IV Sets
Key stats worth increasing through nature if possible.
Complementary stats that matter, but not to the point of picking them over key stats for nature increase.
Relatively worthless stat that can safely be decreased through nature.

  • A +Speed boon will raise Camilla's speed high enough to avoid a nice amount of doubles from the enemy.

  • +Attack can certainly be taken to deal more damage, though it is not too much of an important stat.

  • To fulfill Camilla's specific role as an anti-mage, -Defense is her most optimal IV to avoid tampering with her attack stat, already-bad HP stat, and speed stat.

    • Do note that a -Defense bane lowers its stat by 4.
  • Should one prefer to use Camilla not as an anti-mage but as a general fighter, -Resistance or -HP should be taken instead.

Skill Sets
Two Magical Shields (Emerald DC)
Emerald Axe+ A Distant Counter
Reposition B Guard 3
Budget: Drag Back
Iceberg C Def Ploy 3
Budget: Savage Blow 3
SP2,085SResistance +1

Show Explanation/Analysis
  • Preferred Nature: +Speed / -Defense, Neutral
  • Weapon: Emerald Axe+
  • Assist: Reposition
  • Special: Iceberg
  • A Slot: Distant Counter
  • B Slot: Guard / Drag Back / Quick Riposte
  • C Slot: Defense Ploy / Player's Choice
  • Sacred Seal: HP +3/ Squad Ace

An anti blue set capable of dealing with mages.

Emerald Axe+ is utilized to secure the kill on any and all blue unit, as well as taking advantage of Camilla's nice spread of defenses, despite the lowering of its stat with a -Defense bane. Should one prefer to take the least amount of damage as possible from both physical and magical blues, a neutral IV can be chosen instead.

Iceberg is Camilla's best offensive special due to her resistance stat over 30.

For the B slot, Guard is taken to avoid being cheesed by those pesky Moonbow + Quickened Pulse Reinhardts. On the other hand, Drag Back and Quick Riposte allow for either retreats and a better player phase, or a much stronger enemy phase.

The C slot is up to the player, really.

Comforting Lap (All-Rounded)

A Fury 3
Budget: Speed +3
Swap B Quick Riposte 3
Budget: Lancebreaker 3
Draconic Aura C Goad Fliers
Budget: Savage Blow 3
SP1,935SSpur Def 1

Show Explanation/Analysis
  • Preferred Nature: +Speed / -Resistance
  • Weapon: Slaying Axe+
  • Assist: Player's Choice
  • Special: Draconic Aura
  • A Slot: Fury
  • B Slot: Quick Riposte / Lancebreaker
  • C Slot: Goad Fliers / Player's Choice
  • Sacred Seal: Spur Defense

A more generalist set for Camilla, allowing her to deal with most that comes her way.

Fury is taken to alleviate her all-rounded stats into very-rounded ones. This also increases her speed, allowing her to deny a great many follow-ups.

Quick Riposte and Lancebreaker depend on the player. The former allows the bewitching beauty to follow up and kill very speedy units, but the latter lets Camilla deal with lance units herself in the player phase.

Two Big Swings (Brave Axe)
Brave Axe+ A Life and Death 3
Budget: Attack +3
Reposition B Drag Back
Luna C Savage Blow 3
SP1,250SAttack +1

Show Explanation/Analysis
  • Preferred Nature: +Attack / -Defense or -Resistance
  • Weapon: Brave Axe+
  • Assist: Player's Choice
  • Special: Luna
  • A Slot: Death Blow / Swift Sparrow / Life & Death
  • B Slot: Drag Back / Hit & Run
  • C Slot: Savage Blow / Player's Choice
  • Sacred Seal: Attack +1

A budget build for Camilla, keeping her default weapon.

This set is the basic Brave Weapon set.

Death Blow is used for more damage. Swift Sparrow on the other hand can be taken to utilize Camilla's nice speed. Life & Death for hyper offensive players.

Drag Back / Hit & Run allows players to retreat after an attack, since Brave sets are 99% player phase oriented.

  • One of the few high resistance green Fliers

  • Wields Savage Blow at 4 stars

  • Jack of all trades, master of none

  • Brave Axe+ is a bad option for Camilla due to her attack stat, recommending her weapon be switched and increasing feather investment

Camilla, the Bewitching Beauty, wields an axe and a wyvern to battle with her respectable speed and all-rounded stats.

Her resistance and status as a flier allows her to fill a very specific role in a team which can only be filled by none other than Narcian, and that is a Resistance-based Green Flier. In fact, she's one of the very few axe wielders with good resistance.

She does not sport any impressive stat (other than a specific area). She has enough speed to deny most follow-ups, not-terrible defense, nice resistance, O.K. attack, and "whatever" HP.

Unfortunately, not much else can be said about the doting sister.

Overall, Camilla fills a very specific role in a team, allowing her to check and mayhaps kill Reinhardt without effort. Thus, the Bewitching Beauty is a very good unit to have on your team if you seek her capabilities. Otherwise, she's a very "OK" unit.

  • Great resistance for an axe unit

    • With 31 base resistance, Camilla is 2nd place among the axe wielders in said stat.
  • Good speed

    • 32 speed is pretty good, allowing her to deny follow-ups from units in the 36 speed tier if they lack Darting Blow or Life & Death.
  • "Whatever" attack
    • 30 attack is right at the border of a tolerable attack stat, and her default weapon has terrible synergy with her attack stat.
Team Options

Camilla's rounded stats can (quite obviously) be strengthened with Flier Emblem buffs such as Goad Fliers and Hone Fliers.

Otherwise, her role as an axe-wielding anti-mage allows her to fulfill the role of units like Julia, and her melee range lets her bait lance wielders by default.

Since she utilizes the role of dealing with blue mages, it is possible to team-build with red mages:

It is not quite possible for Camilla to survive a Hector's Bonfire-charged attack, and must therefore rely on a physically bulky red unit to take the hit if encountered in the arena.

As for blue units that compliment Camilla, it is not often that you encounter a red mage in your arena run, making blue melee units a recommended role to fill.

Of course, high-defense blue mages can be used to deal with the Distant Counter Sword Lords Ike, Ryoma, and Xander.

Other than the very obvious bow units, Camilla's good defenses and nice speed means she does not have many.

Her counters other than red units and bow units can be:

In other words, Camilla's 28 defense stat makes her susceptible to the above units, and her low attack stat makes her unable to deal with some green units.

Of course, there is one final, yet not-quite-seen counter: Merric.
