With decent Resistance and good Speed, in addition to flier typing, Hot Springs Camilla can fill a supportive role well. The weapon of choice is her innate Ouch Pouch, allowing her to reduce her Special cooldown at the beginning of a match - a perfect bonus for a supportive unit. A +Spd refine is chosen to increase her sweep potential.

Ouch Pouch+ causes Moonbow to be active on Hot Springs Camilla’s first attack of the match. Due to her mediocre Attack, having a readied Moonbow is a superior boost to her combat potential and allows her to severely weaken most targets for her offensive teammates to safely finish the job.

Fury is a great A slot for the set, boosting Hot Springs Camilla’s Speed, which synergizes well with Windsweep and Waterwseep. Likewise, Fury boosts her Resistance, granting her wider Ploy potential. Swift Sparrow can also be used to gain an additional point in Attack and Speed, though this doesn’t help her debuffing capabilities.

Hot Springs Camilla reaches 40 Speed with Fury 3 and a Spd refined weapon. She’ll be able to safely sweep most targets, especially after a successful Spd Ploy. Depending on team makeup, Watersweep may be a stronger option, however Windsweep usually offers more variable utility.

Atk Ploy in the C slot is a solid option thanks to a boosted 31 Res. While 31 Resistance will face some competition, most of the offensive threats have lower Res, forcing them to be hit by Hot Springs Camilla’s debuff. Additionally, Spd Ploy in the Sacred Seal slot further debilitates powerful enemies.

Thanks to Ouch Pouch, Hot Springs Camilla receives a -2 Special cooldown charge at the beginning of turn 1. Coupled with Quickened Pulse Sacred Seal, she’ll have a turn 1 Iceberg or Luna ready to fire. Special mention goes to Legendary Hector, whose Ostia’s Pulse will further lower Hot Springs Camilla’s Special charge by an additional point, allowing for a brutal turn 1 Blazing Special or Glacies.

The rest of Hot Springs Camilla’s kit attempts to further boost her initial attack. Deathblow 4 ensures she has the most attack possible while Chill Def lowers the most defensive unit on the field. A +Atk refine is chosen, as Hot Springs Camilla is all-in on her initial burst.

Lastly, in the C slot, an Atk Wave of choice is used to further increase Hot Springs Camilla’s nuking power. Should Camilla be a part of a team where offensive buffs are available, she may find herself opting Def Ploy or utility abilities such as Guidance.

Introduction

At long last! A Camilla alt has arrived!

Hot Springs Camilla sets herself apart from others in the colorless dagger pool with her flier mobility. Unfortunately, Eir outperforms better in every regard - Eir is a colorless flying dagger, has a stronger stat spread, has access to assets, and is also a free unit.

With a base offensive spread of 33 Atk and 35 Spd, Hot Springs Camilla can perform well as an offensive dagger unit. With enough speed to pull off a sweep set, she can fulfill the debuffer role admirably, though this role has stiff competition with the likes of Sothe and of course, Eir.

Perhaps Hot Springs Camilla’s greatest two assets are in the form of skill inheritance. Hone Fliers will be purchasable with Heroic Grails at 4 star availability, finally allowing players to have access to a coveted flier buffing skill. Likewise, her new weapon, the Ouch Pouch, is an exceptional new dagger granting Special cooldown count -2 at the start of turn 1, in addition to debuffing Def/Res by -7 on foes within 2 spaces of the target.

Strengths

Great Inheritance Options

Ouch Pouch and Hone Fliers are incredible skills. Thanks to Hot Springs Camilla’s availability as a Tempest Trials+ reward, she can be purchased with Heroic Grails, granting players a plentiful supply of these two great skills.

Solid Offensive Spread

With 33 Attack and 35 Speed, Hot Springs Camilla can perform well as an offensive dagger unit. Her high speed allows her to run Windsweep or Watersweep builds and her decent Attack will help her to poke a reasonable dent in targets.

Weaknesses

Eir

Hot Springs Camilla’s biggest weakness is Eir. Eir outclasses Hot Springs Camilla in every regard. She is a superior offensive unit with identical typing and higher resistance, which also makes her a superior debuffer. Eir has access to assets and is also given for free in Book 3.

Lack of IVs

The lack of IVs due to being a Tempest Trials+ reward is always a downfall. Heroic Grails will alleviate merge issues, though she will always lack an asset for further specialization.
 

Horrible Physical Bulk

55 physical bulk will ensure Hot Springs Camilla will be OHKO’d by any archer. Likewise, the more powerful melee threats will likely outspeed her for doubles while causing immense damage.

Team Options

  • Fliers: Hot Springs Camilla works best on a flier team where she can receive powerful flier buffs that are desperately needed. Legendary Azura, Caeda, and Minerva complement her weakness well.

  • Tanky Frontliners:  A solid front line can help keep Hot Springs Camilla safe from physical threats. Zelgius, Surtr, Legendary Hector, Nowi, and Valter make great walls.

  • Legendary Hector: A special mention for Legendary Hector, whose Ostia's Pulse enables users of the Ouch Pouch and Quickened Pulse to start turn 1 with a readied 4 charge Special, should Ostia's Pulse requirements be met.

Counters

  • Physical Threats: Without Windsweep, Hot Springs Camilla should stay away from any physical attacker. Offensive threats will likely keep up with her in speed, while defensive walls will soak her mid-level attack and close in on subsequent turns.

  • Dragons: Most dragons will withstand Hot Springs Camilla's attacks and retaliate against her low Def stat. Camillas without Watersweep should find easier targets to attack and debilitate.

  • Tanky Raven Mages: Triangle Adept Raven mages are a hard counter to colorless units. Because these units can also run Daggerbreaker, Hot Springs Camilla will have a horrible matchup against these opponents.
