Boon
- +ATK: This is Caeda's ideal boon, as it is a superboon and will allow her to reach a much more workable Attack stat of 29. Combined with the effectiveness of her weapon, a boon in Attack can drastically effect Caeda's matchups.
- +SPD: Caeda's Speed is already excellent, but a boon in Speed will allow her more freedom over doubling some of the faster threats in Arena.
Neutral
- RES: Caeda has a naturally high Resistance, which benefits her quite a bit when fighting with dragon units, mages, or using it for Ploys. It's best to leave it where it is.
- DEF: Caeda's Defense is low enough as it is, and lowering it further risks her being oneshot by armored units she supposedly counters. Still, she can take a bane in Defense if there's no other option.
Bane
-
-HP: While taking a bane in HP affects her overall bulk, Caeda doesn't have much other options- she wants her other stats far too much. With a bane in HP as opposed to Defense, she take overall less damage from multiple attacks.

Wing Sword grants Caeda a specialization in eliminating Cavalry/Armored units, and so this build aims to capitalize on that niche. Her unique Flashing Blade refine is the upgrade of choice, allowing her to frequently use her Special against opponents.
The choice of Special depends on your playstyle. Iceberg gives her more damage on her first initiation, with an additional 17 damage at neutral- assuming her Speed is high enough to double her opponent. Otherwise, Moonbow will be effective if she is within Desperation range, as it will activate every time she initiates (again, as long as she is faster than her opponent).
Fury is the the optimal choice with this set. Aside from appreciating the extra stats Fury grants, it allows her to enter Desperation range safely thanks to the recoil damage. The increase in Resistance also makes her more reliable in utilizing Ploy skills efficiently. If reliability is required, Swift Sparrow can be taken instead for the guaranteed offensive boosts.
As for B skill, Desperation is preferred above all else, as Caeda’s physical bulk is too fragile to realistically survive multiple engagements without some form of healing. Her C skill is based on whether you decide to field her in a flier team. Caeda’s native Fortify Fliers is perfect to provide her fliers with bulk, helping them tank powerful physical units such as lances that Caeda will inevitably struggle against. Outside of a Flier team, Spd Ploy is taken to ensure that she doubles her opponents, as well as providing more Flashing Blade charges.
Def Ploy should always be taken for her sacred seal slot. This helps patch up her poor Attack, and provides utility for other units to take advantage of. If being able to reliably land Ploys isn’t a feasible option, a simple Atk seal will suffice.

- Sacred Seal: Def Ploy / Distant Def
Taking advantage of Caeda’s excellent Resistance, this set aim to handle mages on top of the usual Cavalry/Armored enemies. This build is more reliant on Flier Emblem support to truly shine, but the payoff allows her to diversify the amount of units she can counter easily. Distant Counter is self explanatory, allowing Caeda to bait and kill mages on enemy phase. Iceberg is her preferred Special, as it will proc with Quick Riposte when combined with Caeda's natural Flashing Blade skill. However, Aether can also be taken to make her more sustainable, as repeated blows from mages will undoubtably wear her down over time.
As for B skill, Quick Riposte is the preferred special of choice, ensuring a follow up attack against speedy mages such as SM!Eirika. Guard is another option that will stop mages such as Ophelia, Reinhardt, and Lewyn from activating Specials that would otherwise do serious damage to her. This is additionally helpful against armored units who Caeda can hit with effective damage- however, be aware that Guard's high HP requirement makes it difficult to maintain.
To aid in tanking magical hits, Distant Def can be considered in her Sacred Seal slot. Otherwise Def Ploy is recommended once again to hit her foes harder if it manages to land.

