How important is quadding with B!Celica, really?

..I mean, even with a speed bane, she hits 39 speed just with Royal Sword equipped. Speed +3 seal and a Hone Spd buff and she's at 46 speed.

Really not that bad.

Honestly, there are few units that she needs to Quad in order to kill, especially when you're running a 2 cooldown special. (or a 3 cooldown special + quickened pulse)

Her weapon also kinda just cancels out a bane, and 39 speed is still pretty darn fast (without accounting for team buffs!)

Mine is the same IV, and she shits on everything so hard with Unbuffed 60 ATK double that it dosent even matter that she can’t quad. Even then as the other guy said, just give her some buffs (cough cough Veronica) and she will break 45 SPD. I’m serious about her and Veronica tho, the heal allows you to proc double lion again, and her Veronica’s special grants +6 ATK/SPD which are the stats Celica needs.

Makes sense. I'm so torn about who to use my free summon on right now, because on the one hand I really want Veronica, she'd be great with Celica and I love OP healers in general, but on the other hand, my armor team *really* needs Brave Hector. I'm crossing my fingers that I manage to summon one of them soon so I can use my free summon on the other.

I JUST pulled a +atk/-spd Celica, so this is actually a really convenient post to see. Glad she's still pretty usable. :)

I don't have her but I would expect her to destroy most things in two hits. It's the same thing about Elincia - she can be built to quad, but she'll often destroy things in two hits anyways. It's when Double Lion is used up that she might want her spd. (Even then 39 isn't bad)

Interesting, I’m in the same position, I have two options, both decent, one was +spd/-hp and the other was +atk/-spd. This thread is making me lean towards the +atk build. 39 speed is still quad territory for a great many opponents.

True. Another thing to remember (that I need to remember too): faster units tend to have less def, which means the ones she can't quad are often the ones she can kill in two hits anyway.

I said "tend to", not "always". ;) Also, even a +spd Celica couldn't quad that without changing her kit. That said, a +atk Celica with Death Blow 4 initiates for 60 attack. Your Zelgius has 42 def on enemy phase. With double lion active, she hits him twice for 18 damage. Throw in a Moonbow for 12 more, or a QP Draconic Aura for 18, and you have one dead Zelgius, no quads or armorsmasher required. (Without double lion I grant you she'd be dead as a doornail, Black Luna is not to be messed with.)

Firesweep+/DB4/DL/HB and you can quad units without even getting touched and just turn things to dust
