Dumb fantasies a.k.a. non-FE characters in FEH

Report

Answers

Hmm.... interesting and cool idea. If that's the case, I choose Erza from Fairy Tail. Her moveset? Everything... she has everything. Movement? Infantry... maybe flier, she can glide with certain armor. Alternative unit? IS will farm that to death

Report

Lol, this is exactly what I meant when I said, that some characters would be difficult to implement into the whole FEH rule system, seeing that she's obviously some kind of overpowered super-human. But hey, at least this is the first time I looked into something about Fairy Tail. Thanks for the contribution!

Report

OMG I want her now

She’d be the first stance switch unit with her requip. She can even move her stats around based on her stance. Though she’d keep her original infantry bst of 160ish and would have to make a generalist build. Her samurai/standard infantry, cheetah for horse, armored shield for armor, and heaven wheel for flying. I’m in love with this idea even though it’d kill the game. She is a queen

Report

But really, I'd say Leonardo Watch from Kekkai Sensen.

Leonardo Watch "All-Seeing-Eyes-of-God"
Infantry; Blue Tome (BST 154)
Hp: 33
Atk: 32
Spd: 25
Def: 31
Res:33
Weapon: All-Seeing-Eyes-of-God (14 Mt); Unit can counterattack regardless the foes range. If the unit is at 100% hp and is in combat, reduce the enemy atk/spd/def/res by 5 and gain 5 atk/spd/def/res. If unit initiates combat, deal 6 damage to unit.
Assist: Null Defense/Resistance; Grants an ally the following effect, "When the unit is in combat, nullify the foes defense and resistance bonuses"
Special: Perception; After combat, all foes' bonuses will turn into debuffs.
A Skill: Def/Res Bond; If unit is adjacent to an ally, grant +5 Def/Res.
B Skill: Brash Assault; If unit's hp is less than 50% and the unit initiates, unit us guaranteed to make a follow-up.
C Skill: Atk/Spd Smoke; If the unit attacks during combat, inflict -5 Atk/Spd to the enemy and foes within 2 spaces.

The whole point of this is to make Leonardo into a mage tank/support. I might have given him too much damage, but his role is to help his teammates get through the mission of breaking the enemy's line of defense by debuffing them, and turning their buffs into debuffs.
His weapon, The-All-Seeing-Eyes-of-God, will allow him to see what his enemies are charging at him with while preparing himself for the attack, that is, if he isn't hurt or his "eyes" are damaged.
His assist skill just gives him the support role of giving his allies an idea of the enemies' weakness when they're buffed up, so essentially negating those defensive buffs.
His special is meant also meant to support his allies by debuffing/panic ploying every enemy (much like Marth's Fire Emblem, but for enemies). Even though it's useless if there are no active buffs (Goad and Ward are free against this), it still is potent, so there is a risk of running it or not.
His A-skill is meant for being supported by his allies too, because he's never alone, and will fight if they are too!!
His B-skill is his motto of never turning back, or backing out of his problems, so he rushes back in to fight.
His C-Skill is due to the fact that he can manipulate and disrupt his enemies' sights, so they're physically at a disadvantage.

The whole intention of how he battles is that he takes on a fight or two, but then let's his allies take care of the rest. Leonardo stands by his allies to analyze the situation and takes a hit, but his allies will be there to clean up after he prepares it all.

Report

His weapon is like Ragnarok on crack, it's awesome. I looked at the summary of the Kekkai Sensen anime and it actually sounds kind of cool. I might give it a watch once I find some time for it.

Report

Yeah, I also just realized that I gave him way too much damage LOL. His combat debuffs and buffs are a bit too much for a mage/support/tank.

Report

Lol yeah, he is insanely powerful in this version that you suggested, but if he's powerful in his original series, it's only appropriate that he should be powerful in FEH as well.

Report

Archer and Saber from Fate would be neat. And they would kinda fit in the game.

But a more serious one, some nintendo characters like a Link (master sword) would be neat.

Report

Other Nintendo characters would be interesting. I once wondered if IS/Nintendo would find it appropriate to release a seasonal banner with other Nintendo characters as a celebration when the next Smash bros. game releases.

