Why Distant Defense instead of something that could help him tank melee, or deal more damage? Just curious.

Well close defense and water breath bring his melee defense up 10 already, and distant d does the same. Luna is his offensive niche if he's attacked he'll drop their defenses on special.

I kinda wanted to make him an annoying support and also considered putting a drive on C slot but threatens also support the overall team.

I can't decide what A skill would be ideal for offensive brawls though. His defenses are already high so a Swift Sparrow or death blow?

Guess it depends. He has the speed to double, and the defense to survive, so the only thing I can say is to go with what you prefer. Swift Sparrow is kinda rare while Death Blow is fairly easy to come by.

Here's another Idea, you could also change Aether out for Ignis/Glacies

Gets one less Def/Res and -2 atk but it opens up his Seal for Darting Stance to help pervent/Double units

Oh if had an extra fort res/def I'd go for it and do a +def light or dark breath to be more threatening, but I already have a really similar build with the fort resdef and darting stance on a main sword unit of mine.

Also atk and spd debuffs are my focus because everyone generally benefits off of those unless I'm focus cheerleading. I'll definitely try the ignis/glacies too. Thanks

Chill Res can help mage's kill high Res units just as well as a Chill Spd, some mage's with really high atk tend to have low spd, then again it's the same with high Res Mage's having low spd, but since it's easy to make a slow unit fast chill spd could help score/pervent doubles, but if you aren't running a setup like that chill Res would help better since your Mage will be doing more damage, also chill Res can help Kana out against high Res melee units

If you're going up against an armor emblem the only thing chill spd would hit is H.Niles.... jk their are few speedy armor units but it doesn't matter since 90% of them just uses Bold fighter anyways, but yah Chill Red would help more against armor emblem than chill spd, nothing is worse than running into someone like Sheena and not being able to do anything with your mages because her res is so high

If you want him to kill I'd go for a breath skill, but if the point is arena cheer-leading I think it works fine.
