Bridal Cordelia is one of the most infamous archers in the game due to her high Attack and Speed. These are her two most important stats, with Speed taking priority on her optimal Firesweep build, and Attack being better on the Brave set. Cordelia’s defenses are already low, particularly if using Life and Death. Her HP, Defense and Resistance largely do not matter since she should not be taking damage for any reason, as she cannot counterattack with her Firesweep Bow.
Boons
-
+ATK: Attack is Cordelia’s second best boon, and while it works best with her Brave Bow set, it’s good for both of her most popular builds. With her Brave Bow set, the extra Attack from an +ATK IV is multiplied as she hits many times.
-
+SPD: Speed is her best boon and strongest on her Firesweep Set. It helps ensure Cordelia doubles against faster foes and works in tandem with Chill Spd.
Neutral
-
HP: It’s not recommended to reduce HP since it affects both of Cordelia’s defenses.
Banes
-
-RES: She outright KO’s most mages without taking damage, making this stat mostly useless.
- -DEF: With her Firesweep set, she won’t be taking counter-attack damage. Defense is mostly useless, but a -DEF bane loses vs. Faye.

This set made Bridal Cordelia infamous, combining her awesome offensive stats with the ability to avoid all counterattacks. She is expensive to build, but packs a lot of power, and performs exceptionally well in nearly all cases. Truly, her and her Firesweep Bow are a match made in heaven. Both +Atk and +Spd can be used with this set, but it works better with +Spd.
Firesweep Bow is the most important part of this build, and cannot be substituted. Life and Death increases her offensive stats, and is preferred to Swift Sparrow as she cannot be counter-attacked on her defensive stats anyway. Quickened Pulse lets her fire a special off on her first attack, but can be replaced by a stat boost skill if necessary.
A two-turn Special is required: Both have similar performances, but Moonbow helps vs. high-Defense targets, the ones she generally struggles on. Chill Spd is also important: It gives her the ability to double and KO many of the faster units in the game who can survive one hit. Swordbreaker is the next best thing as many of them are sword-users. Cancel Affinity is for slaying Raven tome + Triangle Adept users, but is more of a niche pick.
Spd Smoke gives her many of the same effects as Chill Spd, but against other enemies. Smoke skills are great on her, but Hone skills are a good budget alternative. Her Assist skill depends on team-mates, but Reposition is a great catch-all. Rally Atk/Spd comes naturally on her, and is better for Blade tome users.