Report

Yeah, I saw some fanart of characters in the style of fire emblem classes, like a warrior Donkey Kong, fire mage Mario, heavy knight Meta Knight.
I feel like there are a lot of options, and it'd be pretty smart for marketing

Report

That sounds awesome. I'll have to look that up.

It would definitely be smart from them. Easily promoting their other popular franchise and possibly bringing the more casual gamers into a different type of game. It wouldn't really cost them anything since Nintendo owns all the licenses. Also, it is loosely connected to FE at least a little bit, since it's just a big Nintendo mashup.

Report

This came to mind immediately because Zelgius is not quite the same thing, but ofc is sorta similarly named in one alias:

Dark Knight (Sword / Armor)
39/39/31/31/39

Sword: Brave Gauntlet (Mt 17) - Inflicts Atk/Spd-6. Unit attacks twice. (Even if attacked, unit attacks twice.)

Special: Bat Range - Before combat the foe initiates, grants unit "Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range or skills and can counterattack before foe’s first attack" during combat. (500 SP)

A: Life and Death 4 (300 SP)

B: Bold Hero - If unit initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. Grants Special cooldown charge +1 per attack. (Does not stack.) At start of turn, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-? on foe on the enemy team with the highest Spd through its next action. ? = highest innate penalty on each of unit's stats (from seals and skills like Fortress Res, Life and Death, etc.). Calculates each stat penalty independently. (350 SP)

(The "Brave" and "Bold" references are obligatory. The 39's that appear in its stats are because Batman debuted in 1939. Mechanically, he sort of works like my Vaida, benefitting from "innate" stat changes, albeit he works oppositely from Vaida in that he derives a secondary benefit from innate penalties instead.

I had posted Vaida here: https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/q-a/got-build-concepts-characters-not-heroes-yet

The Brave weapon is Swordhardt's with added synchronicity with the Bold Hero skill, but ultimately subtracts 1 more speed from B!Batman.

His stat total is Zelgius's +5, because why not. His Bold Hero skill is 350 SP, like B!Hector's Ostian Counter.)

Report

I'm sure the art would be cooler than this.

But in making the character, I did come up with his title, "Vengeant Night" - goes with his infamous "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman!" bit.

Naturally, one of his dialogues when tapping him would be "Why did you say that name!?"

Report

I will be a bit freak here but I will add Memma from Anohana to FEH:
She is not even a fighter but who cares. She will work like a full SUPPORT hero, focusing on Heal and Buff allies, specially the support parner.

Menma, Friendship Flower. Infantry staff user.
Hp: 30
Atk: 29
Spd: 38
Def: 15
Res: 34

WEAPON: Menma Diary - 10 mt
After healing an ally, Menma Diary heals another 20 HP to every ally. Every time unit heals an ally, accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1, it does not stack with other skills). Exclusive skill to original unit.

ASSIST: Wishes+
Restores HP = 50% of Atk +10. When healing an ally with a staff, restores HP to unit = HP restored to target. Exclusive skill to original unit.

SPECIAL: Resurrection (6).
If unit dies, unit will reappear with full hp on the same place with 100% HP. Exclusive skill to original unit.

SKILL A:
Def/Res bond 3

SKILL B:
---

SKILL C: Super Peace Busters.
At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to a support parner, grants Atk/Def/Spd/Res +5 to unit and adjacent support parner for 1 turn. Grants Atk/Def/Spd/Res +3 to support parner within 2 spaces during combat. Exclusive skill to original unit.

What do you think? She is pretty bad fighting, but good on her support rol.

Report

I like the ressurection mechanic on a support healer like this. It would make her difficult to deal with even though she's relatively easy to kill the first time.

I wonder if there is someone in FE, who could actually wield a ressurection spell or something like that.