Note that this is a build based purely around the current Arena mechanics, in which Caeda is designed to be a core member of a F2P (or minimal investment) player's high-scoring Arena team.
Because the current scoring method in the Arena utilizes Bonus Unit mechanics, where the bonus unit must obtain kills for additional score, many units who are built for ORKOs find that they are less viable for high scores because they 'take' kills from bonus units. In response, this Caeda build is wholly supportive, utilizing her strengths (high Resistance, Prf weapon) in order to assist her teammate in obtaining kills.
Caeda is now one of the units capable of scoring highest in the arena, due to her Wing Sword and ability to inherit R Duel Flying. With this, the imperative then becomes to give her skills that will continue to push her score cap higher, while still offering utility to her team. Rally Up Atk+ or Rally Spd/Def+ are both excellent options for her Assist slot, as both of these cap out at 400 SP, while also allowing her to buff her bonus unit teammate in order to secure kills.
In addition, because she already has a high Speed stat, she can utilize Chill Def in her B slot in order to further debuff her opponent. Caeda is still able to double her opponents despite not using Quick Riposte, though her sustainability will suffer somewhat due to not taking Desperation- in order to offset this, you can pick up Aether, which helps her to use her opponent's Defense against them and heal her back up.
Any of the Chill skills will work in her B slot, but be sure that you use one that has no overlap with her C and S slot Ploys. At +10, Caeda has 38 Resistance with which to Ploy her opponents, allowing her to land Ploys even against many +10 armored units. She can inherit Atk Ploy from Julius or Oliver, and Chill Def from Walhart, while Seals require no orbs to upgrade. Therefore, the only 5 star units you would need to summon for this build would be Laegjarn for R Duel Flying and a unit for a 400 SP Assist skill.
All in all, this Caeda will be able to debuff an opponent by -5/-5/-7/-0, while buffing her ally by +6 to Attack or to Speed and Defense. In addition, she can still utilize her effective weapon and above-average Speed and Resistance stats to counter dragons, armors, and cavaliers you may come across if necessary.
Introduction
While Caeda was once disregarded for her low Attack and Defense, a combination of her Wing Sword, armor meta, and a myriad of new dragons being released means that Caeda is finally seeing her time in the sun. Because she can deal effective damage against armored and cavalry units, has a high Resistance to deal with dragon units, and can equip R Duel Flying, she is now one of the most attractive options for f2p players to take into the Arena.
Caeda can utilize her Resistance for Ploys to make up for her shortcomings in other areas as well as to help out her team, and the Flashing Blade skill built into her Wing Sword increases her damage potential so that she can be an active participant in any battle.
While her exclusive weapon certainly gives Caeda a new lease on life, her old weaknesses continue to plague her. Her low Attack is still a glaring flaw, and persists against any foe that she isn’t hitting for effective damage. Physical bulk remains an issue, making her vulnerable against any strong physical blow. With that said Caeda has definitely emerged victorious from the new update, granting her an excellent niche that is relevant to the current arena metagame.
Strengths
Wing Sword
The weapon that currently defines Caeda, dealing effective damage against both armored and cavalry units.
The popularity of these two archetypes ensure that Wing Sword is extremely relevant in the Arena.
She also gets built in Flashing Blade, helping her to build her Specials much faster due to her high Speed stat.
Excellent Speed
Sitting at 37 speed at neutral, Caeda has no problem with outspeeding common units found in arena, especially after a Hone Flier buff.
This synergizes well with Wing Sword’s Flashing Blade refinement.
Great Resistance
Caeda has 34 Resistance at neutral, enabling her to be a fantastic Ploy user for your team.
The magical bulk also aids her in dueling mages, especially in a Distant Counter build.
Finally, she is excellent at dueling dragons, particularly the newer armored dragons that have dominated the arena meta.
Weaknesses
Low Physical Bulk
With a mediocre 24 Defense at base, Caeda will keel over against any bows or Brave weapons in general.
Her HP isn’t helping matters, making repeated melee encounters difficult without Desperation.
Low Attack
Her native attack at 25 is one of the lowest natural Attack stats in the game.
Fortunately, her Wing Sword's effectiveness against armor and dragon units helps to counteract this, but if she's not facing off against an opponent she has effectiveness against or if she does not have a Special charged, then Caeda will not be doing much damage at all.
Team Options
Counters
Any physical unit that isn’t cavalry, armored or green will pose some problems for her, but her biggest counters will ultimately be anyone wielding a bow.
- Archers: Units like Takumi, Klein, Halloween Niles, and Leon who have no problem shooting Caeda out from the sky, regardless of bow used.
- Bulky Blues: Blue units who can take Caeda’s attacks with ease, and finish her off easily in return are a threat to her, such as Nephenee, Tana, Shiro, and Lukas
- Brave Weapons: Units who can double her regardless of her Speed are lethal to her, such as Alm, Reinhardt, and Brave Lyn.

