Auto farm feathers issue

its not really an issue, nor is it something that IS can "fix"

someone like me wouldn't know how to run scripts on my phone so i have to farm on my own. i only knew how to do so on nox which already had an app for it but now the game isnt supported on the emulator. other people who do know how to run scripts had to learn how to make them and the easier farming is their reward.

its kinda like saying its unfair that people who get college scholarships get money for tuition but others dont get scholarships and have to pay for everything on their own. you feel me? like u gotta work for the scholarship for years, building a portfolio or whatever and writing an essay. same thing with scripting, first you gotta learn, then you gotta do.

and IS really cant do anything about it because its a 2nd party program that doesn't touch or affect the game files of a MOBILE game. if the game was on PC then sure IS could track people down and ban them but why would they? the script auto farming method is basically just hitting auto in-game. the only difference would be smarter AI.

and GHBs took up a lot of stamina which was a slow-replenishing resource and if people were using up 99 stamina in 10 minutes just to try and finish one map on infernal, then IS would be losing playtime. if they just lowered the stamina requirement then congrats, the 10 minutes of stamina just became 20 minutes of stamina. this way, IS has more people playing the game for longer.

and so what if its a cheap exploit? Hero Merit has no impact on competitive play and i can do the same thing with auto mode while i binge on netflix while docking my phone next to my laptop

Comparing it to a scholarship? Lolwtf.

Learning how to run the script takes you two minutes if you have half a brain. Some investment there buddy.

Aside from that, I couldn't care less about others cheating their way to max HM like this. The game already has enough insane +10 enemies in Arena that it doesn't really add a troublesome difficulty or unfair feeling whilst playing.

I do think it is a stupid implementation, however.

I need to correct one thing. The people auto farming are not running script, they are just using emulator. There is a video showcasing this and it is very easy to do, though I haven’t tried it on my own. While I agree with most of your views, I would like to point out that feathers DO have impact on competitive play. I have numerous Corrin, ATiki, Nowi, Effie sitting in the barrack, waiting for feathers to +10 them to 5 stars. Most of my units are not equipped with premium skills like Aether because I just don’t have that many feathers to upgrade 5 star units to fodder skills like Aether, Galeforce etc. Farming feathers fast would definitely help out a lot and this also means people can get to Tier 20 easier and get better reward. This is unfair to those who choose a different path.

The fix is quite easy in my view: make GHB cost stamina again. I have over 220 bottles of stamina and don’t think I would run out of them in normal play.

Could always just limit the number of times you are allowed to do GHB per day.

If you do this by making it cost stamina, everybody would be happy.

I see nothing wrong with it. I have my own life and can't dedicate hours upon hours in tempest trials. I just want to have fun and work on my own +10 projects and not complain about not having enough feathers for QR3 or Aether. Grinding endlessly is a bore so if I can take advantage of the game I will.

What will probably end up happening is that they will patch it so once you clear it, you stop earning HM.

That said, they really need to do something or score inflation will go through the roof in a few weeks, and unless you have triple +10s you won't even stand a chance to stay in T20.

I contemplated for a few days about doing it, and yesterday took 10 mins to set it up, and it works like a charm (there's a video by Rasouli IIRC that has a comment with a link to the reddit thread).

I kinda feel dirty, but the truth is if I don't take advantage of it, I'll get too far behind. It's hard enough as a F2P to stay in T20 to look away from this.

In half a day I made a full merge. It's ridicoulous.
My advice is to enjoy it while it lasts, and hope it doesn't last long for the sake of the community.

Currently farming feathers on Berkut Hard GHB using (from left to right) NY Corrin, brave Ike, Legendary Ike/Hinata, and Fjorm.

Hinata just gave me 500 feathers. Shrugs.
