Hector the benchwarmer.

I have only had one spare hector since I started playing(dc is hard to acquire) I considered the pro's & con's and decided to give it to my ayra and I have no regrets, since then I have invested alot in her.

The point is I say give it to your favorite unit and not what other people think you should do,the last thing you want is to give it to a unit that you don't see yourself using.

I'll likely wait a bit, I need to be careful with the divine dew, but it's very likely I'll go with Lloyd.

I feel a DC Lloyd pairs well with Linus. Lloyd can cover for Linus' massive weakness to red/green magic an Linus can take down lance units that would endanger Lloyd.

Now to find a mage and fourth unit to fill the team out..

I never had a Hector of any kind and all my copies of Lloyd are just sitting around. I never paid much attention to him but taking a look at his stats, he is that kind of physical unit that can tank magic better than physical damage but sadly has their full combat potential limited by range. Do you like the character ? If I were you, I would keep my only copy of Hector because F2P, but if I had a spare and really liked Lloyd, I would do it. So if you like this character and don't mind foddering off the Hector, go for it if you're sure that's what you want. From what I can see, it's not a bad investment.

I also had a Hector that was mostly a benchwarmer. Eventually, I foddered off his DC to best dragon Myrrh. The Lloyd build you suggested with his Regal Blade(Eff), works well with DC.

Do you have any other units in consideration that you might want to pass DC to besides Lloyd?

I had Zephiel in mind, since he already has the refined eckesacks.
But since I already have more than enough DC armored units, I kinda don't want to do that (Black Knight, Hardin, LA!Hector, Male Grima)
Was probably going to use Hawkeye, but then I pulled a Dorcas, so that seems like a waste.
From what I have, the best options are Lloyd, Roy, Normal Eliwood, Titania, Caeda, Clair and Florina.
As you can see, I want a unit that can take a magic hit, not one that's supposed to just kill (like Ayra would)

Report

Then use Roy. Lloyd is useful once per battle (when he's at full hp and gets the benefit of Regal Blade). Unless you want to devote a healer or pseudo-healer to him for the entire battle, he's not worth it. Roy's new refine makes him a threat to dragon's, gives an exceptional quick riposte, and will make him the bait and kill threat you're looking for.
The only other unit I'd consider from that list is Caeda, but her offense is so weak she needs it boosted in her A slot, like the Life and Death I run along with Desperation.

Report

Do note that Lloyds effect is when the enemy has 100% heath. As mage bait he has +3 atk/spd in 90% of his fights.

Still, Roy is an option worth considering, not sure what to do with his B slot though.
Ceada (and Clair) seem more like player phase units. They feel better as destroying armored units with effective damage and specials. DC in the A slot kinda ruins that