Report

I can’t think of one that fits the setting but I’m gonna be adding paired units to the game. First Zatch from Zatch Bell to add onto unique OP characters. He’ll be the dual paired unit with Kiyo. His weapon will be unique in that it will be a red tone with brazen all +4, miracle, and also a wrath on it since that’s pretty much their character. We one shot bitches.
Infantry
35hp
40atk
35spd
20def
25res
Assist: Helping Hand (takes hit regardless of who was attacked)
Special:Astra
ASlot:attack/spd bond 3
BSlot:wrath 3

Second is another dual pair Maka/Soul
They will have a lower bst of 145. However when they get kills they get a +4 to all of their stats. The weapon(Soul) will be a colorless axe unit with 16mt +3spd, gain +4 to all stats per unit killed, fury3
40hp
33atk
27spd
22def
22res
Special:moonbow
ASlot:fury3
BSlot:desperation3
CSlot:mind/body/soul (+6 atk to all when below 80%)

This was fun

Report

I'm not really familiar with Zatch bell, but it's basically two characters, who would be considered in-game as one unit? Basically like Stands in JoJo? It would be really cool in terms of artwork to see in FEH.

Report

Yeah it would be like that with Zatch most likely in front rather than to the side of kiyo. He has this signature two fingers point as the direction he wants Zatch to shot in because he’s blind when he attacks.

Maka/Soul are kind of a dual pair even though Soul is the weapon. I figured he’d have at least one artwork in human form with Maka though. And the interactions between both of them for their lines would be fantastic :)

Report

That sounds super hype! The interaction between Zatch and Kiyo especially must be interesting seeing that one of them is blind when attacking. Now that's yet another series that I'll have to look up eventually...Feels bad that there are so many awesome series but so little time to watch/read them all.

Report

It’s an older one but still watchable. The story has 3 phases I had to go through to finish it. First eng dub. Then at some point only he sub is available. And then near the end only the manga finished the story. So good luck to you fellow anime watcher 🙋‍♂️

Report

I already posted, but lemme give a build

Archer Emiya (red archer)
Caladbolg II
+3 atk
When initiating combat, unit deals 10 damage and -5 def before combat
Unit can't use specials when initiating combat

-

Glimmer

Kashou & Bakuya
Unit can counterattack regardless of range
Gain +3 atk/spd/def when the enemy initiates combat
Vantage
Odd spd wave

Stats:
Hp 35
Atk 30
Spd 36
Def 24
Res 28
(bst 153)

With an added special bonus of him using swords in his animation when a melee enemy attacks him.

edit:
Did a little adjusting with the stats.
And I thought of a cool special idea

Unlimited Blade Works:
3CD
Ignores 30% of foe's def/res
Adds two highest buffs to damage.

A combo moonbow&bladetome effect
Because blades.

Man I was literally just thinking about these the past few days because I've been rewatching playthroughs of Tales of the Abyss hahaha (I finished the game 2 times myself)
I thought Tear would be an interesting refresher unit using daggers, here's my thoughts on her:

Tear: Mysterious Melodist
Type: Colourless infantry dagger
HP: 33
Atk: 20
Spd: 34
Def: 19
Res: 34
BST: 140

Weapon: Tear's knife - 14mt (Prf weapon)
During combat, boosts unit's Atk/Spd by number of adjacent allies spaces × 2 .After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts Def/Res-7 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions.
Assist: Sing
A: -
B: Holy Song - When sing/dance is used, restores 5HP and grant Def/Res+4 to all allies within 2 spaces of user. (Prf skill)
C: Breath of Life 3

She's a healer in her native game, so I gave her more healing skills and an owl dagger to sort of synergize with BoL3, but ideally she wouldn't really want to see combat anyway. Was gonna call her B skill Grand Fonic Hymn, but she has a move called Holy Song which heals and buff allies, and it's the 3rd fonic hymn so I guess that's fine haha

Would love to see some non-nintendo characters in FEH honestly, but we all know that's never happening so I can dream~

Report

Man, I love the Tales series. Feels bad that I literally have no time to finish Tales of Berseria. Love the characters in that one...especially the extremely edgy protagonist (Velvet). And yeah, it's only a dream, that non-FE characters could be implemented in FEH, but I find it entertaining to try and implement them into it, based on the knowledge that we have.

I really like the idea for Tear, she's an awesome character.

Report

Haha thank you! I love the Tales series a lot too, couldn't finish Berseria myself too bc the PS4 isn't with me so I made do with watching playthroughs lolol. Velvet is so cool!

