Speed is her best boon, being the best help towards her optimal Firesweep Build. Doubling foes is more important than hitting harder, as most of her damage comes in the second hit. However Attack is her second best choice, and just as good as Speed when it comes to Brave Lance builds. In comparison, the rest of her stats don’t matter at all.
Boons
- +SPD: Her most useful boon which gives her the most versatility. +SPD Cordelia can reach 38 Speed, which helps her to get Firesweep doubles or Brave Lance quads.
- +ATK: Her second best boon, +ATK makes her Brave weapon pack more of a punch with an additional 6 damage per initiation
Neutral
- DEF: Ideally, she should never take a hit from the enemy, which makes her already-low defenses worthless. However, if she must suffer an enemy attack, allowing her to keep neutral Defense would be in your best interests.
Banes
- -HP: HP is useless on Cordelia, as she does not want to be attacked. HP is worth offloading more then Defense in case she's ever attacked twice.
- -RES: Another stat that doesn't really matter much on her most effective builds.

- Passive C: Fortify Fliers / Ward Fliers / Goad Fliers
- Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse / Heavy Blade / Guidance
Cordelia's premiere offensive option is Firesweep. This is the set which allows her to quickly kill two enemy units in the very first turn, provided she can reach the enemy team (generally done through repositions). Unfortunately, the legendary '1 turn Galeforce' relies on Heavy Blade in her A slot and Quickened Pulse in her seal slot, meaning that a sacrificial Ike is in order if you want to unleash her full potential. If that kind of sacrifice is too much for you then your typical Life and Death or Swift Sparrow will perform just fine.
Heavy Blade is also dependent on her Attack, meaning that she's less likely to proc it at her base 50 attack. Therefore, this build should only be attempted if you have some way of increasing her Attack- be it through Support, Goad Fliers, Hone Fliers, merge levels, or even a basic Hone Attack.
Galeforce is reliant on 1 turn Galeforce procs- if you'd like more damage or are unwilling to give her a Heavy Blade A slot, then you may want to take a look at Moonbow instead. With Quickened Pulse, Moonbow will activate on her second attack for bonus damage. If you're going for more sustained fights then Heavy Blade as a seal might be more of an option, as it will allow Moonbow to activate on every other hit, rather than every third hit.
Ensuring doubles is absolutely vital for this build, and nothing helps her to ensure doubles like Chill Spd in her B slot, which reduces her fastest opponent's Speed by 7, essentially granting Cordelia +7 Speed every time she engages with the fastest opponent on the enemy team. For a more budget option, Cordelia can take Swordbreaker instead, since the units she has the most trouble doubling are sword units such as Ayra, Mia, and Hana. Hit and Run is an option to retreat if you're not using Galeforce- running Hit and Run with Galeforce is questionable as it positions you further away from the enemy team and limits your second-turn capabilities if you wanted to go on the offensive again.
Your choice of C slot is variable, though Cordelia absolutely does not need defensive buffs, so she's happy to freely give them out to her more tanky teammates in return for a valuable Hone or Goad fliers from them. Alternatively, you can stack Goad Fliers across your entire team for a large Atk/Spd boost.

- Passive B: Hit and Run / Chill Spd / Drag Back
- Passive C: Fortify Fliers / Ward Fliers / Goad Fliers
- Sacred Seal: Quickened Pulse / Heavy Blade / Speed +3
A slightly cheaper but still very effective set. Brave Cordelia can be built to attack 2x or 4x, depending on your IVs and flier buffs. If you're using a +ATK Cordelia, then Death Blow/Moonbow/Quickened Pulse gives consistent upfront damage, allowing her to dish out big numbers on her first attack. A Heavy Blade seal should be considered for more regular Moonbow procs if you have flier buffs or if you're confident in her Attack numbers (she will hit 52 Attack unbuffed with Death Blow, 58 Attack with Hone Fliers buff).
If using a +SPD Cordelia, then Life and Death/Luna/Speed+3 is also an option. This raises her Speed to a natural 41 with her Brave Lance, allowing her to quad most slower units and activate a guaranteed Luna. This only improves with flier buffs, as she'll be capable of reaching 47 Speed.
The rest of her set is similar to her Firesweep build in utility, as she can incorporate Chill Spd to try and ensure quad attacks, or simply utilize Hit and Run to retreat back into her team after she's finished off an enemy unit.

