliably OHKO her.
-
Effective Damage: High Attack dagger units such as Sothe and Kagero who can utilize the Poison Dagger can finish Lene off without breaking a sweat.
-
Natural Follow-Ups: Because Lene relies on her ability to avoid doubles to maintain her survivability, skills like Bold Fighter that naturally cause doubles without a need for Speed are lethal. Units like Hardin, Black Knight, and Zelgius who can utilize such skills can then easily defeat Lene; Ephraim’s Pursuit and natural Weapon Triangle advantage can also quickly spell the end for her.

Lene is a fantastic dancer, she can not only dance, but she can also be a super defensive dancer. When Lene is in hand with Steady Breath, and Steady Guard(+Def), she will be killing people when attacked, her special will charge each time. Lene will have 42 defense when she is hit by an axe unit and will do superior when she hits. This build lets her dance and support her team while she is out in the battlefield with an amazing build.
Lene has 38 defense when she gets hit by an enemy, which gives her as an enemy phase in this build. Lene will be hit by an enemy and her special will be activated almost each time with her fast speed of 35. When Lene is plus attack, she can do a great amount of damage and finish the enemy off with a special each time. Safeguard allows Lene to have a +7 defense and refining it to +4 Defense gives her +11 defense. Steady Breath gives Lene +4 defense and adding all the numbers together, she would have an add on of 15 defense. In conclusion, Lene will have 42 defense when attacked and makes her an enemy phase unit.
When Lene has Wings of Mercy 3 equipped, she will be a saving dancer. Lene not only can dance to people with low health, but she can save her teammates with her 42 defense. When Wings of Mercy is granted, Lene can warp anywhere around the map and can save your teammates by finishing off the enemies in their phase.
Lene is not only a really good enemy phase dancer, but she can be a great booster. When giving Lene Hone Spd as her C skill, and Hone Atk as her seal, she will be granting her teammates +4 Atk and Spd each time which will make her teammates win more.
In conclusion, Lene is a really good sword dancer and can be effective as an enemy phase dancer. Lene will attack with 42 Defense and can save her teammates with Wings of Mercy. Lene will boost her teammates and make them much harder to kill. Lene is an effective dancer and is one of the best red units to use.

Since her bane was in Spd and she got an Atk boon I felt save to increase her defenses. Her Spd and Atk becomes neutral due to the Safeguard +Spd and fortress def.
With fortress def and safeguard she reaches 35 def on par with some armors in the game and 28 res allows her to tank a hit from some mages as well although not as reliably as her defensive capabilities.
She also has Miracle just incase of her HP being low and the rest of her build is very support based almost on par with P!Azura however she cant buff allies res. Although +3 to Atk, Spd, and Def is just fine.
She is mainly a buffer trying to help another ally finish off an extra enemy but if needed to she can take a hit from some enemies and dish out some extra damage to help her allies take out other strong threats.

Ignis | C | Threaten Atk 3 |
| S | Múspellflame | ||
With this build, Lene becomes a tanky supporter with extremely low Atk, but makes up for it by successfully tanking the majority of physical hits and retaliating with Ignis. Her low Atk also becomes beneficial in Arena Defense teams, as it will make her AI less likely to initiate attacks against opponents (note the 5 damage rule of Singers/Dancers) and shatter from their counterattacks.
Weapon: Safeguard+ (+Def) lets Lene boost her Defense to extremely high levels in the Enemy Phase.
Assist: Dance is used in her Assist slot. No questions asked.
Special: Ignis will cause Lene to annihilate foes once in a while due to the extreme levels of Defense she can reach with her weapon and double Fortress Def. Bonfire is an acceptable alternative.
A Skill: Fortress Def 3 boosts Lene’s Defense by 5 and lowers her Attack by 3. This contributes to her capability of tanking common physical threats like Ayra or Brave Lyn and firing off sky-high damage with Ignis.
B Skill: Wings of Mercy 3 allows Lene to fly through the map to support her allies. Alternatively, her default Firestorm Dance 2 can be used.
C Skill: Threaten Atk 3 allows Lene to passively debuff her foes’ Attack without initiating combat, further enhancing her tanking potential.
Sacred Seal: Fortress Def 3 is the ideal choice for Lene’s Sacred Seal. In total, Lene would reach up to 46 Defense. This may not seem as high as the high-defense Lukas builds, but keep in mind that Lene only exists to Dance her allies, and this allows her to tank physical hits at the same time.

Holy Vestments | C | Infantry Pulse 3 |
| S | HP +5 | ||
I took this in a weird direction since I got weird boon/banes. Since I have Olivia spec set as an attack boosting support I wanted a dancer with the Infantry Pulse skill since it would be a wasted slot on many attacker/tank characters. This build really is only viable if you have a HP boon Lene, but a 54(49 without the seal) HP is still reasonably high considering most attack focused characters favor an HP bane. As long as the person you want benefitting from Infantry Pulse has 48HP or lower swapping the seal for a more traditional dancer seal like Spur Attack is also perfectly viable. A Mixed HP/X A slot also works but can slightly limit the people she supports well.
Since her job is supporting she won't be seeing much combat, but the few attacks she does take most likely will be ranged Holy Vestments with its low charge time can save her from an unlucky hit now and then.

The general purpose of this build is to allow lene to fight on the enemy phase while sacrificing her player phase so that she can dance to allow her other teammates to sweep potential threats.
Enemy phase lene with fantastic physical bulk and relies on her special activation to 1 round most enemies if she has a follow up attack.
The ignis activation will give her an additional 35 dmg to secure kills.
Safeguard+ (+def), steady breath, and close def 3 give an effective 17 def to bring her total def up to 44.
Atk ploy can potentially be run with a res boon against non-mages or any units with low res to help keep lene alive in encounters.