Here's a key to my explanation. Anything that is listed first means that it is the best option to go with. Anything listed last means you can use it if you only can inherit or get that skill/passive. Anything in between is okay. Unless noted, the first listed skill/passive is the best one to go with.
Also, ya probably want a 5 star Cadea as well as plus attack or speed. If she’s res plus then you could still do dis build, but it won’t be as good, since this build focuses on an offensive Cadea, and a minus def or hp. Cadea would be A DEMON if you + 10ed her, but, usually, people don’t do that unless their crazy or if they got infinite feathers and lots of Cadeas.
Weapon: Wing Sword, because it’s effective agasint armored and Calvary, and has a sweet flashing blade refinement. Firesweep sword because Cadea shouldn’t get hit due to her terrible def. (If you got Firesweep on Cadea, then you can also consider hit and run for her b slot.)
Assist: You can give Cadea repo or some other shit. I’m not that worried with the aisist.
Special: Cadea should have a 2 turn cool down skill like moonbow or glimmer. Both are perfectly fine, but only use glimmer if you have an attack plus Cadea. Otherwise, use moonbow. NOTE: Cadea will activate her skill every turn if she attacks with hier flashing blade refine.
A slot: Fury cuz she’ll get a lovely stat boost, swift sparrow so she can hit harder, death/darting blow so she can hit harder, tho not as good as swift sparrow.
B slot: Desperation because her fury gets her into desperation range, and then she’ll make an extra attack, and then hit and run if you have firesweep sword on her.
C slot: Not THAT worried about dis slot, but if u use a flier emblem team(like me), then u can put fortify on her, if not, then def. ploy or speed ploy, def ploy being a bit easier to get. If ya don’t got defense ploys to inherit, then there’s the def ploy seal you can craft.
Sacred Seal: Def ploy, speed ploy if there ever is one, or maybe a quick riposte or something that enhances her offensive.
Oh and crap I just realized I misspelled her name but whatever.

Caeda to me started off as a better Fir, since she had access to flier buffs while Fir didn't. When her personal weapon came out. I use her like crazy when dealing with horse units in arena. While she struggles to kill some armor units. She kills most of meta horse units. She is a must have due to her weapon being a flashing blade and able to counter most of meta horses.

Can-opener/horse-mincer caeda at your service! With a drop in resistance and buff to her attack as well as her naturally high speed on a offensive flyer team, caeda has no problem opening up enemy units with the use of Luna enabling her to score KO’s on even blue armors (unless they run wary fighter + sapphire lance and/or Triangle adept 3).
Fury in the A slot gives her a much needed buff to all stats for ploying, physical soak, raw damage, and additional speed as this build will be making use of all of these.
Hit and run is used in the B slot as caeda is STRICTLY a player phase unit due to her poor bulk and fury’s chip damage resulting in her not being able to weather much in terms of consecutive defensive combat engagements (if your using her for tanking, you’re using her the wrong way!) thus it’s important that she be able to engage, and retreat to safety after each engagement be it through this skill alone or with ally reposition assist if necessary.
Despite the drop in resistance it’s still high enough to reliably proc ploys on her targets. Due to her still lowish physical bulk we make use of attack ploy in the C slot to lower incoming damage from counter attacks as while she can kill blue armors too, she will need the ability to survive their counter attack in order to successfully double them them for the kill via Luna. Defense ploy is fairly self explanatory as if you’re running a ploy already you might as well run another that improves damage output as well as lowers the bonfire/Ignis damage put out by armored units.
Note that due to the use of these ploy skills extra attention needs to be placed on where Caeda is placed by the end of the turn so that she may appropriately ploy her targets for both increased damage and survivability. this is where hit and run’s serves a second purpose, as the ability to reliably move post engagement means she could enables her to be potentially played into the proper column/row to ploy her next target. Should you prefer less setup and more self sufficiency from your units, you can replace her seal slot with a defense+3 seal and a team goad/ward in the C slot based on team needs. Otherwise this build can also be carried over onto Clair.

+Atk is a better boon over +Spd, while her weapon's unique refinement encourages speed her +atk is a superboon which grants her +4 to her weak attack. her speed is quite high enough and the +4 boosts the effective damage from Wing Sword, letting her hit a bit harder against cavalry and armor units. Life and Death 3 grants her a large boost to her offense while forgoing her defensive stats entirely, but with the increase in speed Glimmer will proc in every combat she gets into as long as she can double her opponent and is very strong against cavalry and armor knights. Spd Smoke 3 aids her in that possibility, as once she attacks a target any foe within 2 spaces of her target are inflicted with -5 spd.
