Kinda difficult to say since Orbs are being given left and right for things like the Bonds event, Compensation Orbs, Log In bonuses, etc.

Many would say three months and a third or so. The number of free orbs per month is somewhere around 300.

Also, don't set your expectations too high. Just 'cuz you saved up orbs doesn't guarantee you'll summon anything you want.

I know there’s still a heavy luck factor, but I just kinda wanna do it. I mean, I’ve git the Heroes I need to make the highest scoring team I can out of heroes who aren’t 5 star exclusives, and I’ve seen this week that 3 maxes merge heroes and one of the Askran Trio as a bonus hero is enough to easily get T21. Not stay there I’m sure, but I don’t mind being T20.5

Well, I saved up around 1500 in roughly idk, five maybe six months. After pulling on CYL2 I'm still at 1200. I got everything I wanted quite easily. That banner was nice to me!
