Wo Gun/Slaying Axe + Distant Counter + Quick Riposte + Atk Smoke + Distant Defense + Iceberg = Mage counter. 39 resistance on enemy phase, and the increased damage from his weapon (or reduced cooldown). You could also forgo DC for a different A skill and seal to make him a blue/green Dragon slayer.