- Passive A: Swift Sparrow / Life and Death
- Passive B: Desperation
- Passive C: Fortify Fliers / Ward Fliers / Goad Fliers
- Sacred Seal: Heavy Blade
Cordelia is also capable of utilizing a Slaying Lance build for something of a pseudo-brave set in utility. The idea here is to knock Cordelia into Desperation range in her first engagement, and then for every initiation afterward, she attacks twice, proccing her Heavy Blade seal for Luna damage on every initiation that she can double and proc Heavy Blade.
She doesn't have a retreat option with this build, so it's up to her teammates to get her out if she dives into enemy range, but this set allows for her to push for high Speed, high damage engagements which ultimately do more damage than the previous two builds, albeit at the cost of some survivability.
Introduction
Cordelia has long been the benchmark for melee physical attackers. In a meta where offensive units have traditionally been ranged units, Cordelia stands as one of the exceptions, alongside her flying brethren. Being able to fly lets her enjoy unparalleled movement and easily-applied class buffs, which can further her utility as a player phase nuking unit.
Her Speed and Attack combined can allow for some ruthless combinations, particularly when swapping out her weapon- Cordelia can run a myriad of builds well, the most notable being her Firesweep set. However, she can also keep her native Brave Lance for potential quads, or pick up Slaying Lance, Deft Harpoon, or even utilize Slaying Spear or Ridersbane if you're having issues with armor or cavalry emblem.
While her defenses aren't stellar, her high Speed generally means that she only needs to take one hit per exchange- this hit can proc a favorable Desperation, which can allow for pseudo-brave weapon utility while maintaining higher damage and additional effects. And finally, it's impossible to discuss Cordelia without talking about her top tier Firesweep set- with this set, she can easily wipe two enemy units off the map in turn one.
Strengths
Stellar offensive stats
Cordelia is tied with Tana and Elincia for having the highest offensive spread in the game on a flier. 35/35 attack and Speed enable a number of builds on her, many of which incorporate high-Speed player phase nuking.
This allows her to cut through foes easily, even other blues, and she can apply free damage to high-Defense greens with her Firesweep set if you need assistance in taking them down.
Flying class and weapon type give her strong offensive options.
Being able to fly is huge for Cordelia. She can soar over water, forests and mountains. This gives her a lot of extra attacking opportunities that melee units don’t normally have.
It also means she can use Hit and Run more effectively, as it is very likely she will be able to retreat backwards. She can also make use of the powerful Firesweep Lance, and take advantage of Flying class buffs. Thanks to their unrestricted aerial movement, Flying class buffs are very easy to apply compared to others.
Weaknesses
Weak defenses
Cordelia has relatively poor defenses and is unsuitable for receiving attacks. Her kit is designed to kill an enemy unit before they can retaliate- and if she can't, she's in trouble.
If she wields a Firesweep Lance, she will be unable to counterattack at all. Cordelia will sometimes need support from allies in retreating post-combat. However, Hit and Run combined with her excellent mobility allow her to mitigate most of the problem.
All of this generally means that she's a poor Enemy Phase unit and will not be able to reliably tank for you.
Team Options
Counters
Cordelia is adept at handling many threats, but due to her poorer defensive stats and her reliance on Player Phase utility, it's easy to catch her off guard.
- Steady Breath Users: Particularly axe users, these, such as Brave Ike, Sheena and Amelia can survive her attacks with ease.
- Debuffers: Cordelia's lower defensive stats leads her to being debuffed by ploy users easily, particularly from Gunnthra, Lute, Arvis, and users who may equip Chill Spd.
- Archers: Bridal Cordelia, Halloween Jakob, and Brave Lyn are a menace as always, threatening KO's on Cordelia's low Defense.

Cordelia is a true powerhouse. With Neutral IV's shes sitting at an offence of 50/35 with a firesweep lance+, Add LaD and she sits at 55/40, absolutely monstrous. She best wields a spd boon, pushing her already high speed even higher to 43. A bane in Def is arguable the best for her as her defense is to low to power boost and she already weak to archers, I would recommend keeping her res as it gives her at least some protection from mages. However, with firesweep lance and drag back, you don't want to use her as a bait unit.
Firesweep lance+ along with LaD turns into a brave unit with 55 atk that cannot be countered, and reposition takes full advantage of her mobility.
Galeforce along with heavy blade allows Cordelia to take an extra action after only her second combat, allowing her to take out another hero or relocate to a better position.
Drag Back is the better option over Hit and Run, as for the few times Cordelia is not able to kill her opponent in one round of combat, she will drag them back with her to allow a range 2 unit to secure the kill. With Hit and Run, she body blocks anyone else from attack the damaged unit, allowing them to counterattack Cordelia on the enemy phase.
The C. slot depends on your team composition, guidance is best for mixed teams as it allows her to push ahead, secure a kill, pull back, and move your forces forward all in one action. This allows any unit that was adjacent to her to at the start of the turn to move 3 spaces.

Bird of Prey
Death Blow 3 along with an Attack boon makes Cordelia hit incredibly hard, potentially killing anything that isn't a strong defensive unit.
Hit and Run is to allow Cordelia to get away from those who survive her assault. If a refresher unit is nearby, they will be able to make her strike again and finish off her target.
Threaten Defense 3 is run to severely weaken opponents; even strong physical walls that aren't green will be taking a beating from her. If you want to keep her from getting killed off, Threaten Attack 3 can be run for surviving.
Thanks to the Tempest Trial releasing the Heavy Blade seal, Cordelia can either seriously nuke foes with Moonbow, get off a Galeforce to strike again, or fire off Astras with the use of refresher units as backup.

She should wield Fortify, since she doesn't need it. Her role is to attack and should not get hit at all since she is frail. Her ATK is so high she can do Quickened Pulse+Firesweep+Heavy Blade combo, to ensure a first attack Galeforce. She is expected to kill two targets at her first attack. She can even kill green tanks with full buffs. Should the situation isn't good for second kill, she can retreat to safety with Flier Formation.