Sacred Seal: Attack +3 / Quickened Pulse
Her Brave Bow set is cheaper to build and still boasts an excellent matchup spread. She is very capable of quad attacking due to her high base Speed, and has the raw power to KO nearly anything that can’t counterattack her. Like her Firesweep Bow set, she works with both +Atk and +Spd boons, but does better with +Atk.
Swift Sparrow is the A slot skill of choice, as it gives her an offensive boost while maintaining her defenses. Death Blow and Fury are good alternatives that give her more upfront power or defensive merit. Attack +3 is the best Seal choice, giving her a total of 12 damage if she quad attacks. Quickened Pulse can be used with Moonbow to focus on one-attack burst. Draconic Aura is the strongest choice, and activates on every quad attack she performs. Luna is a decent alternative for beating high-defense tanks or units running Distant Defense.
Chill Def is excellent, increasing her damage output significantly, especially if she scores a quad-attack. Swordbreaker is the next best thing as many of them are sword users. Spd Smoke does the same thing for her, helping her to sweep through enemy teams. Her Assist skill depends on team-mates, but Reposition is a great catch-all. Rally Atk/Spd comes naturally on her, and is better for Blade tome users.
Introduction
Bridal Cordelia is a seasonal variant of Cordelia, a unit hailing from Fire Emblem Awakening. Cordelia does away with her pegasus in favor of a bow, and becomes one of the strongest archers in the game. Her role is all-out offensive attacker with no defensive merit, especially with her optimal Firesweep Bow set.
Just like her lance version, Bridal Cordelia has 35/35 Attack and Speed. This makes her an exceptional offensive unit capable of dealing high damage and doubling often. With her weapon of choice being the Firesweep Bow, she does not even fear counterattacks that might cripple other ranged attackers.
Despite her awesome strength, she is not cheap to build and requires rare skills like Chill Spd and Firesweep Bow to reach her peak potential. Most may not have the resources to build her to her fullest potential, but those that do can enjoy the power of an offensive unit with few real downsides.
Strengths
Incredible Attack and Speed.
Cordelia boasts stellar offensive stats at 35 Attack and Speed. She has long set the benchmark for physical and ranged attackers alike. High Speed is particularly important, as it enables her Firesweep Set to double-attack more foes. Cordelia works well with a boon in either of these stats, and with either her Firesweep or Brave sets.
Does not fear Distant Counter.
Being able to wield the Firesweep Bow means that Cordelia does not fear units that carry Distant Counter, a skill commonly seen in the Arena. While she cannot outright KO many of the tanks who run it, she can deal massive damage and lower their HP below important Guard, Quick Riposte, or Wary Fighter thresholds. Being able to avoid Distant Counter sets Bridal Cordelia in a tier above most mages and dagger-users.
Weaknesses
Meager defenses.
36 HP combined with 19/22 Defense and Resistance make Cordelia extremely frail. She is not unlike other ranged attackers in that regard, but unlike them she enjoys running Life and Death. Having a Firesweep Bow shortcuts her low defenses somewhat since foes cannot retaliate against her. She can require some team support to get her off the frontline once she's attacked.
Weak to many debuffing skills.
Low defenses do mean that Cordelia can easily fall prey to all of the targeted debuffs within the game. Panic Ploy exploits her low HP. Attack and Speed Ploy exploit her low Resistance to hamper her offenses. Chill Spd is very likely to hit Cordelia due to her high Speed. Worst of all is Gunnthra, who can completely cripple Cordelia with Chilling Seal.
Team Options
Counters
Bridal Cordelia is a special case, as she runs the Firesweep Bow, she can attack whoever she wishes without fear of counterattack. In this way, it can be said that she has no true counters. In reality though, she fears targets she can’t kill. Her list of counters is heavily dependent on skill choice.
-
Wary Fighter users: She can’t OHKO them, and will only charge their powerful specials for their turn. Effie, Zephiel, and Winter Chrom are three units that commonly run the skill, and can easily KO Bridal Cordelia the next round.
-
Steady Breath users: This skill is a nightmare for Bridal Cordelia, making it harder for her to KO units and easier for them to charge strong specials. Brave Ike is the most notable mention, as he’ll have an Aether ready for Cordelia next turn and Urvan to significantly reduce her damage. Dorcas, Corrin-F, and Adult Tiki are all common Steady Breath users.
- Debuffers: They target all of Bridal Cordelia’s relevant stats, and make it hard for her to sweep. Gunnthra utterly cripples her, but Hector, Bartre, and Arden can do the same with Panic Ploy. She must also avoid other Ploy skill users, such as Arvis and Lute.

This is B!Cordelia's exclusive player phase kit.
A +Spd is ideal if running Cancel Affinity and +Atk if running a Breaker skill for her B slot. If you're running L&D you honestly shouldn't be concerned with your bane too much.
Firesweep Bow allows her to attack without fear of retaliation unless she fails to ORKO her opponent. L&D serves to bolster her offenses while Cancel Affinity lets her effectively combat pesky Raven tome users. If your team has trouble handling a specific unit, B!Cordelia has the niche of being able to run whatever Breaker skill she wants due to being a colorless unit.
Whenever she isn't attacking she can act as support by buffing with her inherent Rally Atk/Spd assist. Fortify Def complements her default assist, and works quite well the Fortify Res Sacred Seal. You can also opt to run a positioning assist skill such as Draw Back with Threaten Def as her C skill.
Her special is ideally a 3 turn cooldown special which can be Luna (+Spd) or Draconic Aura (+Atk) depending on her boon. This is largely due to the fact that her cooldown has a static decrease property thanks to Firesweep Bow (meaning her cooldown will only decrease when she initiates, because if she is initiated upon, she will die). To put her special activation into perspective I've listed below the possible attack patterns Cordelia will have in 2 initiations:
1st initiation: Cordelia Attacks > Cordelia Doubles / 2nd initiation: Cordelia Attacks > Special Triggers
1st initiation : Cordelia Attacks / 2nd initiation: Cordelia Attacks > Cordelia Doubles; here her Special is ready to activate upon her next initiation
1st initiation: Cordelia Attacks / 2nd initiation: Cordelia Attacks ; here Cordelia fails to double twice and leaves her Special Cooldown at 1 allowing her to trigger it upon her next double attack.