Is it ok if I posted my ideas for the other abyss characters? It's been on my mind for a few days now and I thought it would be fun to share ^^;;

Report

I have no problems with that. Feel free to post the other ideas if you want to, I'll definitely look through them, Abyss is probably my favorite in the series.

Report

Thank you! And also nice, Abyss is definitely one of my favourites too :)

Here's some more ideas, since Luke is technically the "Lord" of the game I figure he would fit too!

Luke: Scion of Lorelei
Type: Red infantry sword
HP: 40
Atk: 36
Spd: 24
Def: 35
Res: 27
BST: 162

Weapon: Key of Lorelei - 16mt (Prf weapon)
Def+3. Restores 10HP and special cooldown -1 at the start of every second turn.
Assist: Pivot
Special: Lost fon drive (4 turn CD, prf special)
Resolve combat as if foe suffered Def/Res -30% + boost damage dealt by 40% of unit's Def.
A: Fury
B: -
C: Infantry rush

A slow, tanky sword user with a legendary weapon and a personal special. The effect on Key of Lorelei is a reference to the effect of Jewel of Lorelei, which periodically restores HP and TP in battle. Pivot because he wants to sack himself to protecc his friends, and his special...I wanted to come up with a weird special and ended up with that. Fury because he's pretty reckless and infantry rush to support his teammates.

--------

Gonna do Anise too since I quite like her in the game :P

Anise: Fon Master Guardian
Type: Green armour tome
HP: 45
Atk: 36
Spd: 22
Def: 35
Res: 27
BST: 165

Weapon: Hammer of Light - 14mt (Prf weapon)
Can counter regardless of range. If foe's range=1, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res.
Assist: -
Special: Bonfire
A: Final Fury (prf skill)
Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4. Unit takes 3 damage after combat.
B: Bold Fighter
C: -

Armoured mage, I imagine her sprite would have her riding on top of Tokunaga! A bulky armoured mage, with high HP and Def, but pretty low speed which would probably be a superbane lol. Her superboon might be Res or Def I guess. Hammer of Light's effect is adaptive damage but to physical units bc adaptive damage on range units would probably make her too strong. Bonfire to utilize her amazing defense stat, and also because she can deliver the burns in her native game..Final Fury could've been a special to reflect that it was her mystic arte, but nah I want a powercrept Fury :9 Bold fighter for dual phase (though QR wouldn't synergize well with her A skill), but lacks a C skill and assist skill bc I wanna try making these units missing with skills like units in FEH tend to have xD (but it seems like its getting lesser and lesser now)

"Feel the hammer of light, Limited!"

Report

Love the idea for Anise. She's also a favorite of mine. Honestly, I think that their skills would actually be relatively balanced in FEH nowadays, I could definitely see heroes with similar skillsets. Good job!

Report

I don't know why I was thinking of Code Geass when I read this post, but here is my take on a fantasy unit:

Lelouch vi Britannia: "Zero" (Infantry Red Mage)

(BST: 151)
HP: 34
Atk: 32
Spd: 31
Def: 22
Res: 32

Weapon: Geass (14 Mt.) - Grants Res+3. Grants bonus to unit's Atk equal to half of total penalties on foe during combat. If unit's Res ≥ foe's Res+1, foe cannot make a follow-up attack.
Assist: -
Special: Zero Requiem (CD: 2) - Boosts damage dealt by 40% of unit's Res. Inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-6 to target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions.

A: -
B: Special Spiral 3
C: Order of the Black Knights - At start of turn, all foes in cardinal directions with Res 1 less than unit are prevented from moving more than 1 space and have their bonuses converted into penalties until the end of foe's next action.

It's been a long while since I last saw Code Geass, but I remember Lelouch being a genius tactician that was quite capable of manipulating those around him to achieve his goals. I figured a kit like this would fit him seeing as it is all about debuffing the enemies and taking advantage of their weaknesses--kinda like what Gunnthra does. (Also, some of these names and terms from the show sound cool.)

Report

Lelouch is an absolute god. I like that you managed to somehow implement his strategic genius into his C-skill, which makes it really difficult for the enemy to move properly. Still feel sad about Zero Requiem (Lelouch's final plan) tho, which was one of the scenes in anime that made me really sad. Can't wait for the inevitable third season!

