Definitely a very good unit, but I think she could be better. There are more potent seals than atk/def 2, and for a +10 I actually find her slightly slow, especially considering that she's a fast unit.

I think I would like 44 spd better if you were using steady breath (or warding breath to increase her chances of dropping into wrath's +10 range) or slaying edge, which guarantees a big moonbow every time she starts her turn with lowered HP. If you have resources you might consider giving her slaying edge+res, DC, and distant def seal for PvE modes. The other idea I had was using bonfire with flashing blade seal...that's a slightly different play style but something you might consider.

If she wants more atk I would be looking to teammates for buffs.

Congrats on completing the +10.

Assuming you’re not using this in arena, then it’s fine. If you do use her in arena, then replace Repo, Moonbow, Atk/Def, and Fury for skills with higher weight. Repo and Moonbow can be replaced by a Dual Rally and Aether. With the Tempest Trials coming up, Joshua is a 5* reward, so you can give her Close Def as a way to boost her arena scoring and make her even more tanky. As for the seal, Close Def would be your best bet. Having double Close Def will make her extremely tanky

Not bad, though Honestly I don't like Fury on her Brazen Atk/Def seems like it would be better since you seem to want to focus her on being a bit of a Physical tank.

I myself have just started building a Selena, that's quite different, but still cool to see these less used units getting some love.

First off, 47 DEF?? With 44 SPD?? 54 ATK?? Before buffs? She looks like an absolute monster.

If anything I would try Bonfire + Slaying Edge instead of Wo Dao + Moonbow. I guess Moonbow/WoDao is probably better damage against high DEF units, but Slaying/Bonfire's damage is more consistent.

Just out of curiosity, who do you normally run on a team with her? I feel like that could help narrow down specifics about her build or any possible changes. Either way congrats on +10!!

Replace fury with SB, CD or other defensive skill.
Her defense is high but the recoil damage from fury is no good from her.

Report

Actually yes I second this. She has so much def that it becomes a sustaining mechanism in itself. I wouldn't throw away the sustain with fury.

Report

I disagree, I think Fury is helpful in pushing her into Wrath range. Her stats are well-rounded so she benefits well from the overall stat boost, and she's not really built to be a SB/Aether sustain tank either

Report

If she is no tank, why invest in her def? and instead better go for spd with LnD and a instant special activation with Slaying edge after the first combat?.

Imo all that defence go to waste when she takes 6 dmg in every combat, but whatever that just my pov.

I don't consider this build a "tank" I consider it more "melee duelist." The point in investing in defense is presumably so she can take a hit well enough to win matchups and retaliate with boosted specials. I assume if this person were wanting Selena to be a full tank, they would be running something like Guard instead of Wrath in the first place.

6 damage from Fury isn't as much a big deal when a) it synergizes with Wrath and b) she only realistically has to win a few matchups in Arena anyway. True that Fury and Wrath is difficult to take advantage of in something like Tempest Trials or Chain Challenge but I don't think that's the main purpose here

Report

If you interpret her as a duelist, yes I think you're making reasonable claims. However, when I think of Selena I think "extremely difficult to take down at the expense of lower atk" so she compensates by charging enormous specials.

Hmm, activating wrath is also a very good point. Maybe we should use brazen def/res or brazen atk/def? I do think she has so much def that she gains the ability to fight 5-6 opponents or even more without needing to heal, so the point of the brazen is that she drops into wrath range and then she becomes extremely resistant to damage.
