There's no character that becomes useless if he has bad IV, it will just work a bit worse. That's even more true if said character is a top tier one

I disagree; -Atk on any unit makes them pretty much incapable of doing damage. The only unit that can sort of take a -Atk is Azama, only because his Atk is already shit.
-Spd makes any ranged unit unusable, considering there are Ninos with 46 speed and Brave Lyns with 50 speed upwards in arena. -Spd makes it so pretty much everything doubles you.

There are many units that can use an attack bane. The only unit I refuse to use with an attack bane is Olwen (and I guess Odin, but that's a different story..).

ares has 49 atk from -atk. thats not even that bad. just put him on a horse team with buffs and voila!. -atk on most units doesnt do much. plus, thats why theres this r e a l l y cool skill called fury. it boosts every stat but hp by 3. aint that cool as shit?
