Of course Hector powercreeps himself... again

At this point in time, the powercreep is hardly worth a crap. There's nothing ''meta' changing' or anything. It's the same movement type being buffed to oblivion. Armored units are probably the most used and abused Emblem team in the game's existence because of Fighter skills and BST, for some strange reason, being counted for Arena scoring.

4 Hector's, and not one of them interest me enough to even consider getting him aside from the first 3 for Distant Counter fodder.

I wouldn't mind a flier unit being powercreep, but, honestly, at this point in time the constant "MOAR ARMOR BUFFZZ!!!" is extremely boring and stale.

It is a pretty big deal, if you think about it.

- Higher HP than the last Hector on top of 2 (?) extra Res.
- He has an even more broken DC. It gives +4 Def/Res, which kills DC's biggest weaknesses of costing you an A-slot (no extra stats)
- He can double you on Player and Enemy Phase...yeah.

It's a big deal in the aspect that it already adds to the boring 'meta' that we already have. Like mentioned already, armored units are still the same as they were before, generally speaking, it's just that now that have ANOTHER Hector that's arguably better than his previous forms, and an armored Ephraim. It's given nothing 'new' to the table aside from Celica I guess.

People are still going to be using the same teams that they were using before thanks to CYL giving two armored units with incredible skills.

Oh. I get that.

Then again, are people downplaying Veronica a bit? She seems pretty broken to me, albeit in a much more subtle way. While Wrathful + Dazzling on horseback isn't exactly new, she comes with the whole kit on top of better offensive stats (namely Spd), a 14-Mt staff with Peshkatz effect. This is insanely good in practice as much as it is in paper. She literally can't get hit- and she can still counter, even if that does happen.

I was too kinda disapointed by the lack of a flying unit during this CYL, two armored units, come on IS do something a little original for once.
Last year's CYL was completely meta subverting while not too powercrept, a very good balance in my opinion.
On the other hand this year's CYL is just following the current meta, even intensifying it with powercreep, too bad.

You can't actually compare him to his other selves because he is blue. And that means you can use him another variant of himself at the same time.
