- Sacred Seal: Speed +3 / Attack +3
Skadi’s damage-dealing effect can be quite useful or utterly useless, depending on both the map and gamemode. With that said, 14 might and additional +3 Speed is pretty respectable for an offensive build. For players that insist on using this unique weapon, strong offensive skills go a long way in improving Takumi’s damage during the Player Phase.
Swift Sparrow is expensive, but easily the best A slot skill for Fallen Takumi. Without the ability to adjust his stats with a boon and bane, Takumi cherishes every extra point of Attack and Speed, making Swift Sparrow the best choice. Life and Death is the next best alternative, though the -5 to his defensive stats hurts his already unimpressive bulk.
The B slot is relatively flexible, but Desperation is recommended to avoid retaliation. Takumi’s defenses are poor, and his HP is just as bad. Avoiding attacks from enemy heroes during the Player Phase vastly improves Takumi’s usefulness as an offensive sweeper. Swordbreaker is a passable replacement to grant Takumi the upper-hand against most sword wielders.
As for Sacred Seals, Fallen Takumi wants anything that can bolster his offenses further. Speed +3 and Attack +3 are among the best options.

- Passive C: Threaten Def / Flexible

Takumi’s relatively standard offensive stat-line makes him decent user of a Firesweep Bow+. Though his middling attack stat and the lack of boon/bane puts a damper on his ceiling, his decent speed can make up for this if Takumi is able to make consistent follow-up attacks.
Swift Sparrow is the best A slot skill, as it provides a hefty boost to both attack and speed. Life and Death offers stronger offenses at the cost of defensive stats, so is only worth considering with a Firesweep Bow. Death Blow and Darting Blow are more budget alternatives. Cancel Affinity is the ideal B slot skill, as it allows him to beat his Raven-tome counters, though argument can also be made for any of the breaker skills so that Takumi can serve as a flexible Arena Assault hero. The C and S slot skills are relatively flexible. Both Threaten Def and Speed or Attack +3 are straight-forward choices to improve Takumi’s offensive capability.
For players opting to use a Brave Bow+ instead, the only major changes are his Special and B slot skills: provided Takumi can make four attacks, Luna is the best choice for his special skill. The extra damage can allow him to KO high defense units more easily, but Moonbow is a passable alternative if Takumi is failing to reach these thresholds. On the other hand, Desperation is more desirable in the B slot to protect Takumi from retaliation, as his middling defensive stats, poor HP and reduced Speed leaves him incredibly vulnerable to enemy attacks .
Introduction
Fallen Takumi is Takumi's third iteration, and arguably his weakest . He boasts a reasonable offensive stat-line identical to that of Clarisse: 31 Attack and 34 Speed. In fact, most of his stats are identical to Clarisse; as the only thing to set the two archers apart is Takumi’s extra four points of Resistance. This is especially true considering the fact that both heroes are Grand Hero Battle rewards, meaning neither can tweak their stats with a boon or bane.
With that said, Takumi also brings his unique bow Skadi to the table, which will be very familiar to players of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. With the ability to deal damage and neutralize the stats of enemy heroes in a column to the left or right of Takumi, Skadi can find some usefulness on maps where the enemy does not advance immediately. More importantly, it grants an extra +3 Speed in addition to its innate 14 Might, making it a reasonable choice offensive builds. Though Fallen Takumi feels a bit hollow without the ability to fine-tune his stats, he can serve as a decent enough offensive unit with a fun, unique weapon ability.
"Betrayal... Betrayal... I am betrayal..."
Takumi, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest
Strengths
Reasonably strong offensive stats
31/34 in Attack and Speed is nothing particularly new among archers, but it’s a strong stat-line nonetheless. Takumi’s high Speed means he can get decent mileage out of both a Firesweep Bow and a Slaying Bow. These stats also complement his unique weapon nicely: with Skadi, Takumi’s Level 40 stats sit at a respectable 45/37 in Attack and Speed.
Skadi
Arguably the greatest benefit granted by Skadi is the +3 Speed, which greatly improves Takumi’s offensive potential without needing to replace his weapon. The chip damage and panic effect on the third turn is noteworthy and can be very useful, but often-times it will be difficult to safely prolong a battle until the third turn, unless enemy heroes remain static until a hero enters their range. Despite the somewhat underwhelming effect, 14 Might and +3 Speed on a weapon is still relatively strong.
Passable bulk
37 HP, 25 Defense and 24 Resistance grant Takumi 62 physical soak and 61 magical soak. While these values aren’t exceptional, his strong Speed makes it more possible for Takumi to avoid follow-up attacks. This makes these defensive stats more noteworthy, as Fallen Takumi can avoid select OHKOs.
Weaknesses
No Boon/Bane Stats
One of Takumi’s biggest shortcomings is his inability to improve his offensive stats with a boon and bane. This makes him comparatively weaker to many common archers with similar stat spreads, including Jeorge, Klein, Virion, and Takumi: Wild Card.
Skadi’s effect is unreliable
Not only is Skadi difficult to use due to its “charge time” of three turns, but it will also find no value at all in the majority of Arena maps. Any situation where the enemy heroes are placed horizontally from Takumi will result in Skadi’s effect having no impact. In these scenarios, Skadi is little more than an upgrade over a refined Silver Bow+.
Heavy Competition from other Archers
Takumi faces stiff competition for a slot on a team, even for a F2P player. Though he is a direct upgrade over Clarisse, Fallen Takumi cannot hope to compete with Brave Lyn, Bride Cordelia, Halloween Jakob and more.
Team Options
Counters
Most heroes that Fallen Takumi cannot defeat in one round will likely KO him, especially if he's using a Brave Bow. Takumi's mediocre defensive stats and somewhat middling Attack stat mean that many bulky heroes can easily ignore Takumi's attacks and OHKO him with an attack of their own.
-
High Defense Heroes with Distant Counter: Many popular armored heroes such as Hector, Hector (LA), Brave Hector, Zelgius and Fallen Hardin can shrug off Takumi’s attacks with ease and KO him with a retaliation.
-
Dragon Heroes: Most manaketes and dragonstone heroes tend to have reasonably strong Defense, as well as the ability to counter at range. In addition, the popularity of the Quick Riposte skill on these heroes ensures that they can KO Takumi during the Player Phase. This makes Nowi, Fae, Adult Tiki and Fallen Robin some of Takumi’s strongest counters.