Report

Damn, hasn't it been 10 years or so since Code Geass ended? I also remember hearing about an eventual third season, but I don't know why it's not out yet.

Report

The third season has been announced sometime in 2016 I think, but there have been no significant news about a release date. People are speculating about something happening by the end of the year, but it's only a speculation based on release gaps between the three movies that were supposed to accompany the new season's release.

Report

I love the fact that hhe seems pretty hard to use well, right timing with the special and good placing for the ploy.

But he seems great.

I would maybe give him a bit less hp and def, and more res.
Like 32 hp, 19 def and 37 res.

Because it's kinda a meme he's physicly even weaker than normal school girls in dresses and high heels.

Report

Second one:

Aang
Staff / Flying

*Very importantly, Aang has LOCKED Assist and Special slots. In battle Aang has a special Assist that moves the target as many unimpeded spaces forward as possible.

42/31/40/21/14

Staff: Pacifist Staff (Mt 14) - Grants Spd+3. Neutralizes foe's "effective against flying" bonuses. Reduces all damage by 50% x (unit's Spd x foe's level / 40). Unit deals total damage after combat instead of attacking during combat. Accelerates unit's and foe's special charge+1.

A: Evasive Stance - If foe initiates combat, grants Spd/Def/Res+3 during combat.

B: Pacifist Victory? - ?? (I'm thinking this skill would remove a foe(s?) from the battlefield if they have 1 HP at the end of a turn.)

C: Air Run - Unit can move 3 spaces during action if moving over unimpeded spaces.

Report

That sounds really cool. The only question is: could you guide us through the weapon's dmg reduction ability? My extremely basic math skills tell me, that the dmg reduction will easily be over 2000%, considering that the "X" symbol means multiplication.

This thread is most likely dead, since it's a bit old now, but I'd like to thank everybody who found the time to contribute to this thread. It definitely helped me get through today's awful day at work and I hope that you also enjoyed it. It's nice to see that people here are not only connected by FE, but that we also share passion towards other franchises!

Link: Evil’s Bane
Sword Infantry
Weapon: Master Sword 16MT with DC
“If unit has 100% hp, unit can attack at 1-2 range(Blade Beam). If unit didn’t attack for 1 turn, next turn unit can attack at 1-2 range(skyward strike).”

Special- Fatal Blow “Boost Damage by 50% of damage the opponent has taken” 3 CD
Assist- Swap
A- Swift Sparrow
B- Hero’s Duty- If unit is below 30% Health, unit attacks first and follow up attack if possible before enemy attacks.
C- Triforce of Courage- Grant Atk and spd +4 at start of turn for 1 turn to unit and adjacent ally.

Hp-20(20 hearts max in game)
Atk- 40
Sp- 40
Def- 50
Res- 13

Link has high defenses because he has a shield. 20 health because he has only 20 max hearts in games. Low res because he needs one low stat and I can’t think of why link would be slow or weak. Swap because he likes to protect people. Fatal blow because he have to weaken the main bosses in game before using this final moves and it is his most used move to kill in 3D Zelda games.

Report

Hero's duty would be an awesome skill in FEH. I wonder if it would be too broken or not tho...maybe as a non-inheritable skill.

REVIVES THE DEAD THREAD BWAHAHA YOUR TRY AND STOP ME, GUTS!

Anyway I would love to see either Octopath Traveler or Nine Parchments in the game. I made some up so here we go!

Octopath -

Olberic: Unbending Blade
Infantry Sword
Weapon: Hornberg’s Might (Mt 16. Grants +3 Def. When attacked, and foe can double, grants +12 damage to unit’s counter attack. Skill not inheritable.)
Assist: Smite
Special: Brand’s Thunder (Cooldown 3. Resolves battle as if foes has -60% Def. If foes is defeated after special is used, unit recovers half of damage dealt. Skill cannot be inherited.)
A: Unbending Blade 3 (When attacked, and unit cannot counter attack, Unit recieves +7Def/Res in battle)
B: Vantage 3
C: Stout Wall 3 (When unit is hit with damage outside of battle, Unit will only take half damage. Skill cannot be inherited.)

