For brave sword go +atk if merging and changing the weapon and kit up id go +spd for the long run

On the contrary, its a little bit more complicated than that. If you want to build a quad build with Brave Sword, then +Spd is better. +Spd is just more versatile than +Atk, since +Atk is always good, +Spd will score those extra doubles if you use a different sword, or those quads with a brave sword.