Utilizing a Brave weapon build, BC can KO nearly any unit. While there are some matchups that can cause concern, most of the time they can be easily played around.
Life and Death gives a massive boost to your attack power, offsetting the speed reduction and low might from Brave Bow+. This leaves you with Cordelia's base speed stat, which unless you're running a negative speed nature will be quite high. This allows you to double most of the units that have distributed their stats towards armor and health, allowing them to withstand your first onslaught.
If you just have the two aforementioned skills, Cordelia becomes one of the most formidable units in the game, but we're not done yet because as her A passive suggests, she provides both healing and nuking.
Breath of Life is what I prefer for her C passive. Ally buffs are cool, and running a defensive buff to improve ally speed, def, or res as they peel for Cordelia can be helpful, but rarely game changing and requires even more effort to be placed on Cordelias positioning. Breath of Life allows you to use your tanks in a more aggressive manner, baiting one or two enemies into killing range of Cordelia, who quickly dispatches them, healing the tank for 7 or 10 points, depending on whether you're also using the breath of life seal (which I recommend). Having a dancer or singer nearby allows Cordelia to potentially double the amount of healing done, providing 14 or 20 points of healing, easily outclassing the damage mitigation that a def or res buff could provide.
In my opinion, Cordelia's B passive is her most flexible. It's not that it's unimportant, as it can be used to give her even more favorable matchups, it is just very situational, since most of the time Cordelia KO's without it. Desperation is the most useful combat related skill, allowing Cordelia to take on mages with a high defense stat. It also allows her to come out favorable in certain (but not all) Hector matches. Lancebreaker allows you to KO Effie by nullifying her Wary Fighter advantage. Swordbreaker and Axebreaker both just guarantee the 4x hit, but you generally don't need it against the units that are speedy enough for this to apply to. Vantage can be used in select matchups against ranged units, but requires significantly more planning because Cordelia doesn't have the defenses to survive a miscalculated engagement and doesn't get a double attack from Brave Bow+ when defending either.
If you're satisfied with Cordelia's KO capability, you can try giving her a movement passive, such as Wings of Mercy, allowing her to jump long distances and KO an enemy. However, I've found this is rarely as useful as is sounds since your tanks and support unit should be positioned near Cordelia and are likely equipped with a movement support skill to get Cordelia either to safety or into a position to eliminate danger.
The most important part about playing with BC is that you give her a team that enables her to shine. I've found the following formula to be very effective:
>Two Tanks - I prefer tanks that have enough defenses to avoid getting KO'd any unit who doesn't have weapon or color advantage on them. Keep the color advantage different for each tank. This will allow you a tank for every situation. I like dual dragonstone tanks (Ninian and Young Tiki), because BC can easily KO all the Falchion users and I prefer to have BC be my only source of physical damage.
>Support Unit - I like a mage for this role. Basically this is BC's intern, and just follows after her to provide buffs, Drag Back or Reposition or magical damage to quickly dispatch the handful of foes that are so stacked on def and hp that they could survive a round with BC. I currently have a Nino filling this role.

This build includes the stats of a Summoner S support rating. With this build, Cordelia can OHKO almost any unit in the game as well as kill an unmerged Hector without Desperation.
Brave Bow+ allows for Cordelia to attack most units four times, almost guaranteeing death.
Reciprocal Aid allows for Cordelia to get into the HP threshold of Desperation without tanking a hit. A Cordelia with 40 HP can opt for Ardent Sacrificed instead.
Luna is guaranteed to trigger on a quad attack and allows her to kill even the tankiest of units.
Life And Death 3 boosts her attack into extremely high ranges as well as boost her speed to levels where she can quad most units.
Desperation 3 allows her to attack threats safely when she quads without having to worry about a counterattack.
Threaten Spd 3 allows her to quad even more units.
Cordelia really benefits from a support unit, especially dancers. Giving her a +Spd seal allows her to quad even more units.