Therion: Master Thief
Infantry Dagger
Weapon: Soul Dagger (Mt 10. Unit can counter attack regardless of distance. After battle, unit inflicts -7 damage on foes within 2 spaces of target. After battle, unit inflicts -7 Atk/Spd on foes with two spaces of target. Skill cannot be inherited.)
Assist: Pivot
Special: Aeber’s Reckoning (Cooldown 3. Damage is boosted by 50% of the unit’s speed.)
A: Death Blow 4
B: Steal Heal (Skill cannot be inherited. Upon activating special, unit recieves half od damage dealt back as health.)
C: Savage Blow 3

And for Nine Parchments
Marvek: Searing Senior
Infantry Red Tome
Weapon: Cursed Meteor Storm (Mt 14. When unit attacks, foe cannot counterattacks. When unit reaches 70% or lower. Unit recieves +7Atk/Spd and -7Def/Res. Skill not inheritable.)
Assist: Adored Baking (When used on an ally, ally recieves an extra turn, and +3 Atk. Skill not inheritable.)
Special: Tough Cookie (It’s miracle, but it gives +7 atk when used. Cooldown 5, Skill not inheritable.)
A: Death Blow 4
B: Renewal 3
C: Even Atk Wave 3

Mechanical Owl: Lighting Rod
Armored Blue Tome (don’t toll your eyes he’s a robot).
Weapon: Owl’s Lighting Rod (Unit can counter attack regardless of distance. Unit has triangle disadvantage, Unit recieves +7 Def/Res during combat. If unit is against Colorless foes, Units is given triangle advantage. Skill not inheritable.)
Assist: Swap
Special: Power Circle (Before combat, unit reduces all allies within two spaces cooldowns by 2, and does damage calculated on unit’s attack before battle. Skill not inheritable.)
A: Battle Bird 3 (when unit is under 50% health, Unit recieves +7 Atk/Spd/Def/Res. Skill not inheritable.)
B: Desperation 3
C: Odd Def Wave 3

Report

Damn, didn't expect that there would be multiple brave people attempting to ressurect a thread that I have closed with such an emotional finisher.

Nice ideas tho. I know nothing about Nine parchments and I had to google it, but the owl sounds like a real badass.
Also, I'm having on and off feelings about getting Octopath. I love the art design, but even though I'm a huge fan of jrpgs, I'm not sure if I can take a big jrpg with the small amount of time for games that I have, so I would play it maybe for like 1 hour a week. Is it worth getting even in that case?

Saitama is already completely overpowered even in his own universe, so it only makes sense that he would be broken in FEH as well. Dopey expression is probably the best skill ever.

Hi Guts
I'm pretty late, only got to see this post now. So no one had anything to say about your insightful build on young Golden Age merc Guts? Really? I guess BERSERK is not as popular amongst otakus as I thought. Anyways, I think your build and description was really good, the skills and stats fit his character and age. When I was reading the stats, I was thinking "no wayyyy..." his numbers should be a lot higher, def and res especially, but then I saw you were building young Guts, and I agree completely that it would fit during that era of his life. (That kill with the huge armored guy Bazuso was great, when Guts slams his sword through his helmet and skull with his eye popping out). Like you said before, Ike really does resemble Guts, but also in terms of his different age progression units and corresponding stats.

I know we've talked about what BERSERK characters would look like in the chibi FEH form style, I can imagine what a lota them would look like in my head... Jaffar kinda looks like Silat, Camilla to me resembles Slan but just not as a apostle/demon god. A Griffith shiny light armored calvary sword unit, His apostle Femto form as a flyer with the vibe of how Grima female Robin feels but times 50, Schierke as a overpowered cleric healer/tome user, Skull Knight as a heavy duty sword calvary (that can fly) or hell, even armor, Locus as a long ass lancer calvary, Irvine as an archer/calvary (when in apostle form), Grunbeld... fuck I would love to see him in FEH.. with his huge ass axe/shield as a armored dragon! He basically is what is already the meta now hellllloooo IS, get into talks with Kentaro Miura for this crossover please..

Just thought of this now, Walhart kinda looks like Grunbeld, but the armor pattern and color scheme is different
