Boon
- +ATK: A +ATK boon will always be a strong choice, regardless of build. However, it generally is outshone by +SPD with few exceptions.
- +SPD: Optimal for a Firesweep set to secure doubles or non-cavalry team applications, as it is possible to have overkill Speed. However, the situations where stacking Speed to overkill levels are increasingly rare due to average Speed tiers increasing over time.
Neutral
- RES: Best left at neutral. Boon is acceptable, but try to avoid a bane as it hurts her ability to potentially run Ploys if desired. It also hurts her magical bulk even more than a -HP bane, due to being a superbane (-4 to the stat).
Bane
- -DEF: Ideal due to Lyn’s safety versus Distant Counter units, but watch out for dragons with refined breath weapons. This is a non-issue if running a Firesweep Bow set.
- -HP: This is acceptable as most of Lyn’s defensive power comes from her ability to escape doubles, but not ideal as she loses some of her good magical bulk (63 neutral, 60 with -HP bane). This is less of an issue with a Firesweep Bow set, though she still retains some ability to tank magic damage even with a Firesweep Bow.

Brave Lyn’s entire base kit is spectacular, synergizing excellently with itself. Nothing needs to be changed in order for her to excel. However, a few variations can be utilized if desired.
Brave Bow+ can be used instead of Mulagir for superior offensive power, particularly outside of Arena. It works best when paired with horse buffs such as Hone Cavalry. However, Mulagir’s ability to nullify buffs on mages is extremely potent, particularly as it completely neuters Blade tome mages’ source of damage.
Sacae’s Blessing can be replaced by Desperation outside of arena, where units with Distant Counter are significantly less common, such as in the Tempest Trials. However, in arena, Sacae’s Blessing is incredibly strong, as it completely invalidates all Distant Counter units except dragons. Common threats like Hector, Black Knight, and Ryoma are neutered due to inability to counterattack.
Sacae’s Blessing is not foolproof, however. Dragons stand as one of the biggest counters to Brave Lyn, as not only are they unaffected by Sacae’s Blessing, their refined breaths are able to target Lyn’s weaker physical bulk, often resulting in Lyn dying in a single hit. Dragons also typically have high enough bulk to be able to withstand Lyn’s offensive pressure. Avoid them at all costs with Brave Lyn, if using this build.
Atk Smoke is her default C, and greatly aids Lyn’s survivability during Enemy Phase after she attacks by applying a massive Attack debuff on all nearby enemies, as her high Speed keeps her fairly safe from being doubled. Def Ploy is an alternative option that can be considered for even more damage on targets that get the debuff applied to them. If running Brave Lyn in a cavalry team, then a cavalry buff like Hone Cavalry is a good choice.
Attack+3 or Speed+3 are ideal Seals, while Quickened Pulse is an excellent choice when used along with Moonbow.