One of my favorite archers to use is Betrayal Takumi. The final boss of fates conquest. This build tends to make him build with more skill discoveries due to new seals.
For his weapon I prefer to keep Skadi since it’s his best bow. I don’t think he can make use of other bows cause there are better characters that run it well. Skadi’s effect is similar to the waves on the endgame of fates conquest. Foes within three columns of centered on Betrayal Takumi will suffer 10 damage and will have a panic status effect. The range of this move is at a vertical line. Imagine there’s a line going up and down in the middle of Betrayal Takumi, and two more on both sides of him. That is the range of the move. The main problem with this move is that it can be difficult to use on stages where you and and the enemy are facing horizontaly. Not only that but it only works on turn 3. After that Skadi becomes a plain bow. Though it can make a difference if used and positioned Betrayal Takumi well. Skadi also grants Betrayal Takumi +3 speed boost.
For his assist skill I prefer draw back to pull an ally with him.
For his special I replaced vengeance with luna. Vengeance is unreliable cause with it you would have to he at very low hp levels to get the most out of vengeance. Luna is better cause it pierces high def enemies much better compared to vengeance.
For his A skill I went for brazen atk/spd. Betrayal Takumi’s bulk is high enough for him to take a hit. Easily knocking him into brazen range.
For his B skill I prefer desperation. With it he’ll do a immediate follow up attack when he’s below 75%hp. It has good synergy with brazen skills.
For the C skill i’m going for his default spd smoke. A combination of brazen atk/spd and this spd debuff will give him more chances of doubling. Especially with spd buffs.
For the seal I am using the brazen atk/res seal. The atk boost will stack up with the A skill. Giving him a boost of 14 extra atk. I think Betrayal Takumi is a good user of the double brazen combo since his atk is meh at best.
Overall Betrayal Takumi is a pretty solid unit with a awesome bow. Although I find it hard using him in arena, where he shines are on ghbs and bhbs cause on them modes enemies don’t move until a unit enters there attack range. That can be used as a advantage for Betrayal Takumi as he can stall so that he reaches turn 3 for Skadi’s effects to activate. My only problem with Betrayal Takumi is his ghb cause it is insanely hard. Especially on infernal. He is merged +2. I wanted to make him +3 ever since his rerun but then I ended up making that one extra copy spd smoke fodder. I find it funny that he’s basically Clarisse but with 4 more res cause he and Clarisse have similar stats but Better Takumi has 4 more res and a personal weapon. Resulting in Betrayal Takumi being essentially Powercrept Clarisse. I will plan on making him my +10 ghb project with the heroic grails.

Skadi-Iconic Weapon, Interesting Ability.
Reposition-Helps Take Other Characters To Safety
Astra-Boosts Attack, And Attack Boosting Abilities, Especially One As Good As Astra, Is Really Good For Him.
Fury 3- Massive Stat Gains, This Along With Teaming Up With Bowcina And Having S Summoner Support Means He Has Really Good Stats All Around.
Desperation 3- Guarantees That Double Shot, Especially When Used With Fury
Savage Blow 3- Softens Up Enemies, Makes It Easy To Kill A Lot Of Characters At Once.
He's Also +3. I Use Him Alongside NY Azura, Sakura, And Bowcina (S Support). He Can Tank A Few Hits From Most Units, And His Speed Means Almost No One Can Double Him, Unless Using A Brave Weapon. Summoner Support Also Brings His Stats Up, Making Him A Beast When Used Alongside Teammates.

This set is meant to be a F2P player's ranged player phase nuke. (Dancers really help to keep this level of offense up, cos this set's about offense=best defense) This set works well with ranged units in general, but as this is about F2P and Takumi outclasses Clarrise pretty hard, this is his build:
Skadi with its innate +3 speed is quite useful and on that 3rd turn all hell breaks loose, which is actually quite useful if utilized correctly. Death Blow 3/4 can either one be used depending on the rng with your pulls and/or a player's CYL 2 choice and DB3 is a rather common skill. Both DB's really add a lot of damage on player phase and DB4 in tandem with Attack +3 seal can net some serious 1-2HKOS, effectively adding 11 to 22 more damage stacked with his already quite respectable 45 attack. Desperation 3, when Takumi's health gets low enough will give Skadi a Brave Bow esque ability, thus creating more pressure on offense. Threaten Defense can be used if you successfully baited your enemies near him helping Fallen Takumi do 16-32 MORE damage, of course playing rather nicely with Skadi at 45 attack. Add in Moon Bow which not only seems cannon for Fallen Takumi given his Skadi's appearance, but it procs a lot and really just cements him as a player phase monstrosity. This player phase nuke set is a poor mans bow and arrow Reinhardt-ish set up.

An offensive build that is similar to the normal version of Takumi, but with a faster-charging Special and the ability to debuff. Close Counter and Vantage synergize exceptionally well, and especially if Moonbow is charged.