With weapon refining allowing dragons to target the lower of Defense/Resistance for ranged units, Brave Lyn no longer has the immunity to Distant Counter units that she once enjoyed. However, her Firesweep set still allows for her to flex her unparalleled mobility and offensive power to great effect.
The key to this build is Firesweep Bow, which prevents enemies from counterattacking. Most units will outright die to two hits from this, but even if they survive, they’re unable to retaliate.
Draconic Aura is her base Special, and it works well with this kit, being able to activate on every second combat that Lyn initiates, assuming she can double. Moonbow is an alternative option if paired with the Quickened Pulse Seal, as the 1 cooldown means that it will activate on the very first combat on a double.
Swift Sparrow synergizes with Firesweep Bow due to Firesweep only allowing Lyn to attack when she initiates. Attack and Speed are the key stats to this build. Life and Death is an alternative, granting an additional +1 Attack and Speed over Swift Sparrow, but be wary of the reduced bulk leaving Lyn vulnerable on to getting kill in one hit on Enemy Phase, as 48 physical bulk is extremely fragile.
As a ranged Firesweep user, Brave Lyn has significantly more options for her B slot due to not needing to run Hit and Run or Drag Back for more survivability. Her base Sacae's Blessing is also redundant with Firesweep Bow's ability to prevent counterattacks. Chill Spd is an incredibly powerful debuff that synergizes very well with this set, as securing doubles is extremely important. Alternatively, Cancel Affinity allows Brave Lyn to bypass the Triangle Adept/Raven tome set that is often run specifically to counter her.
Speed+3 is the best Seal, as it is very important that Lyn doubles while using the Firesweep Bow. Attack+3 is also acceptable, and Quickened Pulse is a strong option for turn 1 offense due to its synergy with Moonbow.
Introduction
As the very first cavalry archer unit, Brave Lyn set the bar extremely high. Her powerful offenses are supplemented by a unique B slot skill, Sacae’s Blessing, which singlehandedly invalidates all Distant Counter units barring dragons. With the introduction of weapon refining, Lyn’s dominance over the meta has dwindled somewhat, as increased defensive options have decreased her killing potential, while forged dragon breath weapons targeting her Defense means that she is very susceptible to them.
Overall, Lyn is by far one of, if not THE strongest unit in Fire Emblem Heroes. The combination of her incredible offensive stats (unmatched amongst archers once you account for horse buffs), incredible movement, and lack of true counter make her unique in her ability to single-handedly handle nearly every single threat in the game. If running her Firesweep/Cancel Affinity set, she is unmatched in her combined survivability and offensive prowess, even when compared to other archers, as her offensive spread of 33/35 Attack/Speed is the highest of all archers once you account for horse buffs. Lyn’s prf bow Mulagir gives her the ability to ignore buffs on enemy mages, which vastly improves her matchups against all of them, in addition to also providing a nice +3 Speed.
Strengths
Sacae's Blessing
Her unique skill, Sacae’s Blessing, completely invalidates all sword/lance/axe units with Distant Counter, allowing her to very safely engage them.
Powerful Offenses
Very strong offenses with 33/35 Attack/Speed, unrivaled compared to all other archers once horse buffs are taken into account, particularly with her Prf bow Mulagir.
Good Magical Bulk
Solid magical bulk of 63 which allows her to both bait mages and avoid being killed by them when initiating herself, especially if she is running Mulagir and can negate all buffs on enemy mages.
Cavalry
Being a cavalry unit means that she has unparalleled movement, and access to powerful horse buffs like Hone Cavalry.
Weaknesses
Weak Physical Bulk
Lyn has a low physical bulk of 53, which is normally mitigated by her high Speed, but she still is at risk of getting killed in a single hit by strong enemies, particularly strong player phase units like Brave weapon users.
- With weapon refining, dragons can now target Lyn’s lower physical bulk, leaving her very vulnerable to them.
Anti-Cavalry Weakness
Being a cavalry unit means she has an inherent weakness to anti-cavalry weapons, like Ridersbane and Wolf tomes, which can be particularly nasty now that they can be refined to ignore buffs.
Team Options
Counters
- Dragons: Tiki (Adult) and Nowi both have high physical bulk, and high enough Attack that they can potentially KO Lyn in a single hit in retaliation (assuming they have a refined breath weapon).
- Triangle Adept/Raven tome units: Robin(M), Merric, and Lyon can hard counter Brave Lyn thanks to the color advantage granted by a Raven tome boosted with Triangle Adept, but will lose the matchup if Lyn has Cancel Affinity.
- Extremely bulky mages: Sophia and Boey can forgo Triangle Adept and run a Raven tome along with Distant Def to counter even Cancel Affinity Lyn, though they still have issues fighting Firesweep Bow.
- Extremely high physical Defense: Brave Lyn is susceptible to being walled by units with exceptional Defense, so units like Lukas, Draug, and Sheena can be useful in a pinch. Keep in mind that they won't be able to counterattack (even with Distant Counter) if Lyn is running either Sacae's Blessing or Firesweep Bow.
- Archers and Dagger units with high Defense: Leon, Saizo, and New Year Corrin can run Bowbreaker to nullify Lyn’s Speed advantage and kill her in return.
- Anti-Cavalry Weapons: These will completely demolish Lyn, and most other horse units for that matter. Wolf tomes are the most consistent as they not affected by Sacae's Blessing. Ridersbane and Zanbato can garner similar results, but with additional difficulty due to being melee weapons. Any anti-cavalry unit with the refine to ignore buffs (like Hone and Fortify) will work excellently.

I literally took her out of the box (near mint condition) and there you go.
Maybe she'll be Brave if Gordin wants to save Klein. Until then, she sits in wait and provides the other horsies more attack and speed and determination.

IV's: +Atk -Def OR +Spd -Def (the ladder is being shown but be aware that a +Speed Lyn can do this just as well if not better than +Atk Lyn)
With the new introduction of Summoner's support, I naturally chose the best grill I could find. Lyn with maxed out support from you, her brand new lov- companion, you can now give her a brand spanking new Fury 3 to go along with Life and Death 3, which also brings up Lyn's HP to 40. Truly astounding if I'm being honest. Life and Death 3 essentially becomes an extremely modest Life and Death 1, only taking away 2 Def and Res as opposed to 5 (That is with max support). On top of this, If you can also max out Lyn's support with great covers, such as Xander, Camus, Spring Camilla (I'm just giving away my arena team at this point), etc. By doing this you can give Lyn an extra 2 points in every stat aside from HP if the ally she has S support with is adjacent to her when combat is initiated.

The glass cannon we wanted. She would have an outstanding performance with only a hone cavalry boost. Making her reach 46 attack and 44 speed. She could be useful in arena paired with Reinhardt. Luna would make the job easier and while moonbow and quickened pulse should do it as well you can reserve that to reinhardt. She could give an arena defense with a singer/dancer as well.

Get her on a horse emblem so she can hit pretty hard. (Use hone cavalry because of the +6 spd/atk) She can lose 10 hp to ardent sacrifice getting her to vantage range, then you can attack something and if she doesnt kill, attack then let them come to you and because of close counter and vantage she will attack first and finish the enemy off.

The Classic Quad Bow Build but on a horse.
The two big thinks that this unit has that makes her the best user of this set is her massive range and access to cavalry boosts.
While B! Corderlia can gets the plus 4 attack or speed from any unit that has it, Brave Lyn can get a massive plus 6 to speed and attack from one cavalry unit that has it. Plus Goad cav can stack on her if it's in range also adding plus 4 to speed and attack.
Lyn is a player phase monster quading anything that moves.Swift Sparrow coming in already is probably her best option for cav teams.
Sacae's Blessing allows Lyn to either outright kill Distant counter units or get very good chip damage on them safely.
Hone Cav is here to support other cav units, it's pretty good to since you've probably do reposition or draw back on her to safety.
I think Moonbow is great here because of it's uptime. You can reliably have it up since you'll be quading a lot of units. You have a good chance of getting two moonbows if you have the special up on the start of the turn. Can be replaced by Draconic Aura or Luna and you'll be fine
